Officer Agent of Baroque Works · paired with Miss Goldenweek · brain-tier officer (self-coded) · forward-canon: Galdino, Doru Doru no Mi wax-prison user

Profile

Baroque Works Officer Agent. Distinctive design: a stylized number-3 hair-topknot (the digit 3 literally forms the shape of his hairstyle), narrow dark glasses, striped officer’s coat. Self-identifies as the brain-tier officer — ‘in the end, the superior criminal’s greatest weapon is his brain.’ (Ch. 117 p.5) — contrasting with Mr. 5’s brute-tier (booger-cannon).

Dispatched on direct boss-orders via paper directive (Ch. 117 p.4) to clean up the Whisky-Peak survivors. Enforces code-name-only public address against his partner Miss Goldenweek (stop calling me by my code name in public… you’ll give away my secret identity!!!). Holds Mr. 2 in contempt (they should’ve done in Mr. 2 as well).

Devil Fruit not demonstrated in this chapter (forward-canon: Doru Doru no Mi / Wax-Wax Fruit, a Paramecia producing manipulable hardened wax — pre-loads the wax-prison combat-trap that defines the rest of the Little Garden arc).

Almost certainly the saboteur behind the explosive ale that fells Dorry at chapter-end (Ch. 117 pp.16-17). The chapter-ending ale-sabotage cliffhanger is the forward-payoff target that pays off Mr. 3’s brain-tier-officer mission-doctrine.

Arc-by-arc updates

Final Saga / Cross Guild (Ch. 1082)

  • Present among the Cross Guild executives at Emptee Bluffs during the flagship unveiling and strategy meeting (pp. 6-11).

Summit War / Marineford (Ch. 574)

  • The effort to free Luffy from his seastone cuffs continues amid the chaos (“Just shut up and unlock this thing!”, p. 5).

Marineford — shields Ace; offers a wax key (Ch. 571)

  • Shields Ace from Sengoku’s Buddha shockwave with a giant Candle Wall (p. 13: “Candle Wall!! / His body grew!!”) and offers to forge a wax key — “I’ll make a key right now and set him free!!” (p. 14). Gives an ironic motive for being there: “If I told you I was here to mourn my fallen comrade and avenge him… would you laugh at me?!” (p. 15). Further on-page proof his Alabasta “death” never stuck (consistent with the Doru Doru no Mi wax-armor survival already noted).

Marineford — charging the plaza (Ch. 570)

Impel Down — aboard the escape battleship (Ch. 549)

  • Among the escapees on the captured battleship as it rides the Tub Current toward the war (pp. 5-17).

Impel Down — escape (Ch. 547)

  • “Wax-Wax Release!!” and an Extra Large Candle Wall to blunt Magellan’s “Judgment of Hell” poison flood — but the poison dissolves even wax, so it only buys time (pp. 3, 14). “Leave that to me!” (p. 13).
  • Cross-link Doru Doru no Mi.

Impel Down breakout — names the Wax-Wax fruit; wax armor vs poison (Ch. 546)

  • Plain full-name utterance of his fruit: “I’m a wax man! I ate the Wax-Wax fruit!” (p. 2) — first time the Doru Doru no Mi is stated by its plain VIZ fruit-name on-page (vs. the earlier attack-grammar canonization in Alabasta).
  • Builds an iron-hard wax wall / Candle Wall that blocks Magellan’s poison Hydra (pp. 2, 5) — “No poison can penetrate it!”; the prisoners cheer “We love you, Three!”
  • Forms giant wax gloves/boots for Luffy so Luffy can punch the poison-bodied Magellan without touching the venom (pp. 4-5) — fights as a reluctant team (“I keep telling you, I don’t want to fight!!”).

Impel Down — Candle Wall covers Luffy’s escape (Ch. 545)

  • Re-emerges as an Impel Down escapee at Level 1; greets Crocodile as “B-B-B-Boss!!” (p. 15).
  • Throws up a “Candle Wall” to block Magellan’s Hydra and let Luffy’s group escape (p. 19, SPLAKK) — “Now get out of here!! I can’t hold out for long!! I don’t want to owe you anything!!” First on-page Doru Doru no Mi defensive use at Impel Down; pays off the long-standing caveat that he survives to the prison.

