Ch. 215 — Last Waltz: Luffy-face feint as a self-sacrifice decoy

Ch. 215 pp. 16-20: Bon Clay deploys the Mane Mane no Mi’s Luffy-face copy (from his Ch. 0156 face-library) as a decoy feint — wearing Luffy’s face on his swan-ship deck to bait Hina’s pursuing fleet (p. 16): “This straw hat Luffy you’re looking for… is it me?! …Just kidding.” — then drops the disguise. First on-page Mane-Mane-deployed-as-self-sacrifice-decoy beat — the fruit’s identity-warfare grammar (deception against the Strawhats, Chs. 0176-0188) is here inverted to deception for the Strawhats: Bon Clay uses Luffy’s face to draw the Navy onto himself so the real crew escapes. The Ch. 156 mechanic-demo canonized the full-face-copy + memory-function subsystem. Ch. 187 pp. 13-14 extend the fruit’s mechanic into part-mosaic combinatorics: Bon Clay can cycle individual face-parts (eyes / nose / mouth / head) from the user’s permanent memory-library and assemble them into a Clone-Clone Montage mosaic-face. Caption: FOR THE FIRST TIME ANYWHERE— THE CLONE-CLONE MONTAGE!! — first on-page demonstration of part-mosaic Mane Mane combinatorics. In the same chapter (pp. 16-17), the fruit’s identity-warfare-grade chivalry-trap deployment lands operationally: Bon Clay morphs into Nami’s face mid-Sanji-kill-strike to weaponize Sanji’s chivalry-toward-women axiom. Ch. 181 update — Vivi-impersonation operational at Alubarna’s colonnade

The Mane Mane no Mi’s first live operational deployment as a Vivi-impersonation lands at Ch. 181 pp. 14-17. Bon Clay (in princess-cape, with Vivi’s face + voice + finger-to-chin posture + ♥-bubble register): “YOU HAVE GOOD INTUITION. YES!! I AM INDEED PRINCESS VIVI!! ♥” The face-library has a stored Vivi-face — implied to have been acquired either (a) at the Ch. 156 fishing-line encounter on the Merry, (b) at the Spiders Café Ch. 157 Officer-Agent assembly, or (c) via the torn-Vivi-photo handoff in Ch. 180 (the photograph functions as the touch-substrate for the face-load mechanic, rather than face-to-face skin-contact).

The Strawhats deploy a multi-decoy cape-stack as the Mane-Mane-Counter-Counter — five Vivis on five Supersonic Ducks split toward five Alubarna gates, overloading the BW Officer-Agent ambush composition’s eliminate-Vivi kill-list. The fruit’s identity-warfare deployment is mirrored back at the BW ambush as an information-overload-of-the-prime-target tactical engine. The X-mark left-arm fellowship-sign (Ch. 157 install) is operationally visible on Chopper’s X-marked hat-band in the colonnade reveal (p. 16) — the fellowship-sign is the recognition-tell that distinguishes real-Strawhats from Bon-Clay-impersonations.

• The fruit’s identity-warfare-grade classification places it in a small Paramecia sub-class with the Hito Hito no Mi (transformation-to-other), the Doku Doku no Mi (substance generation), and the Ito Ito no Mi (puppet-strings) — Paramecias whose tactical-deployment outweighs their raw combat-power.

Mr. 1: “Anyway, the most important thing is to get rid of the princess, right?!” The Mane Mane no Mi face-copy mechanic (demonstrated Ch. 0156 against Luffy + others) is operationally redeployed as the forward-canon Alubarna-chase impersonation engine. The photo-handoff is the pre-tell of the Bon Clay impersonates Vivi set-piece.

The Ch. 156 mechanic-demo introduced the fruit without naming it. Ch. 157 p. 8 lands the first on-page dialogue utterance of the fruit’s name: Vivi briefs the Strawhats on Bon Clay’s perfect-impersonation capability; Sanji repeats the name back as “clone-clone fruit transformations.” In the same chapter (pp. 9-11), the crew installs the X-mark / left-arm fellowship-sign as the operational countermeasure — a fresh visual mark applied after the user’s last possible touch-copy is the one thing the fruit cannot duplicate. The name and the counter land in a single chapter, anchored by Vivi’s first-hand intel-source register.
