Princess of Alabasta · Heir to Nefertari D Lily · Imu’s stated obsession

Profile

Hidden with Morgans and Wapol on the World Economy News ship. Per Ch. 1179 (PAGE-VERIFIED — VIZ wording), Imu’s stated obsession is “I desire… …Vivi…” (p. 6) — strongly suggesting Vivi is significant to Imu specifically, not just as a politically inconvenient witness. As the modern heir of Nefertari D. Lily, Vivi may be either a Joy Boy-aligned figure or an Imu-vessel target.

Arc-by-arc updates

Elbaf window — Imu’s fixation goes textual (Ch. 1179) — mentioned (photo/portrait)

  • @1179 Imu’s fixation goes textual on-page: “I desire… …Vivi…” (p. 6), spoken over a photograph of Vivi and a dark-hall portrait of a long-haired woman (Lily or Vivi — uncaptioned). See Imu Identity, Imu Possessed Lily.

Egghead — Imu orders her capture (Ch. 1086)

  • Reported missing in the Reverie aftermath (“Has anyone seen Princess Vivi of Alabasta?!”, p. 3). In the Chamber of Flowers, Imu states “I desire Vivi…” and the Gorosei answer “It will be done” (p. 10) — Imu’s pursuit of Vivi made explicit. See Imu Identity.

Reverie — Kidnapped by CP0 (Ch. 1085)

  • In a Pangaea Castle guest room Vivi is found bound and threatens to “tell the entire world about what happened here” (p. 14).
  • Her captors are revealed: Kalifa and Jabra of CP-0 (Cipher Pol Aigis Zero) — Kalifa tells her she’ll “go down as ‘missing’… and end up as someone’s pet” (p. 14). This is the on-page basis for the “disappearance of Princess Vivi” reported Ch. 956/Ch. 1054.
  • Defiant: “Be someone’s pet? Over my dead body!!” (p. 15).

Egghead / Final Saga (Ch. 1074) — shown

  • Revealed alive in MorgansWorld Economic Journal newsroom (p. 17), captioned Princess of Alabasta — Nefeltari Vivi — the first concrete answer to her post-Reverie disappearance (the Navy’s reported “disappearance of Princess Vivi” at Ch. 1054). She is NOT in WG/Imu custody. See Imu Identity, Vivi Sheltering With Morgans’ World Economic Journal.
  • Tearfully defends Luffy against Morgans’ sensational front page: “This is why I hate the World Economic Journal!! Luffy would never do something like that!!” Wapol scolds her for talking back to “Morgy.”
  • Sharing the newsroom with fellow exiled monarch Wapol; “Those are my clothes… I’ll never wash them again!!!”

Final Saga / Reverie fallout (Ch. 1060) — reported, not shown

  • Reported in the news as having gone missing in Marijoa during the Reverie’s fallout (pp. 3–4); the Straw Hat crew is distraught and wants to search for her. Not shown on-page.

Reverie aftermath — vanished (Ch. 1054) — reported, not shown

  • Navy HQ notes “the disappearance of Princess Vivi” amid the Reverie fallout (p. 16); her ship is stranded at the Red Port and Alabasta is dealt “a double blow” (Cobra’s death + Vivi gone, p. 17). Vivi does not appear on-page.

Reverie aftermath (Ch. 956) — named, not shown

  • Named as the subject of “the incident regarding the Kingdom of Alabasta” that breaks after the Reverie; the Navy commits its full resources to it (p. 4). Vivi does not appear on-page — only the report does. See Imu Identity.

Reverie (Ch. 908) — shown

  • At Mary Geoise, anxious for her father Cobra — “Oh, Pell… where’s Papa?” — who has “gone with Admiral Fujitora, the one who sent that letter,” to meet King Riku of Dressrosa (p. 3).

Reverie — restrains the allies from provoking the World Nobles (Ch. 907)

  • Tries to stop Rebecca and the others from intervening as Saint Charlos chains Shirahoshi — “Stop, Rebecca!! They’re Celestial Dragons!!” / “If you anger them, they could completely destroy Dressrosa!!” (pp. 9-10).

Reverie (Ch. 906)

  • At the Reverie mingling courtyard in Pangaea Castle; reunites with Rebecca, Leo, and Sai, and coaches the over-honest Shirahoshi on polite white lies — warning that openly befriending the pirate Luffy could cause an “international problem.”
  • Recapped via an Alabasta refresher (Crocodile’s coup foiled by Luffy’s crew; Vivi once sailed with them).

Zou / Reverie prelude (Ch. 823)

  • Departs Alabasta for the Reverie at Mariejois with her father; splash-style intro on the ship’s figurehead (caption “PRINCESS OF ALABASTA / NEFERTARI VIVI,” p. 3); deflects Cobra’s marriage-photo guilt-tripping. Escorted by Rear Admiral Hina.

Alabasta — sets sail (chapter-end teaser) (Ch. 822)

  • In a closing cut to Alabasta, the Kingdom of Sand, Vivi boards a ship with her father in a buoyant mood — “Can you blame me? It’s been so long… since I was last at sea!!” — with Karoo alongside (p. 17). Launches the Alabasta royals’ voyage (their road toward the Reverie; see Reverie Holy Land Of Mariejois First Named On Page).

Post-Enies Lobby (Ch. 439)

  • In Alabasta, sees Nico Robin (“Miss All Sunday”) among Luffy’s crew on the wanted posters. Unshaken, she tearfully declares total trust in Luffy: “Whatever he does, I trust him… He will become the King of the Pirates.” (pp. 17-18). With Karoo.

Alabasta aftermath — recalled by the people (Ch. 217) — Stowaway — her speech and “no title dearer than Father” words drive the rebuilding montage (she is NOT physically present)

  • Vivi’s speech is collectively re-told by the rebuilding populace (Ch. 217 pp. 4-8). The desert towns and Alubarna citizens recount “Princess Vivi’s speech” as the moral fuel for reconstruction (“We have to do our part!”, “All right! Let’s start rebuilding!”). Her private daughter-to-king words to Nefertari Cobra are recounted (pp. 7-8): “Father… I have something very important to tell you. …I’m a king, but no title is dearer to me… than that of ‘Father.’” Canonizes the Nefertari family-over-crown ethos. First on-page post-departure Vivi-as-national-rallying-symbol beat. She is NOT physically present — she stayed in Alabasta and the crew (with her on-page Ch. 0216 farewell) has already sailed; last_appearance stays Ch. 216. Cross-link Nefertari Cobra (speech-recipient), Straw Hat Pirates (the crew that mourns her one chapter later).

Alabasta — Farewell at East Port Tamarisk (Ch. 216) — chooses to stay as princess; the X-mark salute

  • LOAD-BEARING — Vivi formally declines to continue as a crewmate (pp. 13-16). Racing to the harbor cliff on Karoo with a microphone: “Thank you for everything!! …but when it comes down to it… I’d like to continue my adventures… So I can’t go!!” — first on-page Vivi-chooses-the-kingdom-over-the-crew beat; the arc’s central character-resolution. Cross-link Straw Hat Pirates, Karoo.
  • Tearful “WILL YOU CALL ME YOUR SHIPMATE?!!” (p. 16) — Vivi asks to be remembered as crew even as she stays behind; “But if we ever see each other again…” (conditional-reunion register).
  • The X-mark salute payoff (pp. 17-19) — because the Navy is watching and an open farewell would brand her a pirate-collaborator (“The princess belonged to that pirate gang?!”, p. 17; Nami: “If we give them proof that she’s our friend, they’ll brand her a criminal… The navy is watching Vivi”), the crew cannot wave or call out. Instead they silently raise X-marked left arms; Vivi raises hers in answer, weeping and smiling. Pays off the Ch. 0157 fellowship-sign she herself proposed. Cross-link Straw Hat Crew X-Mark Left-Arm Fellowship Sign.
  • Childhood flashback — origin of her resolve (pp. 2-3, 6) — young Vivi learns from Igaram that Baroque Works is a leaderless underground organization plotting to overthrow Alabasta; vows “I can’t sit idly by while they destroy Alabasta!!”; the adult-frame answers Igaram’s “Do you have the resolve… to stay alive?” with “I’ve been on an adventure.” Cross-link Igaram, Vivi Stay-Alive Resolve Question Igaram-Childhood Origin (new).
  • Public ceremony speech as coded-truth (pp. 5-9) — broadcast across Alubarna: “It was a journey of hope across a sea of despair… a little ship that never lost its way even in the dark… In time, historians will say it’s just a legend… But for me, that was the truth.” A listener calls it “the untold story of her struggle.” Cross-link Vivi Public Speech Untold-Story-Of-Her-Struggle Coded-Truth Beat (new).
  • Reunion-with-Igaram completes the Ch. 0114 may we… covenant — Igaram is alive at her side, fretting (“I hope the people don’t riot”; “CUT IT OUT, LORD IGARAM!!”). Cross-link Vivi Meet Again In Our Homeland Echo Setup (now confirmed).

Alabasta — Alubarna Palace, coming-of-age ceremony prep (Ch. 215) — Last Waltz — crew-vs-crown choice staged; “I don’t know what to say”

  • LOAD-BEARING — the crew-vs-crown decision-point is staged via the coming-of-age ceremony (Ch. 215 pp. 2-6). Vivi is dressed by Terracotta for her royal coming-of-age ceremony (formally marking her passage “from child to adult”), to be broadcast kingdom-wide by Transponder Snail. She declares (off-panel, in a pirate hat as a joke) “I’M GOING TO BECOME A PIRATE QUEEN!!” (p. 2), then confesses “But I don’t know what to say” / “I don’t know what to say” (pp. 5-6) — the unspoken weighing of whether to stay a princess or leave with the Straw Hats. First on-page Vivi-coming-of-age-ceremony beat; the arc’s final emotional thread before her departure decision.
  • Terracotta (Igaram’s wife, palace head chamberlain) dresses Vivi (pp. 3-5): “The ceremony celebrates your passage from child to adult… all you have to do is let everyone see how you’ve grown.”
  • Off-page, the Straw Hats fight Hina’s blockade and Bon Clay sacrifices himself for them — the friends Vivi is deciding between are at that moment risking their lives to leave.
  • Cross-link Vivi Coming-Of-Age Ceremony Crew-Vs-Crown Choice (new), Igaram (Ch. 0215 dressing-room burst-in), Terracotta (Ch. 0215 dresses Vivi), Bon Clay (Ch. 0215 off-page sacrifice), Alubarna (Ch. 0215 palace ceremony), Straw Hat Recruitment Pattern.

Alabasta — Alubarna Palace (Ch. 214) — Given the East-Port farewell ultimatum; agonizes over becoming a pirate

  • Alone in the empty palace hall, tells Igaram the crew is gone: “They’ve gone to sea. ‘Cause that’s where pirates belong.” (p. 3).
  • Receives the X-mark farewell terms over the Transponder-Snail strategy call (p. 14) — the crew will make a no-anchor stop at the East Port at 12 noon tomorrow; she has 12 hours to decide whether to join them as a fellow pirate. Luffy: “You have to come! Come with us now!!”; Nami: “That’s not the point! She has to decide for herself!”
  • Computes the decision-clock and lies awake agonizing (p. 15): “It’ll take Karoo four hours to run there, so I’d have to leave here by eight.” / “I never thought I’d actually consider becoming a pirate.” / “Even though the rebellion is over, there are tough times ahead for the kingdom.” — the arc-finale choice is now framed; resolved at the farewell (~Ch. 216).
  • Cross-link Straw Hat Crew X-Mark Left-Arm Fellowship Sign (Ch. 214 farewell-rendezvous setup), Karoo, Igaram, Nami.

Alabasta — wind-down (Ch. 213)

  • Nursed Luffy through his 3-day fever alongside Chopper.
  • In the great baths, hears from Nami that the crew intends to leave tonight; first on-page articulation of the imminent stay-or-go decision-point.
  • Cross-link Nami (delivers the leave-decision), Luffy (nursed), Tony Tony Chopper (co-nurse), Alubarna.

Alabasta — Alubarna palace infirmary (Ch. 212) — Some Justice — awake at the window watching the rain; mourns Pell as the noblest warrior she’s ever known

  • Awake at the infirmary window watching the rain (Ch. 212 pp. 11-13). Among the wounded sleeping after the war (Cobra and Igaram snoring nearby), Vivi cannot sleep. Igaram: “Princess Vivi… you’re still awake? …Can’t you sleep?” Vivi: “I don’t want to sleep. I just want… to keep watching the rain fall.” — first natural rain in three years. Quiet survivor-grief register closing the civil war.
  • Mourns Pell as dead (Ch. 212 p. 13). “Ah, Pell… I wish I could’ve thanked him. …Yes. He was the noblest warrior I’ve ever known.” Igaram: “That is the greatest tribute you could pay him.” Premature eulogy — Pell survived his self-sacrifice. The dramatic irony plants the Pell-is-actually-alive payoff. See Vivi Mourns Pell Noblest Warrior Premature-Eulogy (new).
  • Cross-link Igaram (window-companion), Pell (mourned, off-page), Nefertari Cobra (sleeping nearby), Alubarna.

Alabasta — civil-war end (Ch. 211) — reunites with Cobra + crew; the crew declines the palace; crew-vs-kingdom choice installed

  • Races through the palace and into the streets searching for the Straw Hats (Ch. 211 pp. 8-9); finds them with the unconscious, poisoned Luffy on Sanji’s back.
  • Reunites with her father Cobra and the crew; the crew declines the palace and politics (Ch. 211 p. 11): “We’re notorious pirates, remember?” / “Sorry, Vivi, you can’t [come].” — installs the crew-vs-kingdom choice. Vivi resolves to tell everyone what the Straw Hats did. (Choice resolves in the X-mark farewell, forward-canon Ch. 0213.) Cross-link Nefertari Cobra (Ch. 0211 reunion / father), Luffy (Ch. 0211 poison-cured), Sanji (Ch. 0211 carries Luffy), Alubarna.

Alabasta — Alubarna, the war ends (Ch. 210) — “STOP FIGHTING!!! …The nightmare is finally over!!”

  • LOAD-BEARING — her stop-the-fighting plan lands (Ch. 210 pp. 8, 12-14). Vivi screams over the chaos (“STOP… FIGHTING!!! …DON’T FIGHT ANYMORE!!!”, p. 8); as the rain clears the smoke her voice reaches both armies (“…reached them. Vivi’s voice…”, p. 13) and she is revealed to the troops (“It’s Princess Vivi… I thought she wasn’t here.”, p. 14). The Ch. 0187 “if we can get everyone’s attention for only a few seconds” / “the people ARE the kingdom” plan finally cashes — the rain + the palace-distraction + her voice combine to end the civil war by de-escalation, not victory.
  • Closes the arc-thesis (p. 15): rain-soaked, smiling through tears — “The nightmare… is finally over!!” — first on-page Vivi-declares-the-war-over beat.
  • Reaction-anchor for the Luffy eruption (pp. 5-6): “Luffy…” wide-eyed close-up before the win is confirmed.
  • Cross-link Vivi Destroy The Palace Strategic-Distraction Plan (Ch. 210 payoff evidence add), Vivi Stop The Fighting Only For A Moment Plan-Articulation (Ch. 210 payoff evidence add), Luffy, Alubarna.

Alabasta — Alubarna battlefield, STOP FIGHTING!!! (Ch. 209) — screams to stop the war but cannot be heard over the battle

  • Screams “STOP FIGHTING!!!” across the battlefield (Ch. 209 pp. 6-7) — repeated, desperate, drowned out by the roar of the war (RAAAAH). “Why won’t they stop?!” / “This is madness!” / “We have to save as many people as possible!!” First on-page demonstration that the war cannot be stopped by voice alone — operationally establishes the premise of her destroy-the-palace plan (a few seconds of everyone’s attention). The Ch. 0188 “THE PEOPLE ARE THE KINGDOM!!” decree and the palace-destruction spectacle are the answer to this beat. Cross-link Vivi Stop Fighting Scream Unheard Over The War Beat (new), Cobra People-Are-The-Kingdom Doctrine, Alubarna.

Alabasta — Alubarna plaza (Ch. 208) — screams up at Crocodile during the cannonball countdown; appears in Pell’s childhood secret-flight flashback

  • Confronts the silhouetted Crocodile as the cannonball ticks down (Ch. 208 pp. 5-6): “Is this all a big joke to you?!” / “Is there no limit to your evil?!” / “CROCODILE!!!” — the princess’s moral-outrage register at the moment the bomb threatens both armies and the civilians.
  • Appears in Pell’s childhood secret-flight flashback (Ch. 208 pp. 12-13) as a young girl Pell flew against the King’s order (“Higher!! Lots higher!!”). The flashback canonizes a personal Pell-Vivi bond predating the arc; Pell’s sacrifice is framed as protecting her specifically and the Nefertari line.
  • Cross-link Pell (the guardian who sacrifices himself), Crocodile, Nefertari D Family, Alubarna, Pell Falcon-Sacrifice Carries Bomb Skyward Arc-Climax.

Alabasta — Alubarna clock tower / square (Ch. 207) — coordinates the bomb-intercept; witnesses Pell’s sacrifice; learns the bomb is on a timer

  • Coordinates the bomb-intercept attempt (pp. 5-8) — with the air-route lost, Vivi calls the play to fling Chopper at the falling bomb (“Chopper, Vivi, you ready?!” / “okay!!”); she is the field-coordinator of the desperate defuse.
  • Witnesses Pell’s sacrifice (pp. 8-16) — sees the falcon catch the bomb and carry it skyward; reacts to its airborne detonation and to Pell’s battered survival.
  • Learns the bomb is on a timer and will explode anyway (p. 18) — Vivi (horror): “the bomb is on a timer!! It’s going to explode anyway!!” — relays Crocodile’s self-detonation reveal as the chapter’s closing dread-beat.
  • Cross-link Pell (the sacrifice she witnesses), Tony Tony Chopper (the bomb-catch she coordinates), Crocodile (the timer-reveal she relays), Alubarna.

Alabasta — clock-tower top (Ch. 206) — Ignition — flung up the tower to reach the cannon; recognized as Ms. Wednesday by the BW crew

  • The rescue-relay payload — flung up the clock tower to stop the cannon (Ch. 206 pp. 11-19). Carried by Chopper, relayed by Sanji, caught by Zoro; Zoro’s plan is to throw her to the cannon. Vivi: okay!! / cautioned be careful, Vivi!! there are a couple of weirdos up there! — she is the mission-objective made physical projectile.
  • Recognized by the BW cannon crew as the defector Ms. Wednesday (Ch. 206 p. 16). Mr. 7: I know her!! She betrayed the organization!! / Ms. Father’s Day: that’s Ms. Wednesday!! — first on-page former-codename-recognition of Vivi at the cannon, raising the stakes (the crew levels guns at her). Cross-link Vivi (former-codename recognition), Baroque Works.
  • Cross-link Nami, Zoro, Sanji, Tony Tony Chopper, Mr. 7, Ms. Father’s Day.

Alabasta — Alubarna clock tower (Ch. 205) — racing the clock to the bomber; counts on Pell

  • With the Strawhats at the clock tower, reacts to the one-minute window: “Even if this is the place, we’ll never make it up there in one minute!!” (Ch. 205 p. 16).
  • Reveals the crew had been counting on Pell’s flight to reach the tower: “I’d hoped that Pell might…” / “What happened to Pell?!” (Ch. 205 p. 16) — the lost aerial route (Usopp’s accidental shoot-down, this chapter) forces the timed ground assault. Cross-link Pell, Usopp Friendly-Fire Shoots Down Pell The Big Bird (new).
  • Proposes taking the stairs once the wall-smash option is ruled out: “We have no choice!! We’ll have to take the stairs!!” (Ch. 205 p. 18). Cross-link Alubarna.

