Profile
A tame, saddled camel that joins the Strawhat-Vivi party in the Sandora Desert (Ch. 162 pp. 11-15). Originally fleeing the giant Sandora dragon; rescued when Zoro+Sanji one-cut the dragon (pp. 12-13). Chopper translates that he was ‘just passing through’ and ‘thanks you for saving him’ — he’s ‘willing to give rides… but only to women’ (p. 15). Gender-discrimination mount — refuses to carry Luffy/Sanji/Usopp/Zoro; carries only Vivi and Nami. Named Eyelashes by Vivi after his prominent eyelashes.
Arc-by-arc updates
Alabasta — Supersonic Duck Quiz (Ch. 181) — Vivi-decoy-cape participant; the camel-as-strategic-decoy reveal
- Vivi-decoy-cape participant under a princess-cape (p. 17). Eyelashes (camel, cape thrown back, tears streaming, GRMPF DAZE): ”…CAMEL!!” / “S-SORRY!!!” / “AAAH!! AAAH!! GRMPF!!” — even Eyelashes-the-camel carried a princess-cape for the decoy-squad. First on-page Eyelashes-as-strategic-decoy participant — the comic-animal-companion is operationally a Strawhat-tier tactical asset.
- The decoy-emotional-overload register: Eyelashes immediately apologizes through tears for being part of the decoy-trick — emotional-honesty-under-tactical-deception is the camel’s character-signature.
- Cross-link Vivi (decoy-target identity), Bon Clay (decoy-trick target).
Alabasta — Sandora Riverside (Ch. 180) — Alabasta Animal Land — summons Pincers the Crab Mover; Sanji’s dance-girl-lure goes through Eyelashes-the-camel
- Summons Pincers the Crab Mover (Ch. 180 pp. 11-13). Eyelashes-the-camel locates a giant red-and-white desert Crab Mover named Pincers to ferry the Strawhats across the Sandora River. The crab is initially reluctant (“WE CAN’T CROSS THE RIVER ON THIS CRAB?!” — water-averse desert-fauna); Sanji’s swimsuit-photo POWER OF LOVE lure unlocks top-speed water-walking. The Eyelashes-summons-Pincers pairing pre-loads the broader Vivi names her animal companions / Vivi’s animal-network spans the desert pattern. Cross-link Pincers Kung-Fu-Style Crab-Mover Eyelashes-Dance Speed Trigger (new), Vivi Names Her Animal Companions Pattern (Ch. 180 extension evidence add).
Alabasta — Rainbase escape (Ch. 176) — Summons giant Crab-Mover friend; hometown-network revealed
- LOAD-BEARING — summons a giant Crab Mover (Ch. 176 pp. 15-17). The Strawhats need fast desert-transit to Alubarna; Eyelashes wanders off (Chopper: “Hey, where’d Eyelashes go?!”) and returns with a giant sand-burrowing crab-friend (DA-DOOM!!). Vivi confirms: “This is Eyelashes’ hometown! He has lots of friends around here!!”. First on-page Eyelashes-hometown-friend-network beat — Eyelashes is established as not just a camel-mount but as a logistics-node with an Alabasta-endemic-animal-Rolodex. Cross-link Eyelashes Camel Crab Mover Friend Network Sand-Crab Reveal (new).
- Hometown-of-Eyelashes implicitly established as somewhere in/near Rainbase (Ch. 176 p. 17). Vivi: “This is Eyelashes’ hometown!” — the camel has a regional origin in the Rainbase area. First on-page Eyelashes-biographical-detail.
- Cross-link Vivi (Eyelashes’ partner), Tony Tony Chopper (Crab-Mover co-rider), Rainbase (hometown).
Alabasta (Ch. 162) — debut + naming + only-rides-women gag-template
- Debut (p. 11) — fleeing the giant Sandora dragon across the Sandora dunes.
- Saved by the Strawhats (pp. 12-13) — Zoro+Sanji one-cut the dragon; the camel survives.
- Translates as polite-but-misogynist (p. 15) — ‘He’s willing to give rides… but only to women.’ (Chopper translating). Gender-discrimination mount-template installed.
- Named Eyelashes by Vivi (p. 15) — ‘I know, I’ll call you ‘Eyelashes.’ / ‘That’s the weirdest one yet.’ (Sanji-team grumbling: ‘Jerk.’ / ‘Moron.’ / ‘Idiot.’ — ‘I know!’ × 3.)
- Carries Vivi and Nami toward Yuba (pp. 16-19) — ditches the men mid-desert.
- Cross-link Vivi (rider + namer), Karoo (Vivi’s other on-page mount-companion), Vivi Names Her Animal Companions Pattern (new).