Impel Down — Buggy’s escape partner (Ch. 541)

  • Buggy’s escape partner; his duplicate wax keys (Doru Doru no Mi) are the pair’s master tool for the ~20-hour climb up from Level 6 and the Level 2 disguise gambit (pp. 13–14).

Impel Down (Ch. 539) — mentioned

  • Reported (with Buggy and Mr. 2) to have reached Level 5 disguised; presumed eaten by the wolves alongside the others (decoy headdress) (p. 14).

Impel Down — captured (Ch. 535)

  • Captured with Buggy and taken for interrogation by Magellan’s order (pp. 2, 17).

Impel Down (Summit War) (Ch. 534)

  • Plots with Buggy to flee upward during the duel; briefly considers attacking Magellan with a Muggy Ball before deciding to run, citing the danger “under Warden Hannyabal” (pp. 16-17). First on-page mention of the “Muggy Ball” in the Impel Down arc.

Impel Down (Summit War) (Ch. 533)

  • Falls into Level 4 with the group; reads the tactical situation — the guards are “well-organized,” moving in formations, and Impel Down’s “all-star team” has been called in: Magellan, the three Jailer Beasts, and (he dreads) the warden himself (pp. 9, 17).

Impel Down (Summit War) (Ch. 532) — “Candle Lock” wax assist downs the Minotaur

  • Logged inmate no. 0044 (p. 4); would “rather be in jail” than fight the Minotaur (p. 16) but pitches in: wax-coats Luffy’s fist with “Candle Lock” (Doru Doru no Mi) — admits “anything I make will melt in three seconds,” to which Luffy needs only “long enough” for one Gum-Gum Hammer Rifle (pp. 17-19). First on-page Doru Doru no Mi ally-coating assist.

Impel Down (Summit War) (Ch. 530) — Level 3 heat melts his wax; netted; reunites with Bon Clay

Impel Down (Ch. 529) — Level 2 wax combat; the “Prison Break Alliance”

  • On Level 2 (“Beast Hell”) with Luffy and Buggy. Uses Wax-Wax powers — “Candle Lock!” (p. 9) and wax-doll decoys of himself to fool the Sphinx, lamenting they work less well “without Ms. Golden Week’s coloring” (p. 17). See Miss Goldenweek.
  • Proposes “Operation: Use Straw Hat as Bait” and christens the trio the “Prison Break Alliance” (p. 15). Vows to forge a wax key for the stairway gate (p. 18).

Impel Down (Ch. 528) — reappears by name; offers to guide Luffy

  • First on-page name-confirm since the Ch. 0176 Alabasta cage-escape. The bespectacled prisoner (visual-inferred @0527) reveals himself by name: “THREE!! I’M MR. 3!” (p. 15). Luffy recognizes him as “the guy from the island of the giants” (Little Garden).
  • Offers to lead Luffy to Level 3 — “Ironically, I’m free now, thanks to you… I’m a man who repays my debts.” (p. 15). Re-enters the cast as a self-interested would-be ally for the breakout.

Impel Down (Ch. 527) — reappears as Buggy’s fellow escapee; on Level 2

  • Visually present (unnamed in dialogue) alongside Buggy as an escaped Impel Down prisoner — identifiable by his established design (narrow dark glasses, stylized-3 topknot). Pays off this entity’s long-standing forward-canon that Mr. 3 resurfaces with Buggy at Impel Down after his Alabasta loose-end exit (Ch. 176).
  • On the Level 2 “Demonic Beast Floor” with Buggy, resigned and fatalistic: “It doesn’t matter. We’re all gonna end up as food for the beasts anyway.” (p. 19).
  • (Identification is visual-design inference — he is not addressed by name in this chapter; confirm before hardening any name-bearing claim.)