Alabasta — racing to the bomb (Ch. 204) — Red — dashes for the square to stop the rigged explosion; intercepts and redirects a lost Zoro

Alabasta — Alubarna palace square (Ch. 203) — Crocodile-ish — deduces the hidden cannon’s location under the firing countdown

  • Deduces the hidden cannon’s location (Ch. 203 pp. 14-16). Under the ticking clock-tower countdown, Vivi reasons that a cannon big enough to crater a three-mile area must be in a single huge secluded space — “It’s big enough and secluded too! …I figured it out!! It has to be there!!” — and coordinates with Usopp/Koza to mark and reach it. Advances the Ch. 0193 cannonball Chekhov toward the defusal climax. Cross-link Usopp (signal-fire), Koza, Crocodile 430 Cannonball Three-Mile-Crater Palace-Square Massacre Plot.

Alabasta — Alubarna square (Ch. 199) — despair-then-hope; her voice revives Luffy

  • Despair at the square (Ch. 199 pp. 3-4) — “Alabasta is… no one can hear my pleas!! Everyone will be killed!” as the explosion lands.
  • Her voice rouses Luffy (Ch. 199 p. 4) — Luffy hears her plea and grins “I can hear… your voice!” — the captain-revived-by-Vivi’s-voice beat (pre-loaded Ch. 0177 Vivi’s strength is in her heart).
  • Cross-link Luffy, Crocodile.

Alabasta — Alubarna (Ch. 198) — the dust storm is Vivi’s Dance-Powder smokescreen to halt the war; Luffy returns at her side

  • LOAD-BEARING — the kingdom-scale dust storm over Alubarna is Vivi’s deliberate Dance-Powder deployment (pp. 6-16). Vivi releases a Dance Powder smokescreen over the capital to blind both armies and interrupt the engagement long enough to be heard — the operational successor to her Ch. 0187/0188 destroy-the-palace plan (same thesis, new mechanism). Crocodile names it on p. 14: “THIS IS… DANCE POWDER!!!” First on-page Vivi-turns-the-villain’s-own-weather-weapon-against-his-war beat.
  • Robin confirms the storm is Vivi’s but says it failed to reach the combatants (p. 10) — Robin (over the collapsed Cobra): “You fought well, little girl… but they can’t hear you now.”
  • Defies Crocodile’s ideals taunt while being slapped awake (p. 12, flashback): Crocodile (WHAP): “Wake up, princess. …Your idealism makes me want to vomit.” / Vivi: “I’ll never abandon my ideals!! I don’t care what you think!! …As princess, I’m responsible for the welfare of my people! I will never yield to you!! A monster like you could never understand!!” / Crocodile: “Only those with true power can afford to have ideals!”
  • Witness to Crocodile’s this kingdom is doomed, you can’t save it despair-doctrine (pp. 15-16) — her every intervention re-framed by Crocodile as casualty-multiplying.
  • Luffy returns to her side (pp. 16-19): Vivi (tears): “LUFFY!!” — the captain she refused to believe was dead (Ch. 0192) is alive and striking Crocodile.
  • Cross-link Crocodile, Nico Robin, Luffy, Dance Powder, Alubarna, Vivi Dance-Powder Dust-Storm Stop-The-Fighting Gambit (new — LOAD-BEARING), Crocodile Only Those With True Power Can Afford Ideals Doctrine (new), Luffy Survives Sandstorm Cliffhanger Meat-Word Recovery (Ch. 0198 payoff).

Alabasta — The Leaders (Ch. 197) — co-leads the stop-the-war plan with Koza; Chaka clears the way

  • Co-leads the stop-the-war plan with Koza (Ch. 197 pp. 9-13). Vivi articulates the square-blowup logic to Koza (the square is going to be blown up; if the royal army learns it, the war won’t stop and the bloodshed continues): “…chaos will reign!!” She is the conduit who relays the explosion-stakes that converts Koza. Chaka tells “Koza, Princess Vivi, do what you must!” (p. 13) — the princess and the rebel-leader are jointly enabled to end the war. The Ch. 0188 destroy the palace / the people are the kingdom arc-thesis now operationally executes with Koza as her partner.
  • Cross-link Koza (Ch. 0197 co-leader), Chaka (Ch. 0197 enabler), Crocodile (Ch. 0197 antagonist), Alubarna (Ch. 0197 palace-square).

Alabasta — Alubarna Palace (Ch. 193) — learns Alabasta hides Pluton; the lever Crocodile uses on her father

  • Witnesses the Pluton reveal (pp. 10-11): “A super weapon?! In this kingdom?!!” — Vivi learns her own kingdom is the resting place of an Ancient Weapon and the target of Crocodile’s true motive.
  • Anguished protest at the cannonball plot (p. 13): “What did they ever do to you?!! How can you do such a thing?!! How can you?!!” — re: the rebels Crocodile dismisses as inconsequential.
  • Identifies the poneglyph (p. 14): “Why would you need that record of history?! The poneglyph?!”
  • Is the lever for Cobra’s concession (p. 15): “Papa!” — Cobra breaks at the sight of her.
  • Cross-link Ancient Weapons, Void Century and Ancient Kingdom (first poneglyph mention), Cobra Refuses Then Concedes Poneglyph Location To Save Vivi (new), Baroque Works Utopia Goal Doctrine.

Alabasta — Alubarna palace lawn (Ch. 192) — reaches the fallen Cobra; confronts Crocodile; witnesses the Pluton question without understanding it

  • Reaches the fallen King Cobra (Ch. 192 pp. 5-6) — “Papa!!”; Cobra apologizes to her (“You risked your life to save the kingdom… but I ruined it!”).
  • Confronts Crocodile; refuses to believe Luffy is dead (Ch. 192 p. 6) — “Where’s Luffy?! How did you get here?! There’s no way you could have defeated him!! That’s a lie!!” Crocodile: “I told you. He’s dead.”
  • Witnesses the Pluton interrogation uncomprehending (Ch. 192 p. 7) — when Crocodile asks Cobra “Where is the Pluton?”, Vivi reacts with confusion (”…?”). The princess is outside the royal-secret compartment her father holds — the Nefertari-line-holds-Ancient-Weapon-knowledge is a king-only secret. Cross-link Ancient Weapons.
  • Cross-link Crocodile, Nefertari Cobra, Alubarna.

Alabasta — Alubarna Palace (Ch. 189)

Alabasta — Alubarna palace, Destroy the palace decree (Ch. 188)

  • LOAD-BEARING — Princess Vivi orders the Royal Guard to DESTROY THE PALACE (Ch. 188 pp. 2-3). First on-page Vivi-as-acting-monarch authority-exercise at the palace-tier — overrides 4,000 years of palace-as-civilizational-monument tradition. Vivi (in foreground against the rage-line of guards): “THE PEOPLE ARE THE KINGDOM!!” — direct echo of Cobra’s Ch. 0165 people-are-the-kingdom doctrine. Cross-link Vivi Destroy The Palace Decree Alubarna Mandate (new), People-Are-The-Kingdom Vivi Doctrine Echo Cobra (new), Cobra People-Are-The-Kingdom Doctrine (Ch. 0188 daughter-echoes payoff).
  • Chaka obeys Vivi’s destroy-the-palace order (Ch. 188 p. 3) — “AS YOU WISH.” First on-page Chaka-recognizes-Vivi-as-monarch-substitute moment. The Royal Guard’s deepest tradition is overridden because the princess says so.
  • Cross-link Chaka (Ch. 0188 Vivi-authority-recognition beat), Igaram (Ch. 0188 audience-chamber witness), Pell (Ch. 0188 background witness), Alubarna (Ch. 0188 4,000-year palace-canonization).

Alabasta — Alubarna Palace (Ch. 187) — Stalemate — reaches the North Block palace-gate; Take me to Chaka; THIS IS NOT ALABASTA, CHAKA!; DESTROY… THIS PALACE!! arc-finale-plan articulation

  • LOAD-BEARING — reaches Alubarna’s North Block at the palace-gateway (Ch. 187 pp. 4-5). After the Ch. 0180 Karoo-Supersonic-Duck-Squadron dash from the Sandora River, Vivi has crossed the kingdom and arrived at the royal-guard perimeter. Royal Guards stop her: ‘YOU THERE! HALT!! ARE YOU A REBEL?! ALL CIVILIANS MUST LEAVE THE CITY AT ONCE!!’; Vivi reveals herself (close-up, sweat-pearled, intense): ‘PRINCESS VIVI?! TAKE ME TO CHAKA! There’s something I need him to do!’ (p. 5). First on-page Vivi-arrives-at-Alubarna-palace-gateway beat + first on-page Vivi-personally-requests-Chaka beat. She has a specific operational plan, not just a return-to-the-palace mandate. Cross-link Vivi Take Me To Chaka Royal-Guard-Linkup Order (new).
  • LOAD-BEARING — articulates her arc-finale plan: DESTROY… THIS PALACE!! (Ch. 187 pp. 18-19). At the throne-hall, Vivi confronts Chaka (aghast): ‘If we do this thing, what? Will this kingdom come to an end?’ / Chaka: ‘Of course not!’ / Vivi: ‘THIS IS NOT ALABASTA, CHAKA!’ / ‘As long as they live, the kingdom will live on!!’ / ‘We have to stop the fighting—if only for a moment!’ / ‘If we can get everyone’s attention for only a few seconds…’ / ‘DESTROY… THIS PALACE!!’ First on-page Vivi-articulates-her-arc-finale-plan beat — the proposal to destroy the royal seat (instrumentally-symbolic act, not strategic-defeat) to interrupt the civil-war engagement long enough to be heard by both armies. The Ch. 0161 Alubarna alone got rain — King’s Miracle exposition + Ch. 0167 People ARE the kingdom Cobra-doctrine + Ch. 0180 Five-hour strategic clock all converge in Vivi’s plan-articulation: the palace is the wrong axis; the people are the axis. Vivi’s This is not Alabasta, Chaka line is the arc-thesis — operationally a princess-of-Alabasta declaration that the kingdom-as-physical-seat premise is replaced by the kingdom-as-people premise. The Ch. 167 Cobra-doctrine People ARE the kingdom!! is here Vivi-echoed at the operational tier. Cross-link Vivi Destroy The Palace Strategic-Distraction Plan (new — load-bearing), Vivi Stop The Fighting Only For A Moment Plan-Articulation (new — load-bearing), Cobra People-Are-The-Kingdom Doctrine (Ch. 187 Vivi-echoes-her-father payoff evidence add — operational extension into arc-finale plan), Vivi Stop The Rebellion Recommitment Mandate (Ch. 187 mission-plan-articulation evidence add).
  • Chaka commits to the plan (Ch. 187 p. 19). Chaka: ‘RAAAAH… You can leave the rest to me!’ — the Royal-Guard Acting Commander commits to physically destroying the royal seat on the princess’s order. Vivi has gained Royal-Guard executive-tier buy-in for an act that would otherwise be treasonable. First on-page Chaka-personally-commits-to-Vivi’s-plan beat — the Ch. 0167 trust-the-princess doctrine cashes operationally. Cross-link Chaka People-Are-The-Kingdom Echo Vivi-Plan-Acceptance (new — load-bearing).
  • Cross-link Chaka (Ch. 187 plan-acceptance + Zoan-pre-tell), Alubarna (Ch. 187 palace-gate-arrival + throne-hall plan-articulation), Alubarna Palace Royal-Court Interior Debut (Ch. 187 throne-hall plan-articulation evidence add).

Alabasta — Alubarna (Ch. 183) — chased by Bon Clay on Karoo; tries to dismount and fight; rescued by Sanji; sent onward with wounded Karoo

  • Chased by Bon Clay on Karoo through Alubarna (Ch. 183 pp. 3-12). Bon Clay’s chase is targeted at her specifically (“Hand over Vivi!!!” p. 6); the Ch. 0180 torn-Vivi-photo handoff is in operational deployment.
  • Tries to dismount and fight Bon Clay (Ch. 183 p. 4) — “Let me off, Karoo!! I’ll fight him!!!” — Karoo refuses, pivots, and wall-runs the cliffs instead. Vivi’s I’ll-fight-for-my-own-mission register (Ch. 0166 sand-fight with Luffy + Ch. 0170 MR. ZERO!!! face-confrontation) continues; she is the captain-of-her-own-rescue-mission.
  • First on-page Vivi-tactical-objective-articulation in Alubarna (Ch. 183 p. 8). After Karoo descends from the cliff-tops into the city: “How will I ever find Koza in this chaos?! The rebel forces haven’t reached the heart of the city yet!! We have to find Chaka!! Head for the palace!!!” — Vivi’s plan is to find Chaka at the palace and intercept Koza. The Ch. 0167 Cobra-receives-letter / Pell-and-Chaka-Royal-Guard-Lieutenants framing structurally activates: Vivi knows her court-officers are at the palace.
  • Cradles the wounded Karoo when he’s shot (Ch. 183 p. 9). “KAROO!!! YOU’VE BEEN SHOT!!!” — the Ch. 0142 cry-in-private register breaks; Vivi cries openly over the duck. Bon Clay threatens her as collateral (p. 11, “DON’T INTERFERE OR I’LL DO YOU IN, TOO!!!”).
  • Rescued by Sanji (Ch. 183 pp. 13-14). “SANJI!!” — Sanji sends her onward with the wounded Karoo (“I’m fine!! Take care of Karoo!! / Take care of Karoo!!”); Vivi nods (“GO!!”) and flees toward the palace.
  • Cross-link Karoo (Ch. 183 wall-running mount + shot in the street), Bon Clay (Ch. 183 chase-attacker), Sanji (Ch. 183 rescuer), Chaka (target of find-Chaka-head-for-the-palace plan), Koza (off-page rebel-leader to intercept), Alubarna (Ch. 183 cliffside-mesa + interior + palace-objective evidence add).

Alabasta — Never Give Up Mantra + Armband-Recognition Detection (Ch. 182)

  • Vivi tries to reach Koza at the South Gate (p. 4): “KOZA!! PLEASE, HEAR ME OUT!!” — her surrender-plea-assistance call from outside the South Gate wall (with Karoo).
  • Karoo shields Vivi from a cannon-blast (pp. 14-15): “YOU… SHIELDED ME?” / “KAROO…” — first on-page Karoo-takes-a-hit-for-Vivi loyalty beat.
  • LOAD-BEARING — Vivi articulates the Strawhat-pedagogy as her own (p. 16): “BUT I’M GOING TO STOP IT!! NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I GET KNOCKED DOWN!!! I LEARNED SOMETHING ABOARD THAT SHIP… TO NEVER GIVE UP!!!” — arc-character-growth ratchet completes from passenger → mission-leader → never-give-up-internalizer.
  • LOAD-BEARING — Vivi sees through the Bon-Clay-as-Usopp impersonation via the missing armband (pp. 18-19): “HOW DO I KNOW YOU’RE REALLY USOPP?!” + interior monologue “MR. ZERO HAD SAID THEY WERE ALL WEARING A BAND ON THEIR ARMS.” — Vivi knows Crocodile (Mr. Zero) is aware of the armband, which is why she’s checking it.
  • Cross-link Karoo (Ch. 182 cannon-shield loyalty beat), Koza (Ch. 182 surrender-plea-assist target), Bon Clay (Ch. 182 Mane Mane-as-Usopp impersonation foiled), Vivi I Learned To Never Give Up Strawhat-Pedagogy Carryover (new), Strawhats Wear Identifying Armbands Mutual-Recognition Anti-Mane-Mane Counter (new), Straw Hat Crew X-Mark Left-Arm Fellowship Sign (Ch. 0157 fellowship-test cashed at Ch. 0182 armband-detection beat — confirmed payoff), Crocodile Knows Strawhat Armband System Intel-Penetration Pre-Tell (new), Vivi Stop The Rebellion Recommitment Mandate (Ch. 182 never-give-up evolution evidence add — confirmed).

Alabasta — Supersonic Duck Quiz (Ch. 181) — slips through on Karoo under cover of the Vivi-decoy-squadron; final solo dash to Alubarna’s wall

  • The real Vivi is on foot, then mounts Karoo, sprinting toward Alubarna’s wall (p. 15). Cloaked, head-scarfed (SHF SHF): “I’VE GOT TO HURRY… THE REBEL FORCES ARE VERY NEAR. THANK YOU, EVERYONE!!” — Vivi mentally salutes her duck-decoy crew. Karoo arrives at her side (KOO?? QUACK!!): ”…KAROO!!” / “LET’S GO…” Vivi mounts Karoo for the final solo dash. First on-page Vivi-uses-the-decoy-distraction-to-reach-Alubarna beat.
  • The Vivi-decoy-squadron is operationally Vivi’s tactical doctrine — the Strawhats deploy five Vivis on five ducks to confuse the BW Officer-Agent ambush composition. Vivi’s insider-knowledge of BW methods (Ch. 180 ex-Officer-Agent doctrine) is the strategic asset that enabled the decoy-squadron design. The real Vivi slips through unrecognized while five fake Vivis split toward five gates.
  • Closing-page resolve-doctrine (p. 19). Vivi (interior monologue on Karoo): “IF I DON’T STOP THE REBELS HERE, THEN ALL OUR EFFORTS WILL HAVE BEEN FOR NOTHING!!!” — the Operation-Utopia-blocker doctrine; the diplomatic-princess at the moment of forced-conflict-resolution.
  • Cross-link Karoo (mount-companion arrival), Bon Clay (impersonation-target), Mane Mane no Mi (Ch. 181 Vivi-face-deployed-against-her evidence add), Strawhats Disguise As Vivi-In-Cape Decoy Squadron Mane-Mane Counter (new — load-bearing), Vivi Stop Stop Stop Decoy-Identification Mane-Mane-Counter-Counter Beat (new).

Alabasta — post-Yuba march on Alubarna (Ch. 179) — we-made-a-promise-to-meet-in-Alubarna arc-mission anchor; second-in-command register

  • LOAD-BEARING — we made a promise to meet in Alubarna arc-mission anchor (Ch. 179 p. 4). After Sanji’s barb at Zoro re Luffy’s defeat ignites a fight, Vivi (“As second-in-command, I gotta do something!”) breaks it up: “Luffy isn’t going to lose!!! Don’t worry, guys!! We made a promise to each other!! We’re all going to meet in Alubarna!!!” First on-page Vivi-articulates-the-promise-of-Alubarna-rendezvous beat as the captain-down faith-anchor. The Strawhats are operating on a meet-at-Alubarna covenant despite Luffy’s defeat — Vivi is the keeper of the rendezvous promise. See Vivi We Made A Promise To Meet In Alubarna Doctrine (new — LOAD-BEARING).
  • Second-in-command self-canonization (Ch. 179 p. 3) — “As second-in-command, I gotta do something!” — first on-page Vivi-self-canonizes-as-Strawhat-2IC beat. The Ch. 0163 Koza-appointed-Vivi-2IC-of-Sand-Sand-Band childhood-pact-grammar transposes to the present-day Strawhat-2IC register.
  • Sanji-Zoro tension management (Ch. 179 pp. 2-4) — first on-page Vivi-as-crew-emotional-mediator under captain-absent conditions. Sanji apologizes: “It’s all over the day you stick up for me. Sorry about that, Vivi.”
  • Identifies the giant red crab species as Pincers (Ch. 179 p. 4) — “That’s the crab’s name? Pincers? Did you just…?!” Continues the Vivi-names-Alabasta-fauna pattern (Ch. 0157 Sea Cat, Ch. 0162 Evil Herons + Eyelashes, Ch. 0179 Pincers). See Big Pincers Giant Crab Strawhat Desert Mount-Crossing (new).
  • Cross-link Sanji (apology recipient), Zoro (cross-fight target), Luffy (captain-down faith-target), Alubarna (promise-destination).

