Reverie — first sight of the surface sun (Ch. 905)

• Travels up the Red Line by bondola with her father and brothers; crowds marvel at the “Mermaid Princess.” Sees the open sky and the sun for the first time and weeps — “Father… it is the sun!! …What a beautiful world!!!” — noting the Sun Tree’s glow on the ocean floor “is nothing compared to this” (pp. 7, 12-14).
• Asks Neptune if she could one day live on the surface; he answers it is the very reason for attending this Reverie (p. 14).

Reverie / Levely (Ch. 903)

Zou / Reverie prelude (Ch. 823)

Fish-Man Island — Noah aftermath (Ch. 648)

• Consciously commands the Sea Kings for the first time on-page: she halts the ark Noah so Luffy cannot destroy it, speaking with the Neptunians (pp. 2-4).
• The Sea Kings name her their sovereign queen — born once every few centuries — and reveal Noah “was built for us to pull, for you to be born” (p. 2).
• Onlookers declare “the power great enough to destroy the world… has finally awakened” (p. 3) — the Poseidon vector. (Name not spoken — forward.)

• Cries out to stop Noah (pp. 12-13: “STOP THIS AT ONCE!!!”). The falling ark has already been halted: the giant Sea Kings (Neptunians) she called have caught Noah’s chains in their jaws (p. 14).
• The Sea Kings reveal she summoned them — “you were guided by the Straw Hat boy’s powerful desire… and prayed… that Princess Shirahoshi called us” (p. 17) — and that “our power is your power.” Her Neptunian-control ability is shown here as directable, not merely the unconscious trauma-rampage of the childhood flashback. • Frets over the bloodied Luffy (p. 16); credits herself with “only” crying, yet it was her prayer that saved both island and ship.

• Watches Hody decay in fear (p. 3) but, instead of fleeing Noah, resolves “I-I will!!” — to stay and fight beside Luffy, who promises “Stay by my side, and I’ll make sure you don’t get hurt” (p. 18).

Fish-Man Island — the decoy run (mentioned) (Ch. 642)

• (Mentioned, off-page) Lured the ark Noah away from Fish-Man Island as a self-sacrificing decoy, risking her own life to buy the citizens time to evacuate (pp. 4-5). The people refuse to flee rather than waste her sacrifice.

Fish-Man Island — offers herself as the target (Ch. 641)

• Clinging to the falling Noah, begs the ark to stop (“Please, Noah, stop!!”) and then offers herself as Decken’s homing target — “Lord Decken, if you are alive, please set your target on me again!! Just spare Fish-Man Island!!” (p. 5) — a willing self-sacrifice to draw Noah clear of the island. Recognizes Fukaboshi’s voice on the Den Den Mushi (p. 19).

Fish-Man Island — the lure for Noah (Ch. 640)

• As Decken’s decade-locked target, she is run/carried to draw the falling ark Noah away from the island (“Shirahoshi’s getting away to the side”, p.16). Decken re-aims Noah and vows “it’ll be me that kills—” her (p.17). See Vander Decken Mark-Mark Curse Homing-Weapon Threat To Shirahoshi.

Fish-Man Island — seized by Hody, freed by her brother (Ch. 639)

• Targeted by both Hody and Decken. Grabbed by Hody despite her top mermaid speed (pp. 8–9) — “no match for me in this state!!” — then freed by her brother Fukaboshi’s “Snake Shot.”
• Cries “Brothers!!” as the princes move to defend her.

Fish-Man Island — fleeing the homing ark (Ch. 638)

• Hunted by Noah itself. Decken has slaved the colossal ark Noah to his Mark-Mark homing curse; Shirahoshi flees the relentlessly-pursuing ship through the open sea (pp. 2-3, 9-12).
• Self-sacrifice: she deliberately draws Noah away from Fish-Man Island so the ark cannot crash into the island — “The princess drew the ship away from the island for our sake!!” (p. 2).
• Rejects Decken’s renewed marriage ultimatum one final time — “You’re just not my type!!” (p. 12); reunited mid-flight with her brothers Fukaboshi, Ryuboshi, Manboshi (p. 13).

Fish-Man Island — self-sacrifice to lure the ark away (Ch. 637)

• Slips away from Conchcorde Plaza and swims into the open on her own to draw the homing ark off the island — “I am right here!!” / “Isn’t my very life your TARGET?!! …all for the sake of stealing my solitary life!! Do not do it!! …do not destroy the entire Ryugu Kingdom” (pp. 13-15). The crowd: “she’s giving herself up for our sake!!” (p. 16).
• The ark turns off-course to follow her; Luffy dives after to protect her — “I’m leaving dear sweet Shirahoshi in your hands, Luffy!!” (Jinbei, p. 19).

Fish-Man Island — guarded by Surume (Ch. 636)

• Entrusted by Luffy to the Kraken Surume’s protection during the plaza battle; nearly crushed when the New Fish-Man Pirates coerce Surume via its hostage brother, then spared once Luffy frees the Kraken (pp. 2, 14-16). (last_appearance advances 0635→0636.)

Fish-Man Island — the plaza-approach battle (Ch. 635)

• The New Fish-Man Pirates’ express target (“Artillery Unit!! Target Princess Shirahoshi!” p. 5; “Kill Princess Shirahoshi!!” p. 9). Defended by Brook (who scolds them for hurting “the world’s favorite Mermaid Princess”) and Sanji (“you’ll have to go through me first!”). Reacts to the battle (“Oh!”).