Alabasta — Rain Dinners cage-escape (Ch. 176) — Wax-Wax Ball survival; wax-duplicate-key conscription; escapes mid-cage-break

  • LOAD-BEARING — survived Bananagator swallowing by self-encasing in a Wax-Wax Ball (Ch. 176 pp. 2-3). When the gator regurgitates the swallowed cage-key (SPLOOSH!!!), a giant white wax-ball is regurgitated alongside it. Mr. 3 cracks himself out (KR-AK!): “The moment this monster swallowed me, I used every last ounce of my power… to form a Wax-Wax Ball by sealing myself inside. I managed to survive.” / “Hee hee hee! Crocodile thinks he got rid of me, but he underestimated me!!”. First on-page Doru Doru no Mi defensive-self-encasement application — prior on-page uses were offensive wax-arsenal only. The wax-ball doubles as proof the fruit’s wax resists sea-king-class digestion. Confirms Mr. 3 was off-page fed-to-the-gator by Crocodile (~Ch. 0175 implied-death is voided). Cross-link Mr 3 Wax-Wax Ball Survival Self-Encasement Doctrine (new).
  • Wax-duplicates the Rain Dinners cage-key under Sanji’s threat (Ch. 176 pp. 4-5). Sanji to Luffy: “Maybe we can use his Wax-Wax powers… to make a duplicate key!”. Mr. 3 sees the trap: ”…A steel cage… A room filling up with water…” / ”…I see what’s going on here…” / “Here you go!!”. First on-page Doru Doru no Mi replica-forgery application — wax-as-locksmith-tool, distinct from wax-as-armor/wax-as-weapon. Mr. 3 is forced-ally to the Strawhats under threat-grammar. Cross-link Mr 3 Wax Duplicate Key Forgery Skill Debut (new), Mr 3 Strawhat-Forced-Ally Captive-Of-Convenience Beat (new).
  • Escapes off-frame mid-cage-break (Ch. 176 p. 7). After completing the wax-key, Sanji boots him out (WOOSH!! / “If you want the key, go find it!! And try not to get eaten in the process!!”); Sanji deadpans: “He sure catches on fast!! / What a jerk.”. The Strawhat-Mr.3 forced-alliance ends mid-escape — Mr. 3 is now a loose-end roaming Alabasta. Forward-canon: he resurfaces with Buggy at Impel Down (~Ch. 0532+) — multi-arc deferred-asset.
  • Cross-link Sanji (conscriptor), Bananagator (survived-via-wax-shell), Crocodile (off-page fed-to-gator perpetrator), Doru Doru no Mi (third + fourth application-classes installed), Rain Dinners Casino (Ch. 0176 cage-escape).

Alabasta — Rebellion (Ch. 172) — forward-canon survival tell — wax-key trapdoor drop lands in Mr. 3’s underground wax-domain

  • Robin’s wax-key cage-drop in Ch. 172 p. 19 lands in Mr. 3’s forward-canon underground wax-domain. Robin drops a wax cage-key (KL UNK! / WHOOSH!) through the cage-floor trapdoor into the underground pit (WOOOOO) below Rain Dinners — the same trapdoor-aquarium-tunnel-system Mr. 3 was dropped into in Ch. 0166. The Ch. 0166 eaten by Bananagator on-page death is complicated by Mr. 3 being canonically alive at forward-canon Impel Down (Ch. 0524+); the Ch. 0172 wax-key arrival in the underground pit is a structural-tell that Mr. 3 survived (presumed wax-armor or off-page escape) and is operationally below Rain Dinners. The forward-canon Mr. 3 reveals himself in the next chapters and the wax-key escape mechanism is operationalized. Status remains deceased per Ch. 0166 on-page execution; the Ch. 0172 cross-tell does not yet contradict the on-page status. Cross-link Robin Wax-Key Cage-Choice Mind-Game Setup (new — Mr. 3 implicated as the wax-key recipient/operator).