Alabasta — Rainbase market (Ch. 178) — Recognizes Crocodile’s sandstorm-signature by sight; among the disguised Strawhats; emotional cutaway from the fight-site

Alabasta — Rainbase-to-Alubarna escort (Ch. 177) — carried out of Rainbase on Pell’s falcon-back; In Alubarna!!!! I’ll be waiting for you!!! reunion-promise to Luffy; sobbing at the captain-stays-behind moment; first on-page Crocodile-tier antagonist-diagnosis of her strength is in her heart; Zoro’s no matter what happens… you have to survive compartment-break-for-her-mission

  • LOAD-BEARING — I’ll be waiting for you in Alubarna reunion-promise to Luffy (Ch. 177 pp. 4-5). Vivi (sobbing on Pell’s falcon-back, calling down to the desert below): “LUFFY!!! In Alubarna!!!! I’ll be waiting for you!!!” / Luffy (thumb-up grin, far below): “‘Kay!!!” First on-page princess-vs-captain reunion-promise at the captain-stays-to-fight-the-arc-villain tier. Pre-loads the entire forward-canon Alubarna-arc-finale: Vivi-waiting-at-the-palace, Luffy-arriving-late-after-defeating-Crocodile. Cross-link Vivi I’ll Be Waiting For You In Alubarna Reunion-Promise (new).
  • Extracted on Pell’s falcon-back (Ch. 177 pp. 2, 5). Vivi is airlifted out of Rainbase by Pell in falcon-form, carrying her across the desert toward Alubarna. First on-page Pell-as-aerial-transport beat. The Ch. 0169 falcon-rescue-of-Vivi extends into Ch. 0177 falcon-air-transport-of-the-mission-objective.
  • Sobs at the captain-stays-behind moment (Ch. 177 pp. 3-5) — “ZOLO!! YOU’RE ABANDONING LUFFY?!” (p. 3, tears welling). Vivi reads the bifurcation as abandonment; Zoro and Sanji correct her — Luffy is the one holding Crocodile, not the one being abandoned. First on-page Vivi-misreads-Strawhat-tactical-bifurcation beat. The princess-of-Alabasta-as-conscience register continues — Vivi’s instinct is no Strawhat gets left behind, even when the Strawhat is volunteering to be the lone holdout.
  • First on-page direct subject of an antagonist-tier psychological-diagnosis (Ch. 177 pp. 7-8). Crocodile (to Luffy, about Vivi): “Vivi’s strength… isn’t in her muscles, it’s in her heart. She’s always trying to help others… She doesn’t want a single person to get killed in this rebellion.” First on-page Crocodile-articulated diagnosis of Vivi as a fixed psychological-archetype. The diagnosis is weaponized — Crocodile reads Vivi accurately AND uses the reading to justify killing Luffy (kill Luffy → Vivi loses her counter-pressure → Vivi kills herself trying to stop you). Cross-link Crocodile Vivi’s Strength In Her Heart Diagnosis (new).
  • Zoro’s no matter what happens… you have to survive charge (Ch. 177 pp. 3-4) — Zoro (grim, to a teary Vivi): “Listen, Vivi… no matter what happens… which means you have to survive!!! You’re the only hope of preventing that… to the rest of us!!” / “This is something you started.” / “You’re not fighting all alone anymore.” / “But… to take on a shadowy group whose true nature you didn’t know… Several years ago, you left Alabasta…” First on-page Zoro-to-Vivi charge — the swordsman articulates her survival-as-load-bearing-to-the-mission. Vivi-as-princess-of-Alabasta is now framed by Zoro as the single point of failure for the no-civil-war-finishing-stroke objective.
  • Co-articulator of the In Alubarna destination (Ch. 177 pp. 4-5). The Strawhat tactical-bifurcation routes Vivi to Alubarna with the escort party; the Alubarna destination is now operationally locked. First on-page Vivi-named-destination-Alubarna in the bifurcation-context. The Ch. 0161 Erumalu-exposition + Ch. 0167 strategic-map Royal Army → Rainbase, Vivi-to-Alubarna lock at the personal-mission tier.
  • Cross-link Luffy (captain-vs-mission-objective bifurcation partner), Pell (aerial transport), Zoro (escort-leader + survival-charge), Sanji (escort), Tony Tony Chopper (escort), Karoo (escort), Alubarna (destination), Rainbase (departure-point).

Alabasta — Rain Dinners escape (Ch. 176) — Bananagator-warning-voice; Eyelashes’ hometown-friend-network revealed; Vivi-impersonation cliffhanger target

  • Warns of the Bananagator gauntlet (Ch. 176 p. 6) — “BUT IT’S CRAWLING WITH BANANAGATORS!!!”. Princess-as-local-intel-officer register; the gators are her arc-specific tactical knowledge.
  • Vivi-mute-on-Smoker-rescue-debate (Ch. 176 p. 10) — articulates only the Devil-Fruit-drowning risk (“He’ll sink like an anchor!!”) without taking a save-or-leave side. Princess-protocol-neutrality at the Marine-mercy-question.
  • Reveals Eyelashes’ hometown-friend-network (Ch. 176 p. 17) — “He’s Eyelashes’ friend!! / This is Eyelashes’ hometown! He has lots of friends around here!!”. First on-page articulation of Vivi’s animal-companion-Rolodex-of-Alabasta-endemic-mounts as a load-bearing logistic-asset for the rebellion-side — pays off as a recurring Vivi-summons-a-mount mechanic through the rest of the arc.
  • Vivi-as-Bon-Clay-impersonation-target (Ch. 176 p. 18). Bon Clay (Mr. 2) wears Vivi’s face for the desert-outskirts ambush. The princess is now an operational deception-asset for Baroque Works — the Mane-Mane no Mi turns Vivi-the-mission-objective into Vivi-the-trap-bait. Pre-loads the Ch. ~178+ X-mark-on-arm criterion for distinguishing the real Vivi.
  • Cross-link Eyelashes (hometown-network operator), Bon Clay (face-stolen), Mr. 3 (cage-escape co-rescued), Rain Dinners Casino (escape), Alubarna (sprint destination).

Alabasta — Rain Dinners (Mr. Prince operation) (Ch. 175) — escapes the cage with Sanji; runs Rainbase rescue-route; Vivi’s coming back with help!! She promised!!; collapses

  • Rescue-route partner with Sanji (Ch. 175 p. 3). Released from the cage in Ch. 0173-0174 ; now in the cage-rescue position. Wears striped headcloth + chevron dress; holds Sanji’s hand running through Rainbase back streets. “…just got shot.” / “Sanji, didn’t you…” — picks up the Ch. 0168 shot/wound thread.
  • Vivi’s coming back with help!! She promised!! (Ch. 175 p. 11). Yelled by Vivi off-frame as she leaves the cage; “OH NO!!! THIS ISN’T GOOD!!! HANG ON, LUFFY!!! VIVI’S COMING BACK WITH HELP!!! SHE PROMISED!!!” — promises-the-cage-Strawhats-rescue articulation. “UNH… I FEEL WEAK.” — fainting register from emotional + physical strain. Cross-link Vivi Princess Save The Kingdom Strawhat-Mandate (Ch. 0122 mandate extends — Vivi is now the kingdom-savior who in turn rescues her saviors).
  • Sealed in the cage chamber with the Strawhats at chapter-end (Ch. 175 p. 19) — has returned to the chamber with Sanji; the cage-platform sliding door seals shut behind them. Now trapped on the rescue-side with rising water.
  • Cross-link Sanji (rescue-partner), Tony Tony Chopper (decoy-partner), Luffy (in-cage promise-recipient).

Alabasta — Rain Dinners (Ch. 174) — cage-escape into Bananagator aquarium; extraction-agent inversion; Mr. Prince + princess pairing

  • First on-page Vivi-as-extraction-agent inversion (Ch. 174 pp. 8, 15). Vivi was the only one outside the cage when Crocodile attacked; ducks the sand-strike and escapes through a window (“I’m going to find help!!”) — the princess-needs-rescue dynamic flips to princess-runs-for-help-for-the-strawhats. Yells from the window to the cage-mates: “You guys!!! Is Vivi all right?!” (p. 15).
  • Survives the Bananagator aquarium plunge (Ch. 174 pp. 9-14). Sand-blasted through the cage-area glass (KA-BLOO SH!!, p. 9) into the Bananagator aquarium chamber; Luffy yells “AAAH!!! VIVI!!”; swims past a Bananagator-snap (CHOMP!!!, p. 14) and escapes out the side. “She did it!! She got away!” — first on-page Vivi-aquatic-survival beat against a Crocodile-tier kept-pet.
  • Reaches Sanji on the Rain Dinners rooftop (Ch. 174 p. 19). KLAK!! KLAK!! running across the roof, “SANJI!!!”. Mr. Prince + princess pairing — Sanji’s full-page cliffhanger reply: “So, show me the way… princess.”. The fairy-tale overlay (princess Vivi needs a prince; Sanji as deception-Prince Charming) operationalizes as Vivi’s rescue-arc-frame for the rest of the Rain Dinners set-piece. See Sanji Mr Prince Alias Operationalized Snail-o-phone Reveal (cross-link).
  • Cross-link Sanji (chapter-closing pairing — princess + Mr. Prince), Crocodile (sand-attack target), Bananagator (aquarium predator), Tony Tony Chopper (mentioned — “Chopper’s out there too” p. 8), Rain Dinners Casino (cage-area + aquarium + rooftop).

Alabasta — Rain Dinners trolley-problem + Bananagator combat (Ch. 173)

Alabasta — Rebellion (Ch. 172) — endures Crocodile’s full coup-confession; recommits to the Alubarna objective; trap-door key-drop cliffhanger

  • Receives Crocodile’s full coup-confession monologue (pp. 15-17). Crocodile’s “the master plan that you were once a part of is finally coming to fruition” line (p. 15) re-frames her former-Miss-Wednesday position as complicit-during-the-preparation-phase. The villain-monologue is delivered at her face from the dining-table chair.
  • Vivi defies Crocodile’s who do you value more — your father or your people moral trap (p. 18). “Haven’t you done enough to my father?!” + internal monologue “I just have to get to Alubarna!! There’s still time!!! I’m going to stop it!!! …I might still be able to prevent the slaughter!!!” First on-page Vivi-recommits-to-Alubarna-after-Crocodile-confession beat. The mission-objective is reframed: not prevent the war (already started) but prevent the slaughter (the convergence-of-armies death-toll).
  • Key-drop cliffhanger (p. 19). Robin holds the cage-key out over the cage — ”…Ms. Wednesday. The choice is yours…” — and drops it through the trapdoor-shaft. Vivi is the moral-target of Robin’s mind-game.
  • Cross-link Vivi I Just Have To Get To Alubarna Recommitment Mandate (new), Robin Wax-Key Cage-Choice Mind-Game Setup (new), Crocodile Full Coup Confession Monologue Pre-Battle (new — payoff for Vivi’s Ch. 161 exposition).

Alabasta — Rain Dinners (Ch. 170) — Beginning — first on-page face-to-face Vivi-Crocodile confrontation; MR. ZERO!!! yelled to the boss’s face; captured by sand-tendril at the dinner table; mummification threat at her throat; sits beside Crocodile as Operation Utopia begins; Igaram alive-confirmed reunion

  • LOAD-BEARING — first on-page direct in-person Vivi-to-Crocodile face-confrontation (Ch. 170 pp. 14-19). Enters the Rain Dinners dining hall, reads the situation in one beat (Igaram alive in the cage below! Strawhats caged! Boss visible at the dinner table!), and yells “MR. ZERO!!!” to his face (p. 15) after “I’d go to the ends of the earth to get you!!! That’s how badly I want you dead…” First on-page direct in-person Vivi-to-Crocodile name-confrontation at the Mr. Zero codename-tier. Vivi has narrated the Mr. Zero / Sir Crocodile / Crocodile identity-set across the saga (Ch. 0111 to Strawhats / Ch. 0113 blurt-reveal / Ch. 0118 letter-reveal to Cobra); here she finally yells the boss-codename to his face. The princess-conqueror axis is now physical. Cross-link Vivi Mr Zero Yell-Reveal To Crocodile Face (new — load-bearing).
  • Welcomed by Crocodile by both her names (Ch. 170 p. 15) — “Why, Princess Vivi of Alabasta! Welcome! Or should I call you Ms. Wednesday?” — Crocodile uses both her princess-name AND her defector-codename in the same breath as a control-over-her-identity register. The Ch. 0120 Mr. 5 mocks Ms. Wednesday post-princess-reveal address-asymmetry and the Ch. 0169 senior-pursuer one of our former agents fusion are here re-keyed at the boss-tier.
  • Confronts Miss All Sunday at the Rainbase city gates (Ch. 170 pp. 2-4). With Pell. Declares “It’s out of the question. Are you insane?” in response to Robin’s boss-invitation. Launches Peacock Slasher!! (SHWNN!!, p. 4) — re-uses the Ch. 0109 named-attack across opponent-classes (cf. Ch. 0120 Officer-Agent-pair encounter; now at the VP tier). The attack is neutralized by Crocodile’s Suna-Suna String Slasher sand-counter (Crocodile’s table-side intervention, p. 16) — but earlier Vivi and Pell are Tres Fleurs-buried (p. 5).
  • Reaction to Pell’s defeat (Ch. 170 p. 7). Sand-buried but conscious (KOFF!! / You’re all right!); Pell yells “Princess Vivi! You’re all right!” and dives in to defend her. The Vivi-Pell coordination implies Pell is part of Vivi’s Royal-Guard escort to Rainbase (per Ch. 0167 Cobra-dispatch + Ch. 0169 Royal-Guard rescue at the Rainbase streets).
  • LOAD-BEARING — Igaram-survival reveal in-story canonized (Ch. 170 pp. 11-14). Vivi sees Igaram alive in the underground cage below the dining floor — discovers the Ch. 0114 decoy-explosion was a survival cover-story (per Ch. 0125 cover-art Igarappoi-disguise + Ch. 0142 childhood-flashback already-established backstory + Ch. 0167 royal-court letter-as-proof). First on-page Vivi-Igaram in-frame reunion since Whisky Peak. The grief-register that has anchored Vivi across the Little-Garden-through-Drum-through-Alabasta-interior saga is now in dissolution. Cross-link Igaram Alive At Rain Dinners Survival Reframe (new — load-bearing), Igaram Decoy Sacrifice Composition (Ch. 0170 payoff evidence add), Igaram Cover Story Whisky Peak Survival (Ch. 0170 in-story-canonized evidence add).
  • Reads the cage-trap composition instantly (Ch. 170 p. 14) — yells “S-stop it!!! You’ll make him mad!! That rat! Making fools of us!!” in response to Sanji’s CROCO-DILE yell. Vivi knows from inside experience that escalating Crocodile is the wrong play. The Ch. 0118 Vivi-as-Baroque-Works-defector-tactical-intel-source register remains active.
  • LOAD-BEARING — captured by sand-chain-tendril at the dinner table (Ch. 170 pp. 17-18). KA-SHWAK!! — Crocodile’s sand-chain-tendril yanks Vivi by the throat across the dining table; she falls onto his chair (FWUMP…!!). Threatened with mummification: “How would you like to become a mummy?” (p. 18). First on-page Suna-Suna mummification-threat at her throat — the Ch. 0166 Mr. 3 moisture-drain technique is now keyed at the princess. The Ch. 0169 guest of honor pre-load (Crocodile: “I’ve sent my partner to fetch her”) cashes into the captive-at-the-table set-piece. Cross-link Crocodile Mummification Sand-Desiccation Kill-Mode (new — load-bearing), Suna Suna no Mi (new — mummification-threat target).
  • Sits beside Crocodile as Operation Utopia begins (Ch. 170 p. 19) — “Don’t glare at me like that. Sit down.” / Vivi: “Unh…” — Vivi-as-mission-objective is now physically positioned at the boss’s side as Operation Utopia kicks off at 7 o’clock (per the chapter-tail “It’s 7 o’clock. A long day is beginning. Baroque Works’ ‘Operation Utopia’ begins.” caption). The princess-of-the-people register is in its lowest tactical position of the saga — the kingdom-conqueror has the princess pinned at his dining table at the operation-kickoff moment proper. The Ch. 0130 I-have-to-stop-the-civil-war arc-mandate, the Ch. 0166 I will never forgive that man personal-vendetta, the Ch. 0169 I CAN’T DIE HERE!! I HAVE TO GET TO RAIN DINNERS!!! — all collapse to Vivi-seated-beside-Crocodile-when-the-coup-launches. Cross-link Operation Utopia Named On Page Baroque Works Plan (Ch. 0170 kickoff-caption evidence add).
  • Cross-link Crocodile (face-on confrontation + sand-tendril capture target), Nico Robin (Tres Fleurs target + tribute-tease-about-Igaram subject), Pell (Royal-Guard escort to Rainbase + defeated-by-Robin-defending-her), Igaram (alive-confirmed reunion at Rain Dinners), Suna Suna no Mi (mummification-threat target), Rain Dinners Casino (Ch. 0170 capture-set-piece evidence add).

Alabasta — Rainbase (Ch. 169) — separated from the Strawhats; chased through Rainbase by a senior unnamed BW officer who calls her one of our former agents; rescued by Pell the Falcon — Alabasta’s Greatest Warrior — and reunited with the Royal Guard

  • Separated from the Strawhats on the Rainbase approach (Ch. 169 p. 3 — Sanji’s “Where IS Vivi, anyways?!” / p. 13 — Crocodile’s “I’ve sent my partner to fetch her”). Vivi is being hunted separately by a senior Baroque-Works officer dispatched to retrieve her as Crocodile’s guest of honor.
  • Addressed as one of our former agents face-on by a senior BW officer (Ch. 169 p. 14) — scarred-fanged pursuer: “YOU PUT UP A GOOD FIGHT, PRINCESS… AS I’D EXPECT FROM ONE OF OUR FORMER AGENTS.” / “NOW GIVE IT UP!! HA HA HA!!” — first on-page acknowledgement by a higher-tier BW officer that Vivi’s Ms. Wednesday role made her a legitimate (now treasonous) BW agent. The Ch. 0120 Mr. 5 mocks Ms. Wednesday post-princess-reveal address-asymmetry continues at the senior-officer tier — but with an upgrade: the pursuer addresses her as princess + former agent simultaneously, fusing the two registers. Cross-link Vivi You Put Up A Good Fight Princess Crocodile-Hostage-Doctrine (new — load-bearing), Mr 5 Mocks Ms Wednesday Post-Princess-Reveal (Ch. 0169 senior-officer-tier address-evidence add), Senior Scarred Baroque Officer Pursues Vivi Unnamed (new).
  • Pursuit panic-monologue (Ch. 169 p. 14) — “I CAN’T DIE HERE!! I HAVE TO GET TO RAIN DINNERS!!!” — Vivi is on-route to Rain Dinners (where the Strawhats are caged) to deliver the rendezvous; the kingdom-stakes register continues (Ch. 0130 a million of my people will die / Ch. 0142 child of 10 puts the welfare of her country above her own feelings → Ch. 0169 I can’t die here, I have to get to Rain Dinners). The Vivi-as-kingdom-existence-axis doctrine extends to Vivi-as-the-meeting-point-Strawhats-need-her-to-survive register.
  • Rescued by Pell the Falcon (Ch. 169 pp. 15-17). A giant falcon (revealed as Pell, Lieutenant of the Alabasta Royal Guard’s air-corps) dives in, scoops Vivi from the pursuer’s hands, and lands her on a balcony before reverting to human form. Vivi recognizes him immediately: “PELL!!” — first on-page reunion with an Alabasta Royal Guard officer since the Whisky-Peak escape (Igaram still presumed alive but separated from her). Pell: “IT’S GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN, PRINCESS VIVI.” / “PLEASE WAIT HERE A MOMENT.” The princess-meets-Royal-Guard reunion register is canonized.
  • Witnesses Pell’s debut as a Devil-Fruit user — Tori Tori no Mi Model Falcon (Ch. 169 p. 17). Vivi is on-the-balcony spectator to Pell’s flight-then-revert sequence; she sees him deploy his fruit. Vivi’s princess-of-the-people register continues to extend her knowledge-of-her-own-court-officers’ powers (cf. Ch. 0125 Vivi-knows-the-wax-fruit-weakness).
  • Goes after the cage-group on foot (Ch. 169 p. 18) — Vivi (running, balcony-stairs): “I’M SAVED!! BUT I’VE GOT TO HURRY TO WHERE THE OTHERS ARE!!” / TMP… — closes the chapter still en-route to Rain Dinners. The kingdom-stakes mission-objective remains unbroken: rendezvous → save the kingdom.
  • Cross-link Pell (Royal-Guard officer + Devil-Fruit user — Ch. 0169 falcon-form debut), Crocodile (face-on visual + guest of honor line), Nico Robin (the partner dispatched to capture her), Rain Dinners Casino (the rendezvous-target), Rainbase (Ch. 0169 pursuit-and-rescue setting), Tori Tori no Mi, Model Falcon (new — witnessed by Vivi), Vivi You Put Up A Good Fight Princess Crocodile-Hostage-Doctrine (new — load-bearing), Pell The Kingdom’s Strongest Warrior Chapter-Title (new).

