Vivi orders the Royal Guard to DESTROY THE PALACE at Alubarna (Ch. 188 pp. 2-3). The 4,000-year-old palace-as-civilizational-monument is overridden by Princess Vivi’s exercise of acting-monarch authority during the King’s absence; Chaka the Jackal accepts (“AS YOU WISH.”) and the Royal Guard reluctantly obeys.
Why this matters
First on-page Vivi-as-acting-monarch authority-exercise at the palace-tier; the decree’s purpose is operationally a tactical decoy in the larger Alubarna sequence (force converging factions onto a sacrificeable target rather than the city; sever Crocodile’s planned kingdom-conquest finale from the palace-as-trophy).
Forward-canon prediction: the destroy-the-palace decree is rescinded or overtaken by events; the palace survives the arc-climax via Cobra’s intervention.