Alabasta arc (Ch. 166) — killed by Crocodile (Suna Suna moisture-drain + Bananagator)

  • Returns from Little Garden to Baroque Works HQ to report in person (Ch. 166 p. 2). Found at the underground HQ dining-hall (post-Ch. 0127 in-person summons). Stunned by Mr. 2 sneaking up: “MR. 3!!! HOW ON EARTH DID YOU SNEAK UP ON US!!!” (p. 3).
  • Confronted by Crocodile about the false Transponder Snail report (Ch. 166 pp. 4-5) — Mr. 3 (innocent): “Transponder Snail!? What are you talking about? I never used the Transponder Snail on Little Garden.” — confirms Sanji’s Ch. 0127 impersonation went undetected. “This is bad. So that’s why the Unluckies never returned.” (p. 5). Cross-link Sanji Snail-o-phone Impersonation Of Mr 3 (Ch. 0166 in-person discovery payoff).
  • Confesses to the live encounter with the Strawhats + Vivi (Ch. 166 pp. 6-7) — produces Polaroid-portraits of Vivi, Luffy, Nami, Sanji, Karoo (and confesses there were four pirates not three: “There was a fourth one with a long nose!!”). The hit-list expands to five-plus-pet on-page.
  • LOAD-BEARING — killed by Crocodile’s Suna Suna no Mi moisture-drain (Ch. 166 pp. 8-9). Crocodile strangles Mr. 3 by the face (WHAP…!! Shut up, you brainless fool!!!) and drains the moisture from his body: “You’re not strong like Mr. 4!!! / Mr. 3!!! Do you know why I gave you that position? Do you!?” / “Have all the water you want.” / “GACK!! / He’s drying up!!” Mr. 3 dehydrates into a mummified husk (“Wa… wa…”). First on-page Suna Suna no Mi technique demonstration — and Mr. 3 is its victim. The Doru-Doru-no-Mi wax-armor never deploys; the Paramecia wax-defense has no answer to the Logia-tier moisture-drain. Cross-link Doru Doru no Mi (Ch. 0166 cross-fruit-tier vulnerability evidence add), Crocodile Suna Suna no Mi Moisture-Drain Devil-Fruit Debut (new — load-bearing).
  • Eaten by Crocodile’s pet Bananagator (Ch. 166 pp. 9-10). Dropped through a trapdoor into the underground aquarium: “Time to eat.” (p. 9). Bananagator: “B-Bananagator!! / GRUMP.” / “DOOM…”. Mr. 3 dies on-page. Status updates to deceased. Forward-canon caveat — Mr. 3 reappears at Impel Down (Ch. 0524+) — so the eaten by Bananagator beat is likely a survival-with-survival-revealed-later (wax-armor or chance escape off-page). On-page Ch. 0166 reads as a definitive death.
  • Boss-disposal-of-failed-officer doctrine — Mr. 3 is the on-page-canonical victim of Crocodile’s predator-disposal mechanism. Pre-loads the Doflamingo-strings-up-failures / Kaido-club-bashes-failures tyrant-villain-grammar template. Cross-link Bananagator Crocodile Pet Aquarium Debut (new).
  • Cross-link Crocodile (executioner), Bananagator (the pet-predator, new), Bon Clay (Mr. 2 Bon Clay — witness who tracked him to HQ), Nico Robin (Miss All Sunday — witness, affect-line He’s drying up!!).

Alabasta arc (Ch. 158) — Off-page ship-sighting at Alabasta coast — alive, somewhere in the kingdom

  • Wax-ship spotted off the Alabasta coast (Ch. 158 p. 3). Nami spots the distant wax-ship; Vivi confirms: “That ship runs on Mr. 3’s wax-wax powers.” / “He’s somewhere in this kingdom.” Nami: “You mean that jerk is still alive!?”off-page survival confirmation. Mr. 3 survived the Little-Garden defeat (Ch. 0126) and made it to Alabasta independently.
  • Operational status: alive, free, in Alabasta — forward-canon on Crocodile’s Ch. 0127 directive (go to Alabasta and await further orders). The off-page survival pays off the Ch. 0127 plan-phase-shift.
  • Cross-link Mr 3 Wax-Ship Survived Off-Page (new — load-bearing).

Little Garden (Ch. 154) — slipped Crocodile’s Officer-Agent purge

  • Off-page reference as Bon Clay’s failed kill-order target (p. 17). Bon Clay’s strike-crew sailed from Alabasta to Little Garden under Crocodile’s order “to get rid of Mr. 3 between Alabasta and Little Garden” — and missed Mr. 3 entirely. The Ch. 127 Dispatch Mr. 2 to Little Garden purge has operationally failed; Mr. 3 is alive and untracked. Forward-canon: Mr. 3 will reappear (captured by Marines, en route to Impel Down) — the Ch. 127 kill-order is permanently unfulfilled. See Mr 3 Slipped Past Mr 2 At Little Garden Beat (new).