Fish-Man Island — keeper of the secret; “graduated from wimpy” (Ch. 634)

• Revealed to have silently carried the secret of Otohime’s death for years; apologizes (“It’s all because I kept that secret”), and Jinbei honors her forbearance, telling her the bud of peace will yet blossom (pp. 8–11).
• Hands over “the document Mother left behind” (p. 8) — the petition/Celestial-Dragon document central to the Reverie emigration plan.

• Frets over the Luffy-vs-Jinbei fight, calling out to both (“Luffy! Big Boss Jimbei!”, p. 2-3).

Fish-Man Island — the power Hody fears (Ch. 628)

• At the Forest of the Sea she tries to ride Megalo to help her captured father; Jinbei stops her and names her ability — summoning the Neptunians (Sea Kings) — as the thing Hody fears most (pp. 17-18). She has never spoken to a Neptunian and doubts the power is real. See Ancient Weapons.

Fish-Man Island flashback + present bonding (Ch. 627)

• Flashback, age six: repeatedly received love letters from the pirate Vander Decken that found her wherever she went — “Shirahoshi is only six!” (p. 8); the homing tell that later becomes Decken’s decade-long Mark-Mark pursuit. See Vander Deckens Love Letters Always Reach Shirahoshi.
• Present day: bonds with Nami over their lost mothers — “I feel so at peace around you, Miss Namichin”; “I guess we have some things in common” (p. 16).

Fish-Man Island — Otohime flashback (Ch. 626) — named the Neptunian-speaking mermaid

• In Queen Otohime’s telling of the royal legend (pp. 9-11), Shirahoshi is confirmed to be the once-in-a-few-centuries mermaid who can command the Neptunians (Sea Kings) — she summoned them as a small child and “is not aware of this power, nor can she control it.” See Shirahoshi Unconsciously Summons The Neptunians Poseidon Legend, Ancient Weapons, Sea Kings.

Fish-Man Island — Otohime flashback, age 6 (Ch. 625) — the Poseidon mechanic, shown before it is named

• Data box: Shirahoshi (age 6) (p. 9); asks “What’s a Celestial Dragon, brother?”
• Unconsciously summons a host of giant Neptunians (Sea Kings) in terror (pp. 11-14) — the on-page realization of the legend that “a mermaid princess had the uncanny ability to control Neptunians.” First demonstration of the Poseidon Ancient-Weapon mechanic. Fish-Man Island — the infant princess (flashback, Ch. 621)

• “Fish-Man Island, 16 years ago.” Shown as a baby, the infant mermaid princess and youngest child of Queen Otohime and King Neptune, greeting her returning mother at the palace (p. 10). Otohime: “Oh, Shirahoshi, you always bring me such peace of mind.” Pays continuing development of Mermaid Princess Of Fish-Man Island Mentioned.

Fish-Man Island — at the Sea Forest; her mother’s tomb (Ch. 619)

• Carried by Luffy to the Forest of the Sea; nicknamed “Wimpy” by Nami for her crybaby nature (p. 11).

Fish-Man Island (Ch. 618) — rejects Decken; flees toward the Forest of the Sea

• On the run with the Straw Hats; a constant crybaby. Vander Decken confronts her in person, proposing marriage while threatening death; she flatly rejects him — “You’re just not my type!” (p. 7).
• Decken has hunted her with thrown weapons “for ten years” (p. 8). She agrees to “stay right here” so Luffy can protect her (pp. 8-9), then unties her pet shark Megalo and flees toward the Forest of the Sea (“But I’ll be back before dinner!”, p. 13).

Fish-Man Island — exposed at Coral Hill (Ch. 617)

• Hidden inside the mouth of her shark Megalo (bloated like a “pufferfish”), she begs him to close his mouth so she isn’t seen (p. 15): “I mustn’t let them see me!”

Fish-Man Island (Ch. 615) — the first outing in ten years

• Sneaks out of Ryugu Castle for the first time in ten years, hidden inside Megalo’s mouth with Luffy; the palace mistakes her absence for a kidnapping and declares a national emergency (pp. 1-3).
• Revealed as the decade-long target of Vander Decken IX’s Mark-Mark Curse — he touched her ten years ago and his palm has been locked onto her ever since (p. 13).

Fish-Man Island (Ch. 614) — leaves the tower with Luffy

• Her giant pet shark Megalo swallows her and Luffy whole to ferry them out of the besieged Ryugu Castle (p. 17).

Fish-Man Island (Ch. 613) — met in person; names herself

• Met by Luffy in Shell Tower. Foraging for food, Luffy ends up in her sealed tower room via Megalo; he knocks Vander Decken IX’s homing axe out of the air (p. 5) and she covers for him with the guards, hiding him.
• Names herself on-page: “My name is Shirahoshi! … I am the daughter of King Neptune!” (p. 10) — the first time the narrative names her in person. Explains the “Mark-Mark curse” that keeps her confined (Mato Mato no Mi) and that Megalo is her “dearest friend” (“I only have Megalo to talk to”).
• Teased to tears and laughter by Luffy, who calls her a “big weakling and a crybaby” and resolves to take her outside despite the curse — “If anything else comes flying at you, I’ll just knock it down! • First appearance. Named on p. 14 (King Neptune asks “How is Shirahoshi doing now?”); revealed on p. 18 as a colossal mermaid when Luffy blunders into her sealed dark chamber in Ryugu Castle and steps on her.
• Declares herself the daughter of King Neptune and “not afraid,” then immediately panics and cries for her father and brothers; the meeting ends on a dramatic “BA-BUMP” (pp. 19-20).