Alabasta — Rainbase (Ch. 168) — arrives in Rainbase; tactical-briefs the crew on the Officer Agents; identifies Rain Dinners; final-splash on the bridge-approach

  • Leads the crew into Rainbase across the dunes (pp. 2-3) — “That’s Rainbase!! Finally!” The arc-objective milestone lands: the kingdom’s casino-city is in view. Pre-load to the operational endgame.
  • Tactical-briefs the crew on the threat-vector (pp. 4-5) — “They know what we look like. We’d better be careful. We know that Mr. 2 and Mr. 3 are here… so we can assume they know we’re in Alabasta. They specialize in assassination. If they find out we’re here, who knows what they’ll do?! There could be Baroque Works agents anywhere in Rainbase.” First on-page Vivi-arc-tactician briefing at Rainbase; canonizes the Mr. 2 + Mr. 3 + agents-anywhere threat-vector and the Officer-Agent-class = assassination-specialists doctrine. The crew agrees with Luffy’s overrule (“We don’t have time to make plans.” / “I agree with Luffy.”).
  • Bonks Luffy mid-rage (p. 5) — WHAK!! “Were you even listening?!” Vivi’s tactical-conscience role (Ch. 132 “failure as a captain” register) continues.
  • Identifies Rain Dinners by Crocodile’s crocodile-statue heraldry (p. 10) — “There! See the building with the crocodile on it? That’s Rain Dinners, Crocodile’s casino!” Vivi’s local-intel-source role (cf. Ch. 134 “meeting of kings” register) extends to Rainbase landmarks. The crocodile-statue rooftop is owner-heraldry; Vivi reads the city’s signage as an insider.
  • Coordinates the Straw Hat split-up converging on Rain Dinners (pp. 11, 17) — “Look!! It’s the entrance to Rain Dinners!! It’s in the middle of a lake!!” Vivi’s operational command-register continues — she is the one calling out the lake-encirclement as a feature, not as a problem.
  • In the closing-splash running into the casino (p. 19) — Vivi-in-cloak silhouette walking into the casino arched-hall; first on-page Vivi-physically-inside-Crocodile’s-HQ beat. Pre-loads the casino confrontation.
  • Cross-link Rainbase (Ch. 168 Strawhat-arrival event add), Rainbase City Of Dreams On-Page Debut (new), Rain Dinners Casino Crocodiles Lair Debut (new), Operation Utopia Named On Page Baroque Works Plan (new).

Alabasta — Battlefront (Ch. 167) — strategic-map exposition; Luffy food-deal; Vivi’s letter delivers royal-court compartment-break

  • Strategic-map exposition (p. 2). Vivi unfolds a hand-drawn map of Alabasta and names: Rainbase (City of Dreams) / Yuba (current location) / Spiders Cafe / Erumalu (Ruined City) / Nanohana (port city) / Katorea (Rebel Base Camp) / Alubarna (capital city); plots the route to Rainbase. First on-page integrated geography of the Alabasta saga. Vivi is the crew’s on-page geographer.
  • Luffy food-deal reward-bargain (p. 5). Vivi pulls Luffy aside: “I owe you a great deal…” — Luffy: “Then feed me.” / “After I kick that Crocodile’s butt, feed me till I explode, okay?” / Vivi (eyes closed, smiling): “You have my word!” / “It’s a deal.” The Ch. 0166 we’re your friends commitment is re-keyed at the captain-tier as an explicit food-contract. Pre-loads the forward-canon kingdom-banquet-as-arc-end reward.
  • Vivi’s letter to Cobra compartment-breaks the truth at the royal-court tier (pp. 14-15). Karoo carries Vivi’s hand-written letter to Alubarna Palace. Cobra reads it: “It’s Vivi’s handwriting, all right.” / “Crocodile’s a government official… I never suspected that he was behind it all!!” — the Ch. 0113 Strawhat-tier reveal lands at the kingdom-tier by Vivi’s letter. Vivi as counter-agent-source completes her princess-intelligence mission at the kingdom-tier. The court honors her: “Well done, Karoo. Vivi says you fought valiantly too.” (p. 15).
  • Vivi as Egyptian-deity-named figure surrounded by Egyptian-deity-named officers — the chapter introduces Pell (falcon = Horus) and Chaka (jackal = Anubis) as Royal-Guard Lieutenants serving the Nefertari (Egyptian-queen) royal-family. The Egyptian-deity-coded officer roster reinforces the Alabasta-as-Egypt encoding at the royal-court tier.
  • Cross-link Nefertari Cobra (Vivi’s father at the royal-court tier), Karoo (her courier), Pell (densified), Chaka (densified), Koza (off-page rebel-leader — childhood-friend, forward-canon meeting pending), Luffy Owes Vivi A Meal Crocodile Victory Reward-Promise (new).

Alabasta arc (Ch. 166) — Luffy vs. Vivi sand-fight; princess-cracks-in-public beat; Strawhats commit to fight Crocodile alongside her

  • Argument with Luffy over Katorea / the rebel-meeting plan (Ch. 166 pp. 14-16) — Vivi insists the crew must reach Katorea immediately to soften the rebel forces with her presence; Luffy refuses and demands they fight Crocodile directly. Vivi’s prevent-bloodshed / save-everyone doctrine collides with Luffy’s people-die realism. First on-page moral confrontation between captain and ally-princess in the saga.
  • LOAD-BEARING — slaps Luffy (Ch. 166 p. 17) — “WHAM!! BWAH!!! Say that again, and you’ll be sorry! I’m trying to prevent bloodshed!!! Shut up! Don’t say things like that!!!” First on-page Strawhat-ally-strikes-the-captain combat-tier act. Vivi’s Ch. 0142 composed-in-public / cry-in-private register breaks here into a public-rage / public-tears register — the friendship-environment dissolves the diplomatic-composure protocol.
  • Princess-tears-during-friend-fight beat (Ch. 166 p. 18) — after Luffy retaliates with repeated head-knocks, Vivi breaks: “I don’t care what it costs me!!! I… will never forgive that man!!! I have to!!!” / “Yuba will never surrender to the sands!!!” / “PLUP!!” (collapses with fist to mouth, tears visible). First on-page Vivi-cries-in-front-of-the-Strawhats beat — the Ch. 142 cry-in-private register inverts here into cry-with-friends. Chopper’s “Even princesses cry.” (p. 18) is the emotional capstone. Cross-link Luffy Vivi Sand Fight Tears Of A Princess Beat (new — load-bearing).
  • Names Yuba as a rebel-aligned settlement that will never surrender to the sands (Ch. 166 p. 18) — in tears, Vivi shouts the line. First on-page Vivi-utterance of Yuba in this register. Pre-loads forward-canon Yuba-arc (Vivi’s father-figure Toto, the desert-stronghold).
  • Childhood friendship with Koza revealed (by Crocodile, off-screen for Vivi) (Ch. 166 p. 11) — Crocodile names Princess Nefertari Vivi were childhood friends with the rebel leader Koza. Vivi does not hear this on-page; it is the antagonist’s intel. The forward-canon Vivi-Koza shared-childhood arc-backstory is now binding on-page. Cross-link Koza Vivi Childhood Friends Reveal (new — load-bearing).
  • Accepts the Strawhats’ friendship commitment (Ch. 166 pp. 18-19) — Luffy: “You can’t do it all by yourself!!! We’re your friends, aren’t we!!!? Then let us help you!!!” Vivi (collapsed, tearful, PLUP!!) does not verbally accept but her tears are the acceptance. The Strawhats reaffirm their commitment to fight Crocodile alongside her, not just escort her — the arc-objective-shift from escort-mission to Strawhats-vs-Warlord-mission. Cross-link Vivi Princess Save The Kingdom Strawhat-Mandate (Ch. 0166 evidence add — now extended to fight her war for her).
  • Cross-link Luffy (fight-partner / commitment-giver), Tony Tony Chopper (Even princesses cry emotional-empathy capstone), Koza (childhood friend revealed by Crocodile), Yuba (named in tears).

Alabasta — Yuba departure (Ch. 165) — I’m going to stop the rebellion mandate + first Vivi-tactical-plan-rejected-by-Luffy beat

  • Vivi recommits to stopping the rebellion as her explicit personal mission (Ch. 165 p. 3): ‘I’m going to stop the rebellion!’ — first on-page Vivi-rebellion-stoppage-as-explicit-personal-mission articulation. The arc-mission ratchets from get-home-to-Alabasta (Ch. 0130) to stop-the-rebellion-itself. See Vivi Stop The Rebellion Recommitment Mandate (new).
  • First on-page named Alabasta-villager encounter — Toh-Toh of Yuba (Ch. 165 pp. 2-3). Vivi bids farewell to the old caretaker of Yuba oasis. ‘I will, Toh-Toh.’ / ‘Good old Toh-Toh…’ — affectionate childhood-mentor-figure register installed.
  • Pajama-sleepover scene at Toh-Toh’s inn (Ch. 165 pp. 1, 4) — Vivi in nightgown participates in the Strawhat-pillow-fight tableau. Her princess-of-Alabasta register softens into the crewmate-in-pajamas register; the Vol. 18 frontispiece composes her as one of the seven Strawhats around Crocodile.
  • First on-page Vivi-tactical-plan rejected by Luffy (Ch. 165 p. 18). After articulating the I’m going to stop the rebellion mandate at p. 3, the chapter ends with Luffy’s ‘I quit.’ — Luffy refuses the Vivi-articulated mission-route (the through-Yuba-to-the-rebels route). The Ch. 0132 failure as a captain rebuke from Vivi inverts here into Luffy’s own captaincy-assertion against Vivi’s plan. See Luffy I Quit Yuba Refusal Captain-Mandate Inversion (new — load-bearing).
  • Vivi’s anxious reaction at chapter-end (Ch. 165 p. 18): ‘What’s wrong, Luffy?’ — open-mouth concern, the first on-page Vivi-reaction-to-a-Luffy-refusal beat.
  • Cross-link Toh-Toh (Ch. 165 farewell densification), Luffy (Ch. 165 I quit refusal beat), The Flavor of Sand (new — Vol. 18 frontispiece).

Alabasta — pre-mission childhood flashback (Ch. 164) — origin of the princess-of-the-people doctrine; childhood friendship with Koza

  • First on-page childhood-Alabasta appearance (~age 12, watermelon-pattern dress, ponytail-blonde). Plays with the Sand-Sand Band of village kids led by Koza, who appoint themselves her bodyguards. The pre-Mariejois (Ch. 0142) timeline is now anchored — Vivi as a slightly-older child in Alabasta, before her undercover Baroque-Works infiltration.
  • Kidnapped by adult swordsmen (pp. 2-9) — taken by a ransom-gang of swordsmen at the Nanohana-adjacent oasis ruins; Koza and the Sand-Sand Band chase the kidnappers down and Koza fights the lead kidnapper sword-in-hand to free her. “Chief!!!” (Vivi, panicked) — Vivi uses Chief (not Koza) as the address-grammar.
  • Rescued by King Cobra + Pell + Chaka (pp. 10-11) — Cobra arrives with his Royal Guard captains and routs the kidnappers. Vivi: ”…Father, Igaram!!” / “Pell, Chaka… what are you doing here?” — she addresses the guards by name, confirming they are familiar palace-staff. First on-page Pell + Chaka appearance; cross-link Pell (new), Chaka (new).
  • LOAD-BEARING — don’t-die-for-me doctrine install (p. 12). Crying on Igaram’s hat: “I was scared because you told the others to protect me with their lives!!” / “I don’t want you guys to die for me…” Origin of Vivi’s princess-of-the-people doctrine — the throughline that drives her undercover Baroque-Works infiltration, her Ch. 130 million-people-will-die speech, her Whisky-Peak escape mission, and her forward-canon Stop the rebellion / save Koza arc. The princess-of-the-people axiom — a king is for the people, not the people for the king — is rooted here. See Vivi Cry-Don’t-Die-For-Me Princess Doctrine (new — LOAD-BEARING).
  • Yuba founding-witness (pp. 15-17). Hears Koza explain that Cobra has commissioned Toh-Toh to build a new desert city — Yuba — at the crossroads of Alabasta’s western desert. Sees Toh-Toh off at the city gates with the Sand-Sand Band; childhood-Vivi waves goodbye to Toh-Toh: “You must become a great princess!!!” / “I will!!” See Yuba Crossroads-of-the-Western-Desert City-Founding (new), Toh-Toh Builds Yuba At Cobras Request City-Founding Compact (new).
  • Present-tense framing voice (pp. 17-19). The chapter’s bridge into the present is anchored on a Vivi-Koza dialogue: Koza tells Vivi he tried to stop the rebellion but failed — “PLEASE, PRINCESS VIVI… STOP THOSE FOOLS!!!” — and the chapter closes on the Katorea Oasis rebel-camp reveal of adult Koza as LEADER OF THE REBELS (p. 19). Vivi’s mission is now revealed to include stop my childhood best friend from leading my father’s army-defectors against my father. See Koza Rebel Leader Reveal Cliffhanger (new — LOAD-BEARING).
  • Three-year drought first uttered on-page (p. 17, present-tense voice-over over a withered-desert-village wide-shot): “So it hasn’t rained for three years. What of it!!?” — the kingdom-wide drought trigger-event of the civil war is now operationally on-page. See Alabasta Three-Year Drought Doctrine (Ch. 164 first-utterance evidence add).
  • Cross-link Koza (childhood friend / present-day rebel leader), Toh-Toh (Yuba builder, friend’s father), Pell + Chaka (Royal Guard captains addressed by name — first on-page), Vivi Cry-Don’t-Die-For-Me Princess Doctrine (new — load-bearing), Koza Rebel Leader Reveal Cliffhanger (new — load-bearing), Vivi Childhood Flashback Friendship Origin Beat (new), Pell And Chaka Royal Guard Captains Debut (new).

Alabasta (Ch. 163) — Yuba dead-end; childhood pedagogy flashback; Sand-Sand Band cliffhanger

  • Arrives at sandstorm-buried Yuba (pp. 2-4) — caption YUBA / OASIS / ALABASTA. Vivi’s silhouette-shot reaction (‘No…’) at the dried oasis re-keys her Princess-with-stakes register: the rebel-rendezvous plan she’s carried since Ch. 113 has just collapsed.
  • LOAD-BEARING — recognized by Toh-Toh as Princess Vivi (p. 9) — ‘Are you Princess Vivi!?’ Sanji tries to suppress the recognition (‘Vivi’s not a princess or anything!!’) but Toh-Toh already knows her from childhood. Vivi (GASP!!! NO!!!) weeps in recognition. First on-page citizen-loyalist who recognizes Vivi by sight in the Alabasta interior — the princess-identity is operationally exposed in rebel-territory.
  • Receives Toh-Toh’s The King would never betray his people holdout doctrine (pp. 9-10) — ‘Princess, I still believe in the King!!!’ / ‘PLEASE!!! You must stop them!!!’ / ‘This rebellion is idiocy!!!’ — Vivi hears the first on-page citizen-loyalist voice the anti-rebellion-pro-Cobra position. The civil war is not unanimous; loyalty to her father survives in the dying oases. See Toh-Toh Yuba Holdout Doctrine The King Would Never Betray His People (new — LOAD-BEARING).
  • LOAD-BEARING — childhood-pedagogy flashback (Alubarna 11 years ago, pp. 10-18) — Vivi (in the same pink polka-dot dress as the Ch. 142 World Council flashback) walks into the throne-room and meets Koza for the first time. ‘Who are you, pipsqueak!?’ / ‘You crybaby!!’ (p. 13). They brawl in the throne-hall (KING CHOP!!, p. 13, DOOM!!, p. 14) — Vivi has a black eye, Koza has a bloody nose. Igaram explodes in protective rage; Cobra defuses (‘It was only a fight between children!!’). On the city outskirts (pp. 15-17) Vivi wins a fight-to-the-death against Koza in a circle of ~20 hooded Sand-Sand Band children; Koza appoints her ‘SECOND IN COMMAND OF THE SAND-SAND BAND!!!’ (p. 17). First on-page Vivi-Koza pair-grammar install — the Koza-as-rebel-chief / Vivi-as-aristocratic-counterpart pair that will define the civil-war’s resolution is anchored as a childhood pact. See Koza Sand-Sand Band Founder Vivi Childhood Friend Reveal (new — LOAD-BEARING), Koza Vivi Second In Command Sand-Sand Band Childhood Pact (new).
  • Vivi as the deliberate-pedagogy target of Cobra’s governance-with-the-people training (p. 17) — Cobra watches Vivi-co-leading-the-Sand-Sand-Band and tells Igaram: ‘This will be the most important thing… when she one day leads Alabasta!!’first on-page reveal that Vivi’s princess-character is deliberate king-pedagogy, not innate. The Ch. 142 composed-in-public / cry-in-private register is now contextualized: Vivi was trained to read citizen-anger as legitimate by her father’s praise of Koza. See Vivi Childhood Witness To Royal-Diplomacy Pedagogy (new — LOAD-BEARING).
  • Vivi-domestic register — Alubarna home-visit beat (p. 18) — Vivi visits the Toh-Tohs at their Alubarna home with rice-balls; Cobra and Igaram tail her in disguise. ‘A princess coming and going in the homes of peasants… What a strange kingdom…’ (Toh-Toh). First on-page Vivi-among-her-father’s-subjects-as-a-friend beat — the Alabasta-as-king-among-people social register is on-page for the first time.
  • Sand-Sand Band attack cliffhanger (pp. 19-20) — robed armed men appear behind Vivi (‘Want some company?’ / ‘Hey, girlie.’). Vivi (recognition): ‘You guys!!’ Toh-Toh: ‘Sand-Sand Band, attack!!!’ / ‘They’re after you!! Run, Vivi!!!’ The same gang Vivi co-led as a child are now armed adults pursuing her. Pre-loads the arc’s central emotional axis. See Sand-Sand Band Attack Cliffhanger Vivi Pursued By Old Friends (new — LOAD-BEARING).
  • Cross-link Toh-Toh (new), Koza (new), Nefertari Cobra (childhood-flashback evidence add), Igaram (childhood-flashback evidence add), Yuba (densified — Ch. 0163 visit), Alubarna (densified — first named-as-capital), Erumalu (named off-page), Katorea (densified — rebel base), Nanohana (densified), Sand-Sand Band (new — childhood debut + adult cell debut).

