Summary
Cover-art (p. 1): Django’s Dance Heaven, Vol. 20: “The Attack of Captain Eureka’s Tulip Pirates” — a new tulip-themed pirate captain installment in the Django cover-arc.
In-story (pp. 2-5), the Drum villagers shuttle the wounded Dalton up the mountain in a ropeway carriage on what used to be Dr. Kureha’s old house line — a back-route to Drum Castle the regime never knew about. The carriage view of the snowy peaks (“What a great view.”) intercuts to a Wapol-regime torture flashback: chained Dalton beaten by Wapol’s metal-jawed Munch-Munch face (GACK / KRUNCH / STOMP) for refusing to bow. “Just say you’re sorry, and I’ll forgive you, Dalton.” Dalton, in present-day, snaps: “Who cares about the king!!? Who cares about status!!?”
At Drum Castle peak (pp. 6-8), Wapol confronts Luffy and Chopper. “The Drum Kingdom is…ugh!!…a member of the World Government! You’ve committed an international crime!!!” — first on-page articulation that Drum Kingdom is a WG member-state. Luffy ignores the legal complaint (“I don’t care about that either.”). Wapol attempts to swallow Luffy whole — “Just try and eat me!” — and Luffy grabs his head. Wapol transforms his tongue into a metal cannon (TWOING) and fires it down his own throat at point-blank: “Not yet!! Munch-Munch Mutation!!! TONGUE CANNON!!!” (CHUNK) — first on-page tongue-cannon body-weapon mutation.
Cut to Drum Castle exterior (pp. 9-12) — the rest of the party watches the castle distantly while Vivi sobs at the power and order register Chess once preached (Ch. 142 flashback intercut): “Power and order are all that matter.” Vivi: “Who cares about power and order!!! What’s so wrong about wanting your country to have a heart!!?” — first on-page Vivi-political-doctrine-articulator beat. The ropeway carriage finally reaches the castle; Dalton reveals his dynamite vest under his coat (p. 12): “I want you all to take cover. Now listen, people, when we get there and I enter the castle… DYNAMITE!!!”
Back at the castle peak (pp. 13-19), Wapol drops his guard mid-laugh; Luffy (in tongue-cannon-aftermath) yanks Wapol’s tongue like a bowstring (FWO…ING / FWAP FWAP, pp. 14-15). Chopper releases the line — Luffy is launched skyward as the Gum-Gum Bowgun (WOOINGG, p. 17) — “If you’re not willing to put your life on the line… then don’t ever touch the skull and crossbones!!!” (WHAM!!!, p. 16). Wapol counter-escalates into a Bazooka mode — “BAZOOKA!!!” / “HOW ABOUT VICE KING?” — chapter ends mid-blast (p. 19).