Little Garden (Ch. 127) — Snail-o-phone — off-page; his Snail-o-phone and camp are the setting; impersonated by Sanji

  • Mr. 3 does not appear on-page; his abandoned wax-camp and Snail-o-phone are the setting of the chapter’s back half. Sanji impersonates Mr. 3 over the Snail-o-phone to deceive Crocodile (Ch. 127 pp. 9-17).
  • Named by Crocodile as the order-recipient: Crocodile orders ‘Mr. 3’ to go to Alabasta with Ms. Golden Week and await direct orders (“I wish you success, Mr. 3.” p. 17). Crocodile is unaware Mr. 3 has gone silent / been defeated — pre-loads the forward-canon consequence that Mr. 3 is treated as a failed agent.
  • Cross-link Sanji (the impostor), Crocodile (the boss giving orders to the absent Mr. 3), Den Den Mushi, Sanji Snail-o-phone Impersonation Of Mr 3 (new).

Little Garden (Ch. 126) — Instinct — defeated by Luffy; wax-armor melted by Karoo’s burning rope; builds a Wax-Wax Mansion of identical wax-decoy duplicates of himself (new user-decoy-replication deployment-mode); delivers the chapter’s brains-vs-instinct thesis-taunt; KO’d by a Gum-Gum Stamp; confirmed off-page as the agent late with his report to Crocodile