  • First on-page Vivi-as-Alabasta-native-on-home-soil register (Ch. 162 p. 3) — ‘This is my home. I’m used to the heat.’ The Drum-Island navigator-substitute register (Ch. 132) inverts: Vivi is now the kingdom-native-as-survival-guide for the crew.
  • Canonizes the Sandora as ancient (Ch. 162 p. 4) — ‘This is an ancient desert.’ Soft tap for forward-canon Void-Century-substrate framing.
  • Articulates the 1000-foot dune-scale (Ch. 162 p. 4) — ‘The biggest dunes are over one thousand feet high.’
  • Water-rationing rule (Ch. 162 p. 4) — ‘Just a sip, Luffy. Just enough to wet your lips.’ Vivi as the crew’s desert-survival authority.
  • Names the Evil Herons (Ch. 162 p. 8) — ‘Those are the Evil Herons. They’re desert pirates that trick travelers and steal their supplies. I should have warned you about them.’ Vivi as the kingdom’s wildlife-and-threat-glossary.

Alabasta (Ch. 161) — The Green City Erumalu — Erumalu walk-through; Dance Powder explainer; defends Cobra aloud; tearful I will never forgive that man

  • LOAD-BEARING — Erumalu walk-through is Vivi’s princess-of-the-people exposition (Ch. 161 pp. 5-19). Vivi leads the Strawhats through the drought-ruined Green City of Erumalu and delivers the chapter’s full Alabasta-collapse exposition: the kingdom’s water-system failure (Sandora estuary salination + three-year drought); the King’s Miracle anomaly (Alubarna alone receives rain); the Dance Powder Incident at Nanohana port two years ago; Crocodile’s frame-up of her father. First sustained on-page Vivi-as-princess-exposition-lead beat at home-soil scale — Vivi has been the crew’s intelligence-source through the Whisky-Peak / Little-Garden / Drum-Island arcs; she is now the kingdom-explainer-lead for her own homeland.
  • Sandora estuary salination diagram (Ch. 161 p. 9). Vivi draws the river-flow / sea-rise diagram at the river-mouth and explains “the Sandora River nourished this land. But in recent years, it’s lost much of its force. It is being overcome by the sea.” The kingdom’s water-system is failing from both rain-drought and sea-intrusion. Cross-link Sandora River (Ch. 161 salination evidence add), Alabasta Three-Year Drought Doctrine (new).

  • King’s Miracle doctrine canonized (Ch. 161 pp. 10-11). “But one place got plenty of rain… where the king’s palace is. Alubarna, the capital… Throughout its long history, Alabasta never suffered from drought, until recently. The people called it the King’s Miracle… until the day of the Incident.” Cross-link Kings Miracle Royal-Rain Doctrine (new).
  • Dance Powder explainer (Ch. 161 pp. 13-15). Vivi delivers the full lore-install: Dance Powder turns into mist, triggers ice particles in clouds, falls as rain; developed by a scientist in a country where it never rains; banned by the World Government because it steals moisture from upwind countries (the Dry Curse). Cross-link Dance Powder (new), Dance Powder Artificial Rain Banned Substance Reveal (new).
  • LOAD-BEARING — defends King Cobra aloud (Ch. 161 p. 16). Luffy taunts: “Hey, it’s all your father’s fault, Vivi!!” Vivi *THWAK!!*s him: “Vivi’s father would never do something so evil!!! He was framed, you idiot!!!” First on-page Vivi-defends-Cobra beat — the daughter’s defense operationalizes her mission. Vivi is not just saving her kingdom from civil war, she is also clearing her father’s name. Cross-link Vivi Father Was Framed Defense Doctrine (new), Nefertari Cobra (off-page presence — framed king).

Go straight to Alubarna and give this letter to my father! It contains proof of Sir Crocodile and Baroque Works’ plot. Everything that Igaram and I discovered… is recorded here. The letter is a resurrection-announcement as much as an intelligence-drop. Cross-link Vivi Meet Again In Our Homeland Echo Setup (Ch. 159 sister-beat).

  • Spots Mr. 3’s wax-ship offshore (Ch. 158 p. 3) — Nami: “WAIT, THAT’S…!!! …MR. 3’S SHIP!!!” Vivi confirms: “That ship runs on Mr. 3’s wax-wax powers.” / “He’s somewhere in this kingdom.” — Vivi as the Baroque-Works-intel-source-on-Alabasta-soil register continues. Cross-link Mr 3 Wax-Ship Survived Off-Page (new — load-bearing), Mr. 3.
  • Adopts Egyptian-coded dancer-disguise (Ch. 158 pp. 14-15) — bandeau-top + low wraparound skirt + jeweled belt + sandals. “These are dancers’ outfits!! …No one will ever dream you’re a princess and a pirate dressed like that.” First on-page Alabasta-arc princess-hides-as-dancer infiltration register. The wardrobe pre-tells the entire arc’s visual signature. Cross-link Vivi Dancer-Disguise Civilian-Blend Doctrine (new — load-bearing).
  • LOAD-BEARING — canonizes Yuba as the arc’s first sub-destination (Ch. 158 p. 16) — “So, we’re going to their base and find their leader. It’s an oasis known as Yuba.” / “First of all, we have to stop the rebels… before they bathe this land in blood!!” The arc’s first concrete operational objective beyond reach Alabasta. Cross-link Yuba (new), Yuba Oasis Rebel-Base Mission-Destination Canonized (new — load-bearing).
  • Names Nanohana’s perfume-trade (Ch. 158 p. 15) — “Nanohana is famous for its perfumes.” — first on-page Vivi-as-kingdom-tour-guide beat. Pre-loads the cultural-translator-for-her-kingdom register that anchors the Alabasta arc.
  • Spots Smoker; recognizes the Navy threat (Ch. 158 p. 16) — “What are they doing here!? It’s the navy.” / “And going to Yuba means…” / “HIDE!!” — first on-page Vivi-as-tactical-conscience operationalized against the Marines in her own kingdom.

Alabasta voyage / Nanohana (Ch. 157) — Sea-cat-protection beat (princess-as-cultural-translator); first on-page Baroque-Works-officer-fruit-intel briefing (Mane Mane no Mi); proposes the X-mark / left-arm fellowship-sign; names the Billions; Alabasta-blonde-ponytail wardrobe debut

  • Princess-as-cultural-translator beat for sacred fauna (p. 4) — knocks Luffy out (KA-WHAM!!!) for trying to eat the Sea Cat: “You can’t eat it!! In Alabasta, the sea cat… is a sacred animal.” First on-page Vivi-protecting-Alabasta-fauna register; pre-loads the Pell/Chaka sacred-animal-Zoan-guardian register. Cross-link Sea Cat Sandy-Island-Coast Sacred-Animal Race Debut (new).
  • First on-page Baroque-Works-officer-fruit-intel briefing — Mane Mane no Mi (p. 8) — “They’re not just good… they’re perfect! You should’ve seen him!” / “He was great!! We couldn’t help cheering!” — Vivi as the crew’s intel-source on Mr. 2’s perfect-impersonation capability. Extends the Ch. 124 tactical Color-Trap diagnostician / Ch. 122 inhalation-petrification diagnostician register from combat-mechanic-decoder into Baroque-Works-officer-roster-briefer. Vivi has worked with Mr. 2 on-mission (“we couldn’t help cheering”) — first explicit Vivi-defector tactical-intel beat for an unmet Officer Agent. Cross-link Mane Mane no Mi Clone-Clone Fruit Foreshadowed Pre-Debut (new), Mr 2 Bon Clay Officer Agent Foreshadowed Pre-Debut (new), Vivi As Baroque Works Defector Tactical Intel Source (evidence add).
  • LOAD-BEARING — proposes the X-mark / left-arm fellowship-sign (pp. 8-11) — “With these on, we’ll be able to tell who’s who.” Vivi’s tactical-counterproposal to the Clone-Clone Fruit threat is the install of the X-mark left-arm fellowship-sign that becomes the arc’s emotional iconography. The princess of Alabasta is the on-page author of the symbol that will mark her farewell from the Strawhats. Cross-link Straw Hat Crew X-Mark Left-Arm Fellowship Sign (new — load-bearing).
  • Names the Billions (pp. 6-7) — “They’re the officer agents’ underlings… Those must be the Billions.” First on-page name-drop of the underling-tier. Vivi-as-Baroque-Works-org-chart-source register continues to anchor. Cross-link Baroque Works Billions Underling-Tier Roster Reveal (new).
  • Alabasta-debut wardrobe (pp. 5-18) — blonde ponytail, X-strap sleeveless desert top, light-color belted skirt. Wardrobe-shift from the Drum-arc snow-gear to her arc-canonical Alabasta-princess-incognito look. Cross-link Coloring Corner Vivi Pre-Install (the Ch. 120 Coloring Corner Egyptian-desert wardrobe pre-loaded this exact look 37 chapters early).
  • Maintains Mr-Bushido address-grammar (implicit via the chapter’s continuity); the Vivi-codename-grammar holds across arc-transition.

Sea-Voyage Transit / pre-Alabasta (Ch. 156) — undersea-volcano geology; Bon Clay rumor-recognition; Cobra-face threat reads

  • On the Merry, five days out from Drum, sea-voyage transit chapter. Wears casual deck-wardrobe; the Drum-arc princess-disguise long-coat is shed.
  • Explains undersea-volcano geology to the crew alongside Chopper (pp. 4-6). Vivi: “In a few thousand — or tens of thousands — of years, right there… a new island will be born.” — Grand-Line geological-lecture register continues from Ch. 0132. See Undersea Volcanoes Birth New Islands Grand-Line-Geology Install (NEW).
  • Fails to recognize Bon Clay on-arrival — knows him only by reputation (p. 17): “They say he wears makeup and talks like a girl and wears a swan coat that says ‘Oh Come My Way’ on the back.” Reputation-only tactical-intel register. The Ch. 155 roster-canonization of Mr. 2 — Bon Clay turns out to be Vivi’s only intel-source for him: she has the rumor, not the face.
  • LOAD-BEARING — identifies Bon Clay’s memory-cycle face as her father King Cobra’s (p. 18): “He mimicked my father’s face!! What does it mean!?” — names the chapter’s central threat: Baroque Works has had personal contact with the King of Alabasta. First Vivi-as-tactical-intel-source-for-the-Strawhats deployment outside the BW-roster context. The strategic implication that BW could deploy a false-king against Alabasta is now operationally on-page. See Mr 2 Bon Clay Mimicked Cobras Face Identity-Sabotage Setup (NEW), Nefertari Cobra.
  • Sanji extends Vivi’s read into the operational threat-formulation (p. 18, “If he were to pass himself off as the king…”); Nami names the trust-corrosion vector (“If he disguised himself as one of us, we wouldn’t be able to trust each other.”). Vivi’s lead diagnosis triggers the chapter’s strategic-conclusion. Vivi-as-counter-agent role is now operational (not just informational).
  • First on-page Vivi-Bon-Clay-as-officer interaction — Bon Clay has the Cobra-face in his library without recognizing the princess he is talking to. The arc-internal dramatic-irony anchor is laid.

Alabasta voyage (Ch. 155) — Baroque Works organizational-chart full exposition; Mr. 2 Bon Clay name canonized; Unluckies’ executions/comms role articulated

  • Load-bearing exposition-monologue continued. Aboard the Going Merry en route to Alabasta, Vivi delivers the chapter’s structural reveal: the full Baroque Works org-chart (Officer Agents Mr. 1-5, Frontier Agents Mr. 6-12, Mr. 13 / Ms. Friday Unluckies, 200 Billions + 1,800 Millions). Pre-loads the entire Alabasta-saga villain-roster.
  • Sir Crocodile is a hero in Alabasta!? (p. 14) — Nami’s incredulous reaction to Vivi’s explanation. Vivi: The Seven Warlords of the Sea are pirates… in the pay of the World Government. The citizens really don’t care… whether they chase the pirates off for treasure… or the Navy does it for the sake of justice. Either way, the threat is eliminated. And no one even suspects… that his real goal is to take over Alabasta. — extends the Ch. 113 deceiver-doctrine from the agent-tier to the citizen-tier.
  • Canonizes Mr. 2 Bon Clay’s name (p. 17 roster) — Mr. 2 — Bon Clay (No female partner — he doesn’t want one). Pairs with Ch. 0127 Dispatch Mr. 2 to Little Garden off-page reference. Note Mr. 2’s pair-grammar exception is institutional, not accidental.
  • Canonizes the Unluckies’ role (p. 16): Mr. 13 and Ms. Friday are special. They execute any agents who fail. The Ch. 105 punishment-squad debut is now operationally articulated as the internal-purge / kill-the-failures enforcement layer.
  • Canonizes the Officer-Agent Devil-Fruit doctrine (p. 17 side caption): Most of them have Devil Fruit powers. The Ch. 117 below-5-officer-agent-elite-tier pre-tell is now an authoritative power-tier register.
  • Vivi-as-Baroque-Works-intel-asset register at peak operational density — she names every Officer Agent + partner, the Frontier Agents’ codename system, the Billions/Millions underling-counts, and the Mr. 13/Ms. Friday execution mechanism. Strawhats now have the full org-chart of their enemy organization before the Alabasta arc-interior begins.
  • Sanji’s Hero? and Zoro’s Just what kind of outfit is this Baroque Works? break the seriousness — the chapter ends with the comedy beat that Luffy/Zoro/Sanji failed to follow the lecture, but the audience now has the full chart.

Drum Island (Ch. 153) — are we really going then?; the set sail for Alabasta destination announced

  • Asks the are we really going then? question (p. 2). Vivi: “Are we really going then?” — the question is asked of Luffy as the crew leaves the castle to fetch cannons. First on-page articulation in present-day-flow that the next arc-stop is Alabasta. The Drum arc-resolution sets up the Alabasta-arc launch.
  • Princess-disguise wardrobe still active (long coat, hairbands). The Baroque Works Miss Wednesday alias is on-page-implied not in play; the crew now treats her as Vivi the princess.
  • Witnesses the cherry-blossom bloom (p. 16) alongside the rest of the crew.
  • Helps haul cannons (pp. 7-9) — a Straw Hat operational role not a passenger-princess role. Vivi is on the team.

Drum Island (Ch. 151) — who cares about power and order doctrine; first on-page Drum-arc political-philosophy-articulator beat

  • Cries at the distant explosion (p. 11): “WAAAH!! Dalton…!!”, holding a hand over her mouth.
  • First on-page Vivi-as-political-doctrine-articulator beat for the Drum arc (pp. 10-11). The Wapol-regime-vassals shout “Politics is about power, not feelings! Power and order are all that matter.” (p. 10, an echo of Chess to Dalton in Ch. 142). Vivi snaps in close-up: ”…!!! Who cares about power and order!!! What’s so wrong… about wanting your country to have a heart!!!?” (p. 11). The doctrine — a country needs a heart, not just power-and-order — pre-loads Vivi’s Alabasta civil-war moral grammar. See Vivi Worries About Power And Order Counter-Doctrine.
  • Witnesses Dalton reveal his dynamite vest (p. 12) alongside the rest of the party — gasps with the others.

Drum Island (Ch. 147) — anxiety spiral + Mr. Bushido nickname canonized + Usopp-pair dynamic

  • First on-page Vivi-anxiety spiral (p. 13): ‘And Nami’s fever was so high! What if Wapol went up there!? And Dr. Kureha may have come home!! We have to help them!! And I’m worried about that avalanche, too… Usopp!! Mr. Bushido!! Let’s go up that mountain!!!’ — Vivi’s tactical-mind overloads with worry; she names her concerns rapid-fire. The Ch. 142 composed-in-public / cry-in-private register inverts into a public talk-through-the-fear register among friends.
  • Canonizes Mr. Bushido as Vivi’s nickname for Zoro (p. 13). First on-page Vivi-Zoro-honorific use. See Mr Bushido Nickname Origin Doctrine.
  • Reads Usopp’s coward-tell and gently calls him on it (p. 14): ‘You’re afraid to go up the mountain, huh?’ Accepts his wisdom anyway: ‘You’re right… It’s important to have faith in your friends. Thank you, Usopp.’ — Vivi’s political-shrewdness-applied-to-friendship register: she can read Usopp’s bluff but values the moral content beneath it. See Usopp Vivi Tactical Pair.
  • Carried by Dalton toward Drum Castle (p. 15, DA-DOOM!!!) — joins the climactic castle assault. Vivi’s wound (from Ch. 146-era off-page beats) puts her in the carried-up-the-mountain register that Luffy-Nami inhabited Ch. 138 — princess-as-cargo for the assault.

Drum Island (Ch. 142) — childhood-flashback at age 8; first appearance of her father

  • First childhood appearance, age 8 (pp. 7-8). Pink polka-dot dress, blonde hair, pageboy Igaram in crown-and-tutu attendance. At the World Council at Mariejois with her father, King Nefertari Cobra.
  • Bullied by Wapol (p. 7) — he stumbles into her and sneers “How unfortunate you are to be the daughter of that worthless fool”. Vivi controls her anger: “It’s all right. No, Igaram!! Sorry I bumped into you.” — refuses to escalate the diplomatic incident.
  • Composed-in-public / cry-in-private register installed (p. 8). Vivi waits until Wapol leaves, then runs to Igaram and bursts into tears (“WAAAH!!”). Igaram: “YOU WERE MAGNIFICENT, PRINCESS VIVI!!”. The personality-trait that defines her arc-role canonized at 8.
  • Dalton’s voice-over canonizes her political maturity: “In Alabasta, a child of 10 puts the welfare of her country above her own feelings.” / “What an amazing girl!! At a council of world leaders such as that, the slightest provocation could start a war.” The Alabasta princess is the moral-conscience-of-the-Council figure who shames the Drum delegation. See Vivi Eight Year Old Diplomatic Composure Princess Tell.

Drum Island (Ch. 139) — avalanche survivor; leads sub-party into Big Horn

  • Avalanche survivor — drags unconscious Usopp piggyback through the blizzard (pp. 2-3) and slaps him awake. “WAKE UP, USOPP!! DON’T FALL BACK TO SLEEP!!”
  • Re-groups with Zoro in the snow (p. 4) and leads the sub-party into Big Horn (p. 5).
  • Tries to stop Zoro from fighting the vassals (p. 7): “Stop, you fool!! If you fight them—” (cut off by Zoro’s kick).
  • Princess-of-Alabasta political register active — she is the one who recognizes Wapol’s vassal-network for what it is structurally (the We used to serve under him dynamic). See Wapol Vassal-Loyalty Reactivation On Return.

Drum Island (Ch. 137) — at Bighorn during the avalanche

  • First on-page placement at Bighorn village (pp. 2, 14). Calls out “Usopp!! Could they have…!?” (p. 2) — confirming the Drum-village Straw-Hat split (Zoro/Usopp/Vivi at Bighorn; Luffy/Sanji/Nami on the mountain).
  • As the avalanche bears down on Bighorn, reassures Nami across the slope: “Nami, are you cold!!? Hang on just a little longer!!!” / “If you get buried, Vivi, I’ll dig you out!” / “I-it’ll be all right, Vivi! D-don’t worry!!” (p. 15).

Drum Island (Ch. 136) — leads the Gyasta sled team

  • Navigates the split-the-party Gyasta sled-team with Usopp, Zoro, and Karoo (p. 4) — Vivi at the reins of the bighorn-ram sled. The plan: Vivi’s team retrieves the doctor from Gyasta and brings her back while Luffy/Sanji carry Nami up to Drum Castle. First on-page Drum-arc party-split, and the first on-page beat of Vivi commanding a Straw Hat sub-team for navigation.
  • Vivi (uncertain navigator-mode): “Not as sure as I’d like to be.” Usopp (rebuking the princess-trope): “Princesses don’t know everything!!” Vivi defends the plan: ”…If Nami makes it to the castle…” — articulating the converging-vector strategy. Spots the GYASTA signpost: “There’s a sign that says ‘Gyasta’. We can’t miss it.” / “Okay, leave it to me!!”
  • Vivi has converted from substitute-navigator (Ch. 132) to doctor-retrieval-team leader — escalating her tactical-conscience role into operational command.

Drum Island (Ch. 134)

  • Vivi recognizes the name Wapol — she met him as a child at a meeting of kings her father (King Cobra) took her to (p. 2). First on-page evidence that Vivi attended a Reverie-style monarch summit as a princess. See Meeting of Kings.
  • Reacts with visceral horror to Wapol abandoning his people: “How could a king do such a thing!!? It’s despicable for a king to abandon his people!!” (pp. 5-6) — Vivi defines, in negative, the princess-mandate she carries through the saga. See Wapol King Who Abandoned His People.

Drum Island (Ch. 132)

  • Tends the bedridden, feverish Nami (pp. 2-3, 8); reads the thermometer.
  • Delivers the Grand Line four-island-type climate lecture (pp. 6-7): summer/spring/autumn/winter islands, each cycling four sub-seasons; a four-island traverse passes through 16 seasons. First on-page systematic explanation of Grand Line climate.
  • Establishes the navigation doctrine stable weather means there’s an island nearby (pp. 7-8) — functions as the crew’s substitute navigator with Nami incapacitated.
  • Knocked off her feet by the Drum Islanders’ near-miss cannon-fire (p. 15).
  • Rebukes Luffy“Impulsiveness doesn’t solve anything!! Luffy, you’re a failure as a captain. …What will happen to Nami? If you get us all killed…” (pp. 16-17). First on-page beat of Vivi acting as the crew’s tactical conscience; Luffy concedes immediately.

Drum Island (Ch. 131)

  • Tends the sick Nami below deck on the Going Merry; Luffy assigns her to “take over here” (p. 9).

Alabasta voyage (Ch. 130)

  • First on-page formal mission-request from Vivi to the whole crew — she assembles everyone and asks them to “sail this ship at maximum speed… and head straight for Alabasta!!” (pp. 14-15). The crew agrees instantly (Sanji: “We promised you we would!!”).
  • First numerical stakes for her mission — a million of her people will die in a “senseless war” if she fails (pp. 11-13). First explicit on-page statement that Crocodile will take over Alabasta if the civil war runs its course (p. 11).
  • Acts as the crew’s de-facto medic-knowledge source — diagnoses Nami’s illness as a Grand Line climate disease and explains the “even a little cold can kill you” doctrine (pp. 2-3).
  • Reads the war newspaper and delivers the first hard troop-counts (600k Royal / 400k Rebel; 300k defections — p. 8); confesses she concealed the (3-day-old) paper from Luffy to avoid worrying him.

Little Garden (close) (Ch. 129)

  • Recommits to the Alabasta mission once Little Garden is behind the crew (p. 17 — …and save my kingdom…); recap-panel re-shows Crocodile’s You must live!!! threat.
  • First to notice Nami is ill and to summon the crew (pp. 19-20) — Vivi as the crew’s medical-alarm raiser at the arc-transition.

Little Garden (Ch. 128) — Pirate Pride — guilt over the giants’ injuries; near-tears gratitude for the Eternal Pose; named by the Marines; Coloring Corner crew-tier inclusion continues

  • Guilt over the giants’ injuries (p. 7) — “they… only came to this island… because of me…” — Vivi’s responsibility-for-the-mission register; Nami reassures her (“No one’s mad at you.”).
  • Near-tears gratitude for the Eternal Pose (p. 12) — “I’d almost lost hope… Thank you, Sanji!!” — the arc-objective (reach Alabasta to save her kingdom) regains its path.
  • Named by the Marines (pp. 5-6) — Smoker recovers Princess Vivi as an intercepted keyword and identifies her as the missing princess of Alabasta; first on-page Marine awareness of Vivi’s identity and her link to the Strawhats.
  • Coloring Corner crew-tier inclusion continues (p. 19) — Vivi is again placed inside the Strawhat group-composition in the back-matter art (cf. Ch. 120 Coloring Corner). Cross-link Coloring Corner Vivi Pre-Install.

Little Garden (Ch. 126) — Instinct — freed from the wax-statue prison by Luffy’s heat

  • Freed from the wax-statue prison by Luffy’s heat (Ch. 126 pp. 5-6) — Luffy ignites Karoo’s saddle-rope and melts the wax-statue prisons; Vivi is freed alive, coughing — “Koff koff!! I can’t believe it! We’re… alive.” (p. 6). Pays off the Ch. 0125 cliffhanger (Vivi’s off-pedestal-voice instruction to Luffy to use heat to melt the wax). Cross-link Luffy (rescuer), Doru Doru no Mi (heat-melts-wax weakness exploited).

Little Garden (Ch. 125) — Candle Champion — wax-pedestal-bound captive (affect-painted to I love you!); off-pedestal voice instructs Luffy to use heat to melt the wax; refers to Brogy as Master Broggy — Master-honorific elevates the giants’ status in Vivi’s address-grammar

  • Wax-pedestal-bound + affect-painted captive (Ch. 125 pp. 3-4) — Vivi is bound on a wax-pedestal and Goldenweek-painted to feel love — Vivi cries “I love you!” under the affect-distortion. First on-page Vivi-as-affect-distortion-target — the Color-Trap technique applied to a Strawhat-aligned ally. The princess-protected character-coding (Ch. 120) is inverted in Ch. 125 (princess-as-captive-needing-rescue).
  • LOAD-BEARING — off-pedestal voice instructs Luffy on the wax-fruit’s weakness (Ch. 125 p. 11) — Vivi: “Luffy!! Heat can melt the wax!!!” — Vivi is the first Strawhat-aligned voice to explicitly articulate the heat-melts-wax weakness, validating Luffy’s epiphany. First on-page Vivi-as-tactical-intelligence-source-mid-combat beat — the Ch. 119 Vivi-reads-Baroque-Works-ambush strategic-intelligence-source role now extends to Devil-Fruit-weakness expertise. Pre-loads Vivi’s recurring briefing-the-Strawhats-on-Alabasta-enemy-mechanics arc-role.
  • Refers to Brogy as Master Broggy (Ch. 125 p. 11) — Vivi: “Our guys and Master Broggy haven’t been solid for very long!! We can still save them!!” The Master (sensei-tier) honorific elevates Brogy’s status in Vivi’s address-grammar from the giant (Ch. 117-120) to Master (Ch. 125). First on-page Vivi-uses-honorific-for-giants beat — the giants-as-warriors-deserving-respect register extends. Cross-link Brogy (Ch. 125 Master-honorific evidence add).
  • Fire-deployment instruction-giver (Ch. 125 p. 17) — Vivi: “Luffy!!! That flame’s too small!! Light Karoo’s rope!!!” — Vivi escalates Luffy’s flame-source instruction in the chapter-end cliffhanger. Vivi-as-tactical-instructor-mid-combat sub-role continues.
  • Cross-link Luffy (Vivi’s tactical-instruction-recipient), Brogy (Master-honorific evidence add), Miss Goldenweek (Vivi’s affect-painter), Karoo (Vivi’s rescue-tool collaborator).

Little Garden (Ch. 124) — The Tea Is Good — wax-bound in the Wax-Wax House execution-chamber on the wax-platform; freed by Usopp’s Boom-Star explosion; tactical Color-Trap diagnostician (she uses paint… to make refined color images that hypnotize people); reverse-psychology Betrayal-Black-escape tactic for Luffy; Karoo-fear-of-Vivi getaway-mount comic beat; reconstructs the Color-Trap mechanic from past-encounter evidence

  • LOAD-BEARING — tactical Color-Trap diagnostician (Ch. 124 p. 6) — Vivi (sweat-stream, urgent): “She uses paint… to make refined color images that hypnotize people. That girl… is an artist who can accurately recreate the colors of emotions. Hypnotic powers would be devastating… against a simple-minded fool like him! He wouldn’t stand a chance!” — Vivi knows the Color-Trap mechanic ahead of the chapter (probably from Baroque-Works internal dossier-knowledge as a defector). Vivi’s intel-superiority is now explicitly compounded against the on-frame Officer-Agent pair — she correctly diagnoses the technique, names the simple-minded fool vulnerability of her own captain, and tries to direct combat-counters from off-platform. Vivi-as-tactical-intelligence-source canonization continues. Cross-link Vivi As Baroque Works Defector Tactical Intel Source (new — propose; see below).
  • LOAD-BEARING — reverse-psychology Betrayal-Black-escape tactic for Luffy (Ch. 124 p. 7) — Vivi: “Whatever you do, don’t step out of the black circle!! Please!!!” then pivots to “We don’t want you… to save us!” — Vivi uses reverse-psychology against Luffy’s captain-trusts-the-crew-categorically instinct (Ch. 0118 doctrine). Luffy’s contrarian “Oh yeah? But I’ll save you now!!!” response makes him step out of the black-circle and break the Betrayal-Black trance. First on-page Vivi-as-Luffy-handler tactical-cooperation beat — Vivi knows Luffy’s psychology well enough to manipulate his contrarian instincts. Pre-loads the Vivi-as-tactical-counterpart-to-Luffy register that anchors the Alabasta arc. Cross-link Luffy (reverse-psychology escape).
  • Wax-bound in the Wax-Wax House execution-chamber (Ch. 124 pp. 2-3) — Vivi stands wax-bound on the platform under the candelabra-arch canopy. “We’re about to become wax figures!!! Don’t you get it!?! We’re going to die!!” (p. 3). The wax-execution-chamber is the chapter’s death-clock backdrop.
  • Freed by Usopp’s Boom-Star explosion (Ch. 124 p. 4) — BOOM!!! — Usopp’s first projectile (a Boom-Star) blasts Vivi free of the wax-binding. The other wax-bound Strawhats (Zoro, Nami) remain bound on the platform.
  • Karoo-fear-of-Vivi getaway-mount comic beat (Ch. 124 pp. 4-5) — Vivi (mid-Karoo-mount-attempt): “Hey!! Stop!! Lemme get on!!” / “Why are you scared of me!?” — Karoo flees Vivi mid-sprint. Comic inversion of the mount-and-rider grammar. Karoo’s loyalty-doctrine (Ch. 0120) is now contrasted with the comic-skittish-of-Vivi running gag. Cross-link Karoo (skittish-of-Vivi gag), Karoo Skittish Of Vivi Comic Inversion (new — propose).
  • Reconstructs the Color-Trap mechanic from past-encounter evidence (Ch. 124 p. 14) — Vivi: “It has to be her!!! When we bumped into Luffy earlier, the mark was painted on his shirt. That mousy girl beside him must’ve done it.” — Vivi connects the off-frame Goldenweek-paints-Luffy past-encounter to the current-frame Color-Trap deployment. Vivi-as-tactical-intelligence-reconstructor.
  • The chapter’s tactical-counter to Mr. 5 + Miss V + Goldenweek is led by Vivi — Vivi is the on-frame strategist (not Luffy, not Usopp). She directs the Strawhats: “Charge!!!” (p. 14 — Karoo charges); “Full speed ahead!!!” (p. 4); “Let’s go by our guys again!!!” (p. 13). First on-page Vivi-as-combat-strategist beat — the Princess of Alabasta operationally commands the Strawhats during the wax-execution-chamber set-piece.
  • Cross-link Luffy (reverse-psychology Betrayal-Black-escape), Usopp (Boom-Star wax-rescue), Karoo (skittish-of-Vivi gag + cavalry mount), Miss Goldenweek (tactical-diagnosed Color-Trap deployer), Mr. 5 (tactical-target), Vivi As Baroque Works Defector Tactical Intel Source (new — propose), Karoo Skittish Of Vivi Comic Inversion (new — propose).

Little Garden (Ch. 123) — Luffy vs. Mr. 3 — trapped in wax atop the pillar; rebuts Nami’s amputation plan; MR. BUSHIDO!? codename re-keyed at Zoro; Strawhat-irreverence-under-threat coding alongside the crew

  • Trapped in wax atop the giant candle-pillar (Ch. 123 pp. 2-12) — Vivi is one of the hardening prisoners; rescued when Luffy breaks the wax-pillar (pp. 9-10) but remains immobilized until the perimeter-effect dissipates.
  • Rebuts Nami’s leg-amputation plan (Ch. 123 p. 3) — Nami: “YOU GOT IT WRONG. I WAS GOING TO CUT OFF MY LEGS SO I COULD FIGHT.” Vivi: “SHH! THAT’S EVEN STUPIDER. WHAT KIND OF FOOL CUTS OFF HIS LEGS SO HE CAN RUN AWAY?” — first Vivi-as-Strawhat-irreverence-participant beat. Vivi’s princess-pragmatic register joins the crew’s categorically-refuse-to-take-the-capture-seriously coding. First on-page evidence that Vivi has assimilated into Strawhat tonal register — pre-loads her forward-canon honorary-Strawhat status. Cross-link Strawhat Irreverence Under Threat Coding (new — load-bearing).
  • MR. BUSHIDO!? codename re-keyed at Zoro (Ch. 123 p. 11) — Vivi’s persistent Ch. 109 Mr. Bushido address-grammar continues; pattern-instance of Vivi-uses-Whisky-Peak-era-codenames-for-the-Strawhats-permanently. Cross-link Mr Bushido Nickname Origin Doctrine.
  • Continues the Usopp-Vivi tactical-pair grammar (Ch. 123 p. 12) — Vivi + Usopp together yell “NOT IF I CAN HELP IT!!! GUN-POWDER STAR!!!” — coordinated counter-attack against Mr. 3’s Wax-Wax Art Harpoon. Pattern-instance of the Ch. 120 Usopp-Vivi tactical-pair register. Cross-link Usopp Vivi Tactical Pair.
  • Princess-vs-officer-rivalry sustained (Ch. 123 p. 14) — Vivi (urging Luffy): “LUFFY, PLEASE HURRY!!!” — the kingdom-stakes register continues; Vivi’s resolve-hardening as the trap accelerates.
  • Cross-link Luffy (trust-the-captain register), Zoro (Mr. Bushido address), Nami (amputation-plan rebut), Usopp (tactical-pair partner), Mr. 3 (target of the Gun-Powder Star counter), Strawhat Irreverence Under Threat Coding (new — load-bearing).

Little Garden (Ch. 122) — A Dead Body Is Useless — wax-bound; diagnoses inhalation-petrification mechanism; receives Sanji’s Princess Vivi save the kingdom mandate; Karoo!! reunion; Let’s do it! combat-commitment

  • LOAD-BEARING — diagnoses Mr. 3’s inhalation-petrification mechanism (Ch. 122 p. 6) — “The wax is getting in our lungs!! He means to turn us into wax figures from the inside out!!!” — Vivi as the crew’s diagnostic-source for Devil-Fruit combat mechanics. The Ch. 119 first-to-correctly-diagnose-the-Baroque-Works-ambush register continues: Vivi reads the Mr. 3 wax-petrification mechanism before any Strawhat does. The princess-of-the-people / political-intelligence register extends to biological combat-intelligence — she identifies the inhalation-attack-vector threat-vector while the other Strawhats are coughing without diagnosing.
  • LOAD-BEARING — receives Sanji’s Princess Vivi save the kingdom mandate (Ch. 122 p. 13) — Sanji: Princess Vivi!! It’s up to you to save the kingdom!first on-page Strawhat-acknowledgement of the Vivi-princess-mandate as the load-bearing mission-objective. Vivi’s princess-of-the-people register is now the explicit reason the Strawhats are fighting. Address-asymmetry-canonized: Strawhats acknowledge her title; BW Officers (Mr. 5 Ch. 120 p. 15) mock her with the Ms. Wednesday defector-codename. Cross-link Vivi Princess Save The Kingdom Strawhat-Mandate (new — load-bearing), Vivi Is The Kingdom Succession Doctrine (Ch. 122 Sanji-articulation evidence add — payoff), Mr 5 Mocks Ms Wednesday Post-Princess-Reveal (Ch. 122 address-asymmetry counterpart).
  • Let’s do it!!!! combat-commitment (Ch. 122 p. 13) — Vivi’s resolve-hardens in response to the Sanji-mandate and Zoro’s leg-cut commencement. The Whisky-Peak-arc-close I-don’t-belong-here register (Ch. 0114 p. 18) is now fully replaced by Let’s do it combat-active register.
  • Karoo!! reunion (Ch. 122 p. 17) — Vivi reacts with relief at Karoo’s rescue-arrival. The Ch. 120 Karoo had nothing to do with this!!! protective register is now closed: Karoo is alive and combat-functional.
  • Horror-reaction at Zoro’s self-mutilation proposal (Ch. 122 p. 10) — “Your legs!? Your own legs!!? You can’t be serious!! How can you say that at a time like this!!!” — Vivi as the cultural-outsider register-mismatch with Zoro’s Bushido-tier resolve-doctrine. Her horror is the chapter’s tell that Zoro’s doctrine is extreme even within the Strawhat crew — only Brogy (cross-cultural Elbaf-honor-register) endorses it without horror.
  • Wax-bound on the execution platform throughout — Vivi is a diagnostic-and-emotional-anchor for the chapter, not a combat-actor. Her role: read the mechanism, accept the mandate, react to Zoro’s resolve.
  • Cross-link Sanji (mandate-articulator), Zoro (Bushido-tier resolve-doctrine source), Karoo (reunion partner), Vivi Princess Save The Kingdom Strawhat-Mandate (new — load-bearing).

Little Garden (Ch. 121) — I Knew — sees Mr. 5 + Miss Valentine departing from a distance; arrives at wax-camp; immobilized by wax-mist; defies Mr. 3’s art execution-mode; first Mr. 3-tier immobilization victim among the Strawhats

  • Witnesses Mr. 5 + Miss Valentine’s departure from a distance (Ch. 121 p. 6) — ’…!!’ — Vivi on-feet, distant from the Luffy/Usopp clearing, reacts to the Officer Agents departing. The fail-to-protect-Luffy register continues (Ch. 119 wax-strike abducted Nami while Luffy was elsewhere; Ch. 121 has Vivi watching the Officer Agents collect Luffy off-stage).
  • Arrives at the wax-camp (Ch. 121 p. 13) — Vivi (waking, fallen on ground): ‘OW!!’ / ‘What is that!?’ — Vivi has been delivered or has stumbled into the wax-camp scene.
  • LOAD-BEARING — first Mr. 3-tier immobilization victim among the Strawhats (Ch. 121 p. 14) — FWIP FWIP FWIP — wax-mist progressively hardens on Vivi’s lower body. Vivi: ‘It’s not because he enjoys our company.’ / ‘He’s immobilized us, and I have a feeling…’ / ’…My legs, I can’t move…’ GLUP… — Vivi correctly diagnoses the immobilization mechanism and articulates it for the other captives (Nami, Brogy, Zoro). The Ch. 0119 first-to-correctly-diagnose-the-Baroque-Works-ambush strategic-intelligence-source role anchors continues — Vivi is again the first to read the operational threat correctly. Cross-link Vivi As Active Baroque Works Counter-Agent (Ch. 121 strategic-read evidence add), Doru Doru no Mi (Ch. 121 immobilization-victim).
  • Defies Mr. 3’s art execution-mode (Ch. 121 p. 15) — ‘We don’t want to be your stupid art!!!’ / ‘Forget it!!!’ — first on-page Vivi direct verbal defiance of an Officer-Agent’s execution-mode. Re-keys her Ch. 120 resolve-hardening as she stops pretending and starts fighting as a princess-in-action register. Princess-of-the-people resolve continues to harden.
  • Strategic-articulator role (Ch. 121 p. 14) — Vivi reads the wax-rain as structural intent (he’s immobilized us, and I have a feeling…), not as random damage. The role of unit-strategist among the captives anchors. Pre-loads the Alabasta-saga Vivi-the-tactician register.
  • Cross-link Mr. 3 (immobilization perpetrator), Nami (co-immobilized captive), Brogy (co-immobilized captive), Zoro (co-immobilized captive), Karoo (the protected-companion who is offstage), Vivi As Active Baroque Works Counter-Agent (Ch. 121 strategic-articulator evidence add).

Little Garden (Ch. 120) — The Red Ogre Weeps — Usopp-Vivi tactical-pair installed; Peacock Slasher re-keyed against Mr. 5; Karoo dropped tortured at her feet; Mr. 5 persists with Ms. Wednesday mockery post-princess-reveal; first crew-tier Coloring Corner inclusion

  • First Usopp-Vivi tactical-pair beat (Ch. 120 p. 11) — Vivi: “I’ll come with you!!” Usopp: “Good! Come along!! I can use the moral support!!” Vivi: “No need for that!!” The weakest-Strawhat + ally-princess combat composition installs. The pair-template re-keys across the Little Garden wax-snare escape and the early Alabasta camel-rescue / Sandora-river-crossing arcs. Cross-link Usopp Vivi Tactical Pair (new).
  • Peacock Slasher re-keyed against Officer Agents (Ch. 120 p. 15) — “Eat this!! Peacock Slasher!!! Certain death!!!” — first re-use of a previously-named attack across opponent-classes (Ch. 109 install against Zoro → Ch. 120 re-use against Mr. 5). Mr. 5 blocks the attack with a WOOSH TWANG parry. Vivi’s first on-page direct combat against an Officer-Agent of Baroque Works — resolve-hardening as she stops pretending and starts fighting as a princess-in-action. Cross-link Ms Wednesday Peacock Slasher Attack (Ch. 120 re-use evidence add).
  • Mr. 5 persistently addresses Vivi as Ms. Wednesday (Ch. 120 p. 15) — “Oh-ho! So you want to play, Ms. Wednesday?” — Mr. 5 refuses to acknowledge her royal title even after the Ch. 110 princess-reveal. First on-page instance of defector-codename mockery as a Baroque-Works officer psychological-dominance grammar — the address-pattern is re-used by every BW officer (Mr. 4, Mr. 2, Mr. 1, Crocodile) against Vivi across the Alabasta saga. Cross-link Mr 5 Mocks Ms Wednesday Post-Princess-Reveal (new).
  • Horror at the tortured Karoo dropped at her feet (Ch. 120 p. 11) — Mr. 5 + Miss Valentine deposit the bloodied Karoo (WUMP!!) with the line “You can have him back. We’ve finished with him.” Vivi: “Karoo had nothing to do with this!!! Why?” — first Vivi-protective-of-Karoo emotional beat. The princess-protective-of-her-people resolve-hardening continues. Cross-link Karoo Torture Resistance Loyalty Doctrine (new).
  • Coloring Corner — first crew-tier inclusion of Vivi in Strawhat composition (Ch. 120 p. 18) — chapter-closing B-side color-art shows the full Strawhat crew + Vivi in Egyptian-desert wardrobe. First Coloring Corner inclusion of Vivi as a permanent crew-member — art-level pre-load of the Vivi-as-honorary-Strawhat finale position (X-mark-on-arm ceremony at the Alabasta saga close, ~Ch. 216). Vivi is composed as Luffy’s structural-counterpart from the earliest art-level beats onward. Cross-link Coloring Corner Vivi Pre-Install (new), Every Remaining Straw Hat Was Pre-Installed In Ch 1 Romance Dawn Splash (Ch. 120 art-level pre-install extension), Vivi is the Final Joy Boy Counterpart (consistent-direction evidence).
  • Cross-link Brogy (new), Dorry (new), Mr. 3 (new on-page direct), Miss Goldenweek (new on-page direct), Usopp (tactical-pair partner), Karoo (torture-victim).

Little Garden (Ch. 119) — first to correctly diagnose the Baroque Works ambush; strategic-intelligence-source role anchors; centered in Mr. 3’s photograph-dossier — first external confirmation of Vivi’s primacy in the operational read of the crew

  • LOAD-BEARING — first to correctly diagnose the Baroque Works ambush (p. 16) — “I don’t know, but… what if… some Baroque Works agents followed us to this island?” Vivi reads the threat before the Straw Hats do — her strategic-intelligence-source role anchors. The crew’s pragmatic-strategist (Nami) is missing; the captain (Luffy) is in rage-pivot mode; the sniper (Usopp) is panicking. Vivi steps into the threat-assessment slot and is the first to identify Baroque Works as the off-island third-party Luffy deduced in Ch. 0118. Reinforces Vivi is the Final Joy Boy Counterpart — the active-counter-agent sub-thesis (not passive princess). Cross-link Vivi As Active Baroque Works Counter-Agent (evidence add).
  • Quiet at the giants’ duel (pp. 2-4, 9) — Vivi is on-panel but lets Usopp express the despair (“It’s impossible for us to reach the ship through the jungle!!!”). She defers tactically until she has actionable intel, then takes charge once Nami is missing. Pattern-instance of Vivi’s strategist-restraint-then-decisive-call register that recurs through the Alabasta-saga.
  • LOAD-BEARING — centered in Mr. 3’s photograph-dossier (p. 11) — even the antagonists treat Vivi as the unit-leader of the target group, with the Straw Hats arrayed around her. First on-page external (antagonist-perspective) confirmation of Vivi’s primacy in the operational read of the crew. Where Ch. 0118 had Mr. 3 acknowledge that he didn’t know the Princess had pirates guarding her (defensive after-the-fact register), Ch. 0119 shows the operational-targeting register: the dossier composition has Vivi at center because she is the primary target and the Strawhats are her escort-pirates. Reinforces Every Remaining Straw Hat Was Pre-Installed In Ch 1 Romance Dawn Splash honorary-nakama-extension sub-axis at the antagonist-validation layer. Cross-link Baroque Works Photograph-Dossier Targeting Methodology (new — load-bearing).
  • Cross-link Mr. 3 (Ch. 0119 dossier-positioning), Miss Goldenweek (Ch. 0119 paintbrush-rendered dossier-vehicle), Baroque Works Photograph-Dossier Targeting Methodology (new — load-bearing), Vivi is the Final Joy Boy Counterpart (evidence add — soft), Straw Hat Recruitment Pattern (Ch. 0119 evidence add).

Little Garden (Ch. 118) — witnesses Luffy’s Gum-Gum Rocket throw of Dorry; Princess identity confirmed known to all four on-island Baroque Works Officer Agents (Mr. 3 + Goldenweek now also briefed)

  • Witnesses Luffy’s Gum-Gum Rocket throw of Dorry (p.8) — on-screen reaction-shot: “Luffy!!?” The audience-shock register continues through the chapter as the Strawhats process what’s happening on Little Garden.
  • Princess identity confirmed known to Mr. 3 + Miss Goldenweek (p.14) — Mr. 3, chastising Mr. 5 / Miss Valentine in the wax-house: “We were just a little careless!! We didn’t know the Princess had pirates guarding her!!” — Mr. 3’s “the Princess” explicitly references Vivi. Confirms that Mr. 3 and Miss Goldenweek know Vivi’s Princess identity independently of Mr. 5 / Miss Valentine (presumably via the Unluckies surveillance channel from Whisky Peak). The Vivi-pursuit has spread to all four on-island Officer Agents — escalating the combat-pressure on the Strawhats. Princess-of-the-people resolve-hardening expected to follow forward-canon as the target-pull intensifies. Cross-link Vivi Undercover Identity Long Burn (Mr. 3 confirms knowledge), Mr. 3 (new on-page), Miss Goldenweek (new on-page), Vivi is the Final Joy Boy Counterpart (target-pull intensification evidence add — soft).

Little Garden (Ch. 117) — cultural-interpreter for giants’ warrior-flag honor-doctrine; first explicit kingdom-concern register; princess-with-stakes hardening

  • Explains the giants’ warrior-flag honor-doctrine to Usopp (p.8) — ‘those flags mean more to them than their very lives.’ Vivi acts as cultural-interpreter for a foreign warrior-society, presaging her later princess-of-the-people register. The act of explaining one warrior-society’s value-system to a Strawhat installs the Vivi-as-cultural-translator register that recurs in the Alabasta arc (explaining Alabasta-court customs, the Hero of the Sand doctrine, the rebel-vs-monarchy frame).
  • First explicit kingdom-concern register (p.13) — ‘What would become of my kingdom? What’ll I do!? Even if we manage to survive for a year…’ Vivi’s resolve-as-princess hardens when the year-long Log-Pose-reset threatens to delay the Alabasta-mission. The Ch. 116 first operational-princess deliberation now extends into first explicit if-I-fail-my-kingdom-falls register. Evidence for Vivi is the Final Joy Boy Counterpart — Vivi acts as princess-with-kingdom-stakes, not just as a passenger.
  • Cross-link Usopp (warrior-doctrine-interpretation recipient), Elbaf Code Of Honor (cultural-translation source), Vivi is the Final Joy Boy Counterpart (evidence add — soft).

Little Garden (Ch. 116) — Big — first operational-princess deliberation; asks Brogy the load-bearing log-pose-reset question; moral-objection-to-the-Hundred-Year-Duel; re-keys princess-grammar from identity-revelation to operational-active-leader-asking-the-questions mode

  • First operational-princess deliberation since her Ch. 0110 identity-reveal. Asks Brogy the load-bearing logistics question: ‘Mr. Broggy, can I… ask you a question? On… on this island, how long does it take for a log pose to reset?’ (p.13) — answer: one year.
  • Moral-objection-to-the-duel register: ‘You’ve been fighting for a hundred years!? Even if you live that long, wouldn’t you lose your passion for battle!? What’s the point anymore!?’ (p.16); ‘A hatred that makes you hack at each other for a hundred years!? That’s insane!!’ (p.17).
  • Re-keys her princess-grammar from Ch. 0110 identity-revelation to operational-active-leader-of-the-party-asking-the-questions mode. Strong evidence-tap for Vivi is the Final Joy Boy Counterpart.
  • Identifies human bones at Dorry’s camp (p.12) — early-warning instinct.
  • Cross-link Brogy (new), Dorry (new), Log Pose (log-pose-reset-time canonization), Elbaf Code Of Honor (new), Vivi Practical Princess Log Pose Question Doctrine (new), Vivi is the Final Joy Boy Counterpart (evidence add).

Little Garden (Ch. 115) — Little Garden of Adventure — Grand-Line-native-briefer register; cardinal rule — never underestimate the Grand Line; seven magnetic fields from Reverse Mountain; civilian-relaxation register; Karoo will protect me trust-declaration; Ms. All-Sunday first on-page mention

  • First sustained civilian-relaxation register since joining the crew (pp.4-5) — Vivi with cocktail, hair-down: “On a ship like this? Don’t your cares just melt away… It’s very relaxing. Yes.” Pre-loads the Alabasta-saga being-a-princess-is-a-burden emotional-pivot. The Straw-Hat-ship is temporary asylum from royal-duty. Predictive evidence for Vivi is the Final Joy Boy Counterpart — Vivi being a princess is a burden the ship temporarily lifts, and the lift is foregrounded as a calm-before-the-storm — the princess-of-the-people register is implicitly contrasted with the princess-as-civilian register.
  • Briefs the crew on Grand-Line weather and seven magnetic fields from Reverse Mountain (p.3) — first non-Crocus on-page citation of the seven-routes magnetic-field structure. Cross-link Grand Line Magnetic Fields and Seven Grand Line Routes.
  • Delivers the cardinal rule doctrine (p.3) — “Never underestimate the Grand Line!!”. First on-page cardinal-rule doctrine for Grand-Line navigation. Cross-link Vivi Cardinal Rule Never Underestimate Grand Line (new).
  • Cites Ms. All-Sunday as a credible warning-source (p.8) — “I’m worried about what Ms. All-Sunday said. We’ve got to be careful.” First on-page mention of Ms. All-Sunday (Robin’s Baroque-Works alias). Vivi treats Ms. All-Sunday’s information as authoritative — installs Ms. All-Sunday as a high-rank Baroque-Works intelligence-officer. Cross-link Nico Robin (Ms. All-Sunday — first on-page name-drop adds to Ch. 0114 debut).
  • Trust-declaration: Karoo will protect me (p.12) — first on-page upgrade of Karoo from mount-companion to bodyguard-tier guardian. Cross-link Karoo (relationship-tier upgrade) and Karoo Will Protect Me Vivi Trust Beat (new).
  • Asks Sanji to fix Karoo a drink (p.12) — Vivi’s habit of including Karoo in any provisioning-distribution beat.
  • Recognizes the dinosaur as a non-Neptunian creature (p.17) — “Dinosaur!!!!” — Vivi as the crew member with non-East-Blue-baseline geography knowledge is the first to correctly identify the creature class.
  • Cross-link Nico Robin (Ms. All-Sunday name-drop), Karoo (trust-declaration), Little Garden (new), Grand Line Magnetic Fields.

Whisky Peak (Ch. 114)

  • Frantic search for Karoo at sail-off; Karoo is already aboard (pp. 3-4).
  • Recognizes Miss All Sunday on-deck immediately (“What are you doing here… Ms. All Sunday!?”, p. 8) — confirms Vivi had already encountered the Vice President during her infiltration, providing context for the I let you follow me reframe (p. 9).
  • First on-page princess-as-combat-doctrine: “DON’T UNDERESTIMATE US!!!” (p. 10) in response to Miss All Sunday’s A princess declaring war on Baroque Works to save her country… how pathetic!!! — Vivi’s identity activates as a war-fighting role, not just a hidden identity.
  • Believes Igaram is dead (p. 5 decoy-explosion + p. 18 “I’m putting you all in danger”).
  • First articulation of I-am-the-burden-on-the-Strawhats register (p. 18): “I…I’m not sure I should be here.” — opens the arc-long Vivi-as-burden / Vivi-as-ally tension.
  • Calls Zoro Mr. Bushido implicitly remains operational (carries from Ch. 110); does not re-confront the codename here.

Whisky Peak (Ch. 113) — It’s All Right — LOAD-BEARING BOSS-NAME REVEAL — Vivi names Sir Crocodile on-page as the Seven-Warlord boss of Baroque Works (page 9); first on-page kingdom-of-Alabasta history exposition (pages 7-9); the conquest-of-Alabasta mission is canonized; coordinates Igaram’s Eternal-Pose decoy plan; watches Igaram’s decoy ship destroyed offshore at chapter’s end

  • Vivi defects to the Straw Hat side in operational terms. Nami strong-arms a negotiation (page 5): “WE HAVE BUSINESS TO DISCUSS… WHAT SAY WE NEGOTIATE?” Vivi trades intelligence about Baroque Works for safe passage to Alabasta. The deep-cover loyalty-arc canonized through Ch. 0103-0110 fully pivots here — Vivi is no longer disguised, no longer pretending to be Baroque-Works-loyal; she is now an open ally.
  • LOAD-BEARING: Vivi names Sir Crocodile on-page as the Baroque-Works boss (page 9): ”…YOU’RE NO MATCH FOR SIR CROCODILE, ONE OF THE SEVEN WARLORDS OF THE SEA!!!” The reveal-grammar is comedic-blurt — Vivi has just refused to name the boss the panel before (“I CAN’T TELL YOU THE BOSS’S IDENTITY! WHAT A QUESTION! DON’T ASK ME THAT! I CAN’T!!”) and Nami coaches her not to (“that’s okay, don’t tell us”) — and she blurts the name anyway in defensive-outburst register. Zoro’s deadpan “You just told us…” canonizes the comic-reveal-pattern. This is the on-page payoff of the Baroque Works Boss Identity Mystery seed canonized at Ch. 0107. Cross-link Crocodile (new — first on-page utterance of the name).
  • First on-page exposition of Vivi’s infiltration-motive (pages 7-8): “I went to Igaram, who has looked after me since I was a child… I could then find out who was pulling the strings and learn his intentions. I hoped to find the source of the rumors… and infiltrate Baroque Works.” The Vivi-Igaram dual-undercover-operation is now contextualized as a princess-of-the-people counter-intelligence mission to expose the conqueror — not a passive royal-defense register. Cross-link Vivi is the Final Joy Boy Counterpart (evidence add — Vivi as active counter-agent, not passive Imu-target).
  • First on-page utterance of the Baroque-Works conquest-of-Alabasta objective (page 8): “THE TRUE AIM OF BAROQUE WORKS IS THE CONQUEST OF ALABASTA!!!” and “I’ve got to return to my land and stop the rebellion before my people throw themselves into Baroque Works’ clutches.” — the princess-of-the-people register is fully installed; pre-loads the Reverie / Imu-target-line forward-canon emotional arc.
  • Cites Crocodile’s pre-Warlord bounty as 80,000,000 berries (page 14) — “four times what Arlong was worth” per Sanji. Note: as a Warlord, Crocodile has no current bounty (Vivi page 13: “there’s no bounty on the boss, even though he’s one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea”) — first on-page canonization of the Warlord-bounty-suspension rule.
  • Offers 500,000 berries as escort payment (page 12): “I have about 500,000 berries saved up.” — the non-rich-princess characterization; Vivi’s wealth is far below her princess-status. Cross-link Nami (Nami’s “With your country in chaos, there’s no money to be made there” commentary, page 9).
  • Hands over the Alabasta Eternal Pose (pages 14-16) — Vivi gives Igaram her copy as the prop the decoy plan hinges on; the normal-route copy stays with the Straw Hats (implicit — Igaram explains they’ll use the Log-Pose stops via the normal route, pages 15-16). Cross-link Log Pose (Eternal-Pose-variant evidence add).
  • Watches Igaram’s decoy-ship explode offshore (page 17) — the chapter closes on Vivi covering her mouth in horror as the BOOM!!? registers. The die-for-the-princess loyalty doctrine canonized in Ch. 0110 is here re-keyed as decoy-sacrifice. Forward-canon: Igaram survives — but in-chapter the loss reads as definitive. The chapter installs the survivor’s-guilt-toward-Igaram register that recurs across the Alabasta saga.
  • Inner-monologue tier-reading of the Straw Hats (page 3): “What strength!! Who would’ve thought that men like these could still be found at the start of the Grand Line… INCREDIBLE!!” — first on-page Vivi-as-strategic-observer beat. Pre-loads her later Alabasta-saga role as the Straw Hats’ strategic-narrator of opposition.
  • Cross-link Baroque Works Boss Identity Mystery (paid off via this chapter — load-bearing), Crocodile (new), Alabasta (new — first on-page kingdom-history exposition).

Whisky Peak (Ch. 112)

  • Named Princess Vivi of Alabasta by the enemy mission-pursuit register (p. 6) — Mr. 5: “And finish Princess Vivi… of Alabasta.” First on-page Officer-Agent-utterance of her princess-identity in lethal-mission context (one chapter after the Ch. 110 reveal).
  • Functions as audience-stand-in shock-reaction-shot for Luffy’s one-stomp KO of Mr. 5 (p. 10): “That’s impossible!! How could he defeat an officer-agent of Baroque Works!?” — first time her in-canon-tier-awareness is used as the power-tier canonization vehicle for the Alabasta saga.
  • Re-deploys the Mr. Bushido nickname in combat-warning register (p. 9): “Mr. Bushido!! Move!! That woman is—” — confirming Ch. 110 origin-install as a persistent address-pattern.
  • Hiding behind cover with Karoo, unable to find escape-route through the Strawhat-demolished town (p. 15).

Whisky Peak (Ch. 111) — The Secret Criminal Organization — flees on Karoo through Sapoten Graveyard + Cactus Crag; calls Mr. Bushido! (third utterance); delivers the LOAD-BEARING Baroque-Works full-doctrine exposition-monologue (utopia + Mr. Zero + codename-hierarchy + below-5-elite pre-tell)

  • Flees through Sapoten Graveyard on Karoo (page 2) — first sustained mount-running combat-flight; Igaram chases on foot behind. The Sapoten Graveyard architecture is canonized as Roman-temple-coded (Greek columns + iron arch + gargoyle) — pre-loads Alabasta-saga’s ancient-civilization architectural register.
  • Pleads with Zoro to wake Luffy (pages 5-6) — appeals after Nami pivots to We’ll save your princess first. Zoro refuses; Nami extracts coerced cooperation via 300% interest on Loguetown sword-debt.
  • Third on-page utterance of MR. BUSHIDO! (page 13) — Zoro slices Mr. 5’s booger-projectile mid-flight; Vivi calls Mr. Bushido! in rescue-call register. The nickname now has three distinct on-page social-contexts — combat-opponent (Ch. 0109), ally-petition (Ch. 0110), rescue-call (Ch. 0111). Locks in the SBS Vol. 23 lifetime-permanent canonization. Cross-link Mr Bushido Nickname Origin Doctrine (now triple-context payoff).
  • LOAD-BEARING: Delivers the FULL Baroque-Works exposition-monologue (pages 15-16) — “It’s a secret criminal organization. Not a soul in it knows what the boss looks like. It mostly deals in espionage, assassination, theft, and bounty hunting. The boss tells everyone what to do. The ultimate goal of Baroque Works… is to create a utopia. Those of us who work for Baroque Works… have been promised high positions in that utopia. The higher your position, the more powerful you are! His code name is Mr. Zero. The closer your code name is to zero… Those with code names below five are especially dangerous. Their power is… immense.” This single monologue canonizes six load-bearing doctrines simultaneously: (1) Baroque Works = secret criminal organization; (2) operational portfolio = espionage / assassination / theft / bounty-hunting; (3) utopia-goal organizational telos; (4) Mr. Zero codename for the boss; (5) numeric-proximity-to-zero rank-hierarchy doctrine; (6) below-5-Officer-Agent-elite-tier pre-tell. The monologue is the structural-installer for the entire Alabasta-saga Officer-Agent reveal-cascade. Cross-link Baroque Works Utopia Goal Doctrine (new), Mr 0 Codename Boss Canonized (new), Below 5 Officer Agent Elite Tier Pre Tell (new), Imu Identity (utopia-rhetoric template-installer).
  • The Vivi-as-defected-Baroque-Works-insider register is fully canonized — Vivi delivers the monologue as an ex-insider explaining the organization to her new allies (Nami, Luffy, Zoro, Sanji). The Ch. 0110 princess-reveal + Ch. 0111 doctrine-monologue together effect Vivi’s on-page transition from Ms. Wednesday cover to Strawhat-allied insider-informant — completing the Alabasta-saga setup composition.

Whisky Peak (Ch. 110) — The Night Isn’t Over — LOAD-BEARING PRINCESS REVEAL — Miss Valentine names Vivi as Nefertari Vivi, the Princess of Alabasta on page 15 (first on-page utterance of the surname Nefertari in the series); Mr. 5 + Miss Valentine debut as Officer Agents; Igaram’s true name + Royal-Guard-Commander identity revealed; Karoo first carries Vivi at top speed; Vivi coins/echoes Mr. Bushido in the escape

  • LOAD-BEARING: First on-page utterance of the name Nefertari Vivi and the first canonical identification as Princess of Alabasta (page 15). Miss Valentine, holding up Vivi’s photograph: “NEFELTARI VIVI!!! THE PRINCESS OF ALABASTA…” Vivi’s reaction (“YOU FIEND!”) confirms. This is the seed-anchor for the entire Nefertari-name-encoding foreshadowing — and the chapter where the Imu-target identity is named on-page, ~803 chapters before Imu first defaces Vivi’s bounty poster (Ch. 906) and ~1069 chapters before Imu declares I want Vivi (Ch. 1179).
  • Vivi and Igaram are revealed as Alabasta-royal-agents infiltrating Baroque Works (page 11): “agents of a certain monarchy have infiltrated Baroque Works” — Mr. 5’s monologue is the first canonization of the undercover-royal-agents-inside-BW dual-identity that has driven Vivi’s Ch. 103-109 disguise behavior.
  • Mr. 5’s Mystery doctrine delivered to Vivi/Igaram (pages 10-11): “We never reveal the identity of any of our people. Our organization’s motto is ‘Mystery.’ And especially not the boss’s.” The reveal-asymmetry is the chapter’s central composition: Baroque Works opens its mouth to identify Vivi (princess reveal) at the same moment it closes its mouth about itself (boss-identity doctrine).
  • Igaram knocked unconscious by Mr. 5’s booger-cannon (pages 12-17); Vivi witnesses the attack first-hand. Igaram survives — barely — and on page 19 begs Sanji and Zoro to escort Vivi to Alabasta, offering a handsome reward. This is the escort-contract premise for the rest of the Whisky Peak arc into Little Garden.
  • Vivi re-invokes Mr. Bushido for Zoro on-page in the escape (page 18) — the Ch. 109 nickname-install (per Mr Bushido Nickname Origin Doctrine) is now re-keyed by Vivi in a new social context (no longer combat-opponent register; ally-petition register). Per Volume 23 SBS, the nickname is canonized as lifetime-permanent.
  • Karoo first carries Vivi at top speed (page 18): KAROO!!! / KAROO RUN!! / TWO-LEGGED HORSE!! — first on-page mount-running demonstration. The comedic-incompetent register from Ch. 109 (sits on Mr. 9 by mistake; flies the wrong direction) is now augmented with an earnest-combat-tier mount-running beat that pre-loads Karoo’s full Alabasta-saga combat-mount role.
  • Mr. 5 + Miss Valentine introduced as Officer Agents (page 5) with rank-card panels — first on-page reveal of the Officer Agent tier (above Frontier Agents). Cross-link Mr. 5 (new), Miss Valentine (new), Bomu Bomu no Mi (new).
  • Cross-link Nefertari Vivi Princess Identity Revealed On Page (new — load-bearing), Mr Bushido Nickname Origin Doctrine (new — SBS-canonized), Karoo Spot-Billed Duck Mount Companion Debut (new), Nefertari D Family (new), Vivi - name foreshadows Egyptian-queen lineage and Imu-target heir (now Ch. 0110 evidence added).

Whisky Peak (Ch. 109) — A Question of Duty — first on-page combat encounter with the Straw Hats; mounted on Karoo; named attacks Peacock Slasher and Vertigo Dance; holds unconscious Luffy hostage; coins Mr. Bushido nickname for Zoro; what is he? some kinda toy!? — first on-page doubt about her own faction; Zoro extracts her from Baroque-Works combat-formation

  • First on-page combat encounter with the Straw Hats in her Baroque-Works alias-disguise as Ms. Wednesday — ponytailed blonde in dark fur-collared ankle-length dress with bullseye-spiral pattern wardrobe accents.
  • Mounts Karoo (THE ULTRA SPOTBILL) as her giant-spotbill-duck combat-mount (pages 4-5). First on-page introduction of Karoo — caption-tag KAROO / THE ULTRA SPOTBILL. Karoo sits on Mr. 9 by mistake (“Hey! Who told you to sit!?”).
  • First named attack — Vertigo Dance (page 9), spinning hypnotic-pattern via spiral-wardrobe distraction-attack.
  • Second named attack — Peacock Slasher (page 10): “And now for the finale… All right, Karoo!! Peacock Slasher!!!” Karoo launches peacock-feather-patterned throwing-blades from saddle-gear; flies the wrong direction (“You’re going the wrong way!!!” — page 11).
  • Coins the Mr. Bushido nickname for Zoro (page 9, with on-page VIZ translator footnote “*Bushido means ‘the way of the samurai’ in Japanese.”): “You want someone worth fighting!? That would be me!! Prepare to die, Mr. Bushido!!” First-utterance install of a nickname canonized as lifetime-permanent per Vol-23 SBS. Cross-link Bushido Asterisk Translation Note (new), Zoro SBS-Vol-23 callout.
  • Holds unconscious Luffy hostage at peacock-blade-point (page 14) — Zoro: “Fool. At least be awake when you’re taken hostage!!” (page 15).
  • First on-page doubt about her own faction (page 16) — “What is he? Some kinda toy!?” — Igaram’s friendly-fire saxophone-shotgun blast hits through her position to reach Zoro. The shock-reaction is the seed of her eventual defection from Baroque Works — Vivi visibly registers that her own teammate would sacrifice her to win.
  • Extracted from Baroque-Works combat-formation by Zoro (page 17) — Zoro physically removes her from the impact-zone via rope-cutting maneuver, displacing her from her cohort. Literal-grammar foreshadow of her arc-long defection-trajectory — Zoro will, narratively, repeat this extraction across the Alabasta arc-sequence. Cross-link Vivi Undercover Identity Long Burn.
  • Combat-aesthetic-as-identity-leak: the chapter installs Vivi’s Baroque-Works combat-grammar (bullseye-spirals, peacock-feather projectiles, ponytailed-noble bearing, giant-bird mount) as literally encoding her secret royal-Alabasta identity. A careful reader can decode the disguise from the aesthetic. Cross-link Ms Wednesday Peacock Slasher Attack (new), Vivi - name foreshadows Egyptian-queen lineage and Imu-target heir.

Whisky Peak (Ch. 108) — 100 Bounty Hunters — In Ms. Wednesday disguise as Frontier Agent of Baroque Works; alone deduces sleeping Luffy is the real 30M-berry captain

  • Present at Whisky Peak in Ms. Wednesday disguise as one of the named Baroque Works Frontier Agents alongside Mr. 9, Ms. Monday, Mr. 8/Igaram, and the 100-cohort. Wears spiral Wednesday coif, full makeup, Western fur-collar coat; her duck-mount Karoo not yet shown on-page this chapter (carried forward from Ch. 107).
  • Alone in the cohort, deduces that the sleeping straw-hatted boy in the back room is the real Luffy (page 19): “VERY WELL, THEN LET’S FIGHT HIM LIKE HE IS ONE! HE MUST BE THE REAL CAPTAIN! I CAN SEE HOW THIS GUY COULD BE WORTH 30 MILLION BERRIES. THE NAVY GOT THE WANTED POSTER WRONG! IT’S ALL CLEAR TO ME NOW!” / “IT SEEMED WEIRD THAT A GOOD-NATURED KID LIKE HIM… …WOULD BE WORTH 30 MILLION!” Installs Vivi-as-strategist-behind-the-disguise — her tactical-reading is better than the rest of her cohort’s. Pre-loads the Vivi-is-undercover-spying-on-Baroque-Works reveal a few chapters forward. Cross-link Vivi - name foreshadows Egyptian-queen lineage and Imu-target heir, Bounty Threshold Reveals Luffy Tier Mismatch.

Whisky Peak (Ch. 107) — Moonlight and Tombstones — welcome-trap springs; Ms. Wednesday at the Baroque-Works debrief; Luffy 30M bounty registers on-page at Baroque tactical radar

  • Continuing on-page presence as Miss Wednesday (pages 6, 8-9, 11) in her full Baroque-Works cover-persona: wavy curly hair, blue kerchief headband, low-cut blouse with bare midriff, long flowing skirt.
  • Paired-agent with Mr. 9 in the Whisky Peak operation, both subordinate to Igaram (now self-revealed as Mr. 8 in the saloon-backroom debrief on page 10). Assigned mission per the cell debrief: secure the food shipment for the town and report progress to the Baroque Works boss via the Unluckies courier mailbox (page 6).
  • Reacts with shock to Luffy’s 30M-berry WANTED poster (page 11): “Thirty million berries!!?” — first on-page reaction-shot of a Baroque-Works agent registering the Luffy bounty. Cross-link Luffy First Bounty Thirty Million.
  • Caught in Igarappoi’s friendly-fire saxophone-shotgun discharge during Zoro’s rooftop ambush (page 17, IGARAPPA!!!): the wide-cone blast hits the Baroque agents themselves, demonstrating that Vivi-as-Wednesday is inside the trap’s blast-radius alongside her own teammates — a tell of the covertly-on-the-Straw-Hat-side register that lands on full reveal later in the arc.
  • True identity (Princess Nefertari Vivi of Alabasta, undercover with her royal-guard captain Igaram to infiltrate Baroque Works) is not yet revealed in Ch. 107 — reserved for later chapters in the Whisky Peak arc.

Whisky Peak / Cactus Island (Ch. 106) — Town of Welcome — on-the-Going-Merry-as-Ms.-Wednesday debut; deep-cover persona installed; chapter ends as the Straw Hats arrive at Whisky Peak and Igarappoi (Igaram disguise) proposes the trap-celebration

  • Continuing on-page presence as Ms. Wednesday on the Going Merry’s deck (pages 9-13). Blue-haired young woman in casual sleeveless heart-pattern top + jeans + light-blue feathered sash. Crown-prince hat is Mr. 9’s, NOT hers (clarification — Mr. 9 has the crown-shaped hat).
  • Self-introduces under the Baroque Works codename grammar (page 10): “And I’m MS. WEDNESDAY.” — no royal markers, no real name, no mention of Alabasta or her mission against Crocodile. The deep-cover persona is the deep-cover-long-burn install. Cross-link Vivi Undercover Identity Long Burn (new).
  • Departs the Going Merry by diving off with Mr. 9 (page 13): “Bye-bye, baby!” — swimming back to Cactus Island. Pair-departure from the Going Merry into off-page transit to Whisky Peak.
  • Codename-pair Mr. 9 / Ms. Wednesday is installed without naming the parent organization. The reader receives no in-text disclosure that Wednesday belongs to the Baroque Works Ms.-Day-of-Week system; only the codename-grammar is visible. Cross-link Baroque Works Mr-Number Miss-Day-of-Week Naming Grammar, Mr 9 Ms Wednesday Baroque Pair-Coded Codename Pattern.
  • Vivi’s true identity (Princess Nefertari Vivi of Alabasta) is concealed at full strength. No royal lineage, no real name, no mission against Crocodile on-page. The chapter is the structural floor of the Vivi-arc — the maximum-possible-distance from her eventual “I want Vivi” status in Ch. 1179. Cross-link Imu Identity (seed-floor evidence).

Reverse Mountain / Twin Cape (Ch. 105) — Log Pose chapter — Ms. Wednesday articulates the Baroque-Works Mystery motto; Unluckies (Mr. 13 / Ms. Friday) attack the pair for mission failure; Vivi climbs aboard the Going Merry — first time embedded in the Straw Hat ship composition

  • Princess-of-Alabasta identity NOT revealed on this page — Ms. Wednesday is on-deck across the chapter without any panel, caption, or dialogue indexing her royal identity. The chapter is scripted to be unreadable as royal on first read; the disguise-mode debut is the inverse compositional grammar of her later reveal. Cross-link Ms Wednesday Vivi Baroque Disguise Debut (new).
  • Washes up on the Twin Cape beach after Laboon ka-bumps her ship (carried over from Ch. 104 ejection); pair re-encountered by the Straw Hats with Crocus.
  • First on-page articulation of the Baroque Works Mystery motto (page 17): “Our company’s motto is Mystery. It’s not our fault! Our work requires us to be secretive!” — the codename-pair structure (Mr-Number + Ms-Day-of-Week) is now joined by an explicit secrecy-as-organizational-doctrine tell. Cross-link Baroque Works Mystery Motto Doctrine (new).
  • Attacked by Mr. 13 / Ms. Friday (the Unluckies) for the Log Pose mission failure (pages 13-15); saved by the Straw Hats’ intervention. Cross-link Mr 13 Ms Friday Unluckies Punishment Squad Debut (new).
  • Climbs aboard the Going Merry with Mr. 9 to be taken to Whisky Peak (page 16: “It’s the name of our town.”) — first time Vivi is embedded in the Straw Hat ship composition (pages 17-18). Luffy: “You can come with us. It’s okay.” Vivi (in disguise) on-deck with the crew at chapter close — a pre-installation moment one full arc before her canonical temporary-nakama induction in the Alabasta arc. Cross-link Vivi Slot Pre-Installed In Strawhat Mealtable Composition (new), Straw Hat Recruitment Pattern.

Reverse Mountain (Ch. 104) — Continues as Ms. Wednesday on the Twin Cape; Baroque-Works pair-coded operative; tossed out of Laboon by the Straw Hats; the organization will be very interested in them exit-line

  • Continuing on-page presence as Ms. Wednesday (page 3-4). Pair-coded Baroque-Works codename format: blonde-with-crown, blue tank-top, striped tights, cape, dual saber/scimitar at hip. The reader is not informed in this chapter that Ms. Wednesday is Vivi — the disguise-revelation pays off ~Ch. 113-114.
  • Paired with Mr. 9 (Baroque-Works pair-coded operative). The pair has come to Laboon’s territory on a get-the-whale objective; both are tossed out of Laboon’s stomach by the Straw Hats’ arrival.
  • Articulates the organization line (page 4): “That’s right, Mr. 9. The organization will be very interested in them.” — first on-page reference to Baroque Works (not yet named as such by name). Vivi is operationally embedded in Baroque-Works as an undercover Princess (the framing the Vivi - name foreshadows Egyptian-queen lineage and Imu-target heir note pre-loads).
  • Pair-shout grudge against Crocus + Laboon (page 4): “Just you wait! …And Crocus! One day, we’ll get that whale!” — the whale-as-organization-target line is the pair’s parting threat.
  • Cross-link Mr. 9, Baroque Works, Mr 9 Ms Wednesday Baroque Pair-Coded Codename Pattern (new).

Reverse Mountain (Ch. 103)

Post-War — Alabasta (Ch. 593)

  • At Alubarna, Vivi reads the morning newspaper about Luffy in her room and is left confused: “This is Luffy we’re talking about… Is this some kind of fashion statement? No, it can’t be” (p. 16). Karoo beside her.

The broadcast era (Ch. 1116)

  • Appears on a “MISSING” poster (caption “NEFERTA[RI]”) amid the worldwide reaction to Vegapunk’s message — still unaccounted-for since the Reverie. (p. 3)

Post-Egghead — with Morgans & Wapol (Ch. 1124) — shown

  • Alive and traveling with Morgans and Wapol aboard the WEJ balloon-ship. Defies Morgans over the falsified Egghead news (“the intelligent people of the world won’t be manipulated by your lies!”) even as Wapol warns “we have nowhere to go if we make him angry”; declares “if the world is going to be destroyed, I don’t expect to live through it anyway” (pp. 2–3).