  • LOAD-BEARING — defeated by Luffy (Ch. 126 pp. 2-17) — Luffy melts Mr. 3’s Extra-Special Candelabra wax-armor with the heat from Karoo’s burning saddle-rope, freeing the wax-statue captives (pp. 2-6). Cornered, Mr. 3 builds a Wax-Wax Mansion packed with dozens of identical wax-decoy duplicates of himself and challenges Luffy: “Now, which is the real me? … Can you tell?” (p. 14). Luffy bypasses the shell-game entirely and KOs the real Mr. 3 with a Gum-Gum Stamp (THWAM!! …STAMP!!!, p. 16). First on-page Mr. 3 defeat — the Wax-Wax House climax that ran Ch. 0117-0126 is resolved. Mr. 3’s status updates to defeated. Cross-link Luffy (defeat-dealer), Karoo (the burning-rope fire-source).
  • LOAD-BEARING — wax-decoy-duplicate Wax-Wax Mansion (new Doru Doru no Mi deployment-mode) (Ch. 126 pp. 13-14) — “Welcome to my Wax-Wax Mansion” — Mr. 3 sculpts dozens of identical wax decoy-duplicates of himself as a concealment shell-game. New Doru Doru no Mi deployment-mode: user-decoy-replication — the fruit’s deployment-trichotomy (target-engulf / environment-architecture / user-armor) gains a fourth mode. Pre-loads the forward-canon Paramecia self-copy sub-axis (Doflamingo’s string-clones). Cross-link Doru Doru no Mi (Ch. 0126 user-decoy-replication deployment-mode evidence add), Mr 3 Wax-Decoy Duplicate Wax-Wax Mansion Concealment Technique (new).
  • LOAD-BEARING — delivers the chapter’s brains-vs-instinct thesis-taunt (Ch. 126 p. 14) — “You’ll never take us. We’re the best brains of Baroque Works. And you’re just a powerful oaf who acts only on instinct.” — first on-page Baroque-Works brains-tier self-mythologizing. The chapter is titled after the slur (Instinct) and then refutes the boast — Luffy’s instinct defeats the brains-pair. Mr. 3 also boasts “I am Mr. 3!!! I never fail in my mission” (p. 14) — immediately falsified within two pages. Threatens a “dagger in the heart” if Luffy turns his back (SHEEN, p. 15) — villain-honor-violation tell, contrasted against the giants’ battle-of-honor code Luffy invokes (p. 12). Cross-link Luffy Acts Only On Instinct Villain-Framing Becomes Strength (new), Luffy Combat-Instinct-Vs-Pretty-Things Doctrine.
  • Confirmed off-page as the agent late with his report (Ch. 126 p. 19) — the chapter-end Den Den Mushi call from Crocodile (“You’re late with your report!!”) confirms Mr. 3 is the Officer Agent who failed his mission and was overdue reporting to the boss. Sanji, mistaken for Mr. 3, takes the call. Cross-link Crocodile (the boss demanding the report), Sanji (mistaken for Mr. 3).
  • Cross-link Luffy (Mr. 3’s defeat-dealer), Karoo (burning-rope fire-source), Crocodile (the boss Mr. 3 owes a report), Doru Doru no Mi (Ch. 0126 user-decoy-replication deployment-mode), Mr 3 Wax-Decoy Duplicate Wax-Wax Mansion Concealment Technique (new), Luffy Acts Only On Instinct Villain-Framing Becomes Strength (new).
  • LOAD-BEARING — CANDLE CHAMPION!!! — wax-armor battle-form NAMED on-page (Ch. 125 p. 6) — BA-BOOM!! ATTACK!! CANDLE CHAMPION!!! — Mr. 3 emerges in a fully-encasing wax exoskeleton: stylized-3 hood-crest, candle-bomb-spheres on shoulders/chest/limbs, layered carapace plates, lit candle-stub still on his head. First on-page utterance of the Candle Champion attack-name — the Ch. 0121 unnamed body-transformation (multi-tier candelabra-form, pp. 11-12) is now retroactively named at Ch. 125 as Candle Champion. Mr. 3: “my special Wax-Wax gently envelops me in a carapace that’s harder than steel. And there’s no weak point in this armor!!” / “In this form, I’m already invincible!!!” (p. 7). Re-keys the body-as-architecture Paramecia register as a user-tier self-augmentation combat-form — Mr. 3 doesn’t just make wax architecture, he can become a wax-armored warrior. Pre-loads forward Paramecia user-self-augmentation sub-axis (Mr. 1 body-blade transformation; Doflamingo string-clone-self-replication). Cross-link Mr 3 Candle Champion Body Transformation (Ch. 0125 attack-name canonization evidence add).
  • LOAD-BEARING — 42M-berry criminal wax-statue trophy pedigree (Ch. 125 p. 6) — Miss Goldenweek (presenting): “That’s Mr. 3’s masterpiece!!! He once took down a criminal worth 42 million berries with that thing.” First on-page Baroque Works Officer-Agent past-bounty-victim canonization. The 42M figure exceeds Luffy’s then-current 30M bounty (Luffy First Bounty 30 Million / Ch. 96) — Mr. 3’s combat-tier historically exceeds Luffy’s bounty-tier. Pre-loads the I-have-killed-someone-of-your-bounty-tier villain-boast that recurs across BW officers and across the series. Cross-link Mr 3 42 Million Berry Criminal Wax-Statue Trophy (new — load-bearing).
  • Wax-armor > Luffy Gum-Gum-Pistol-tier (Ch. 125 p. 8) — Luffy: “Oh! Right. Gum-Gum…!!!” fires PISTOL!!! — wax-armor rings off intact (KLANG!!). First on-page combat-grammar canonization of Doru-Doru-armor > rubber-Pistol-strike — wax-armor (Officer-Agent self-augmented Paramecia) out-resists captain-tier base-strike. Pre-loads the velocity-tier-jump Luffy will need (Gum-Gum Bullet Ch. 63; Gear-2 Jet Pistol forward-canon).
  • LOAD-BEARING — Wax-Wax Mist (third Doru Doru no Mi deployment-mode) (Ch. 125 p. 9) — Sanji: “A waxy mist!!” — pre-solidifying wax-aerosol filling the air around the captives that hardens into a sealing wax-statue carapace. Third deployment-mode after bulk-engulfment (Ch. 120) and architectural-trap (Ch. 122-124), plus an extension/clarification of Ch. 0121’s area-effect wax-rain. The fruit operates across phase-states — pre-loads the Paramecia body-substance-generalizes-across-phase-states design-axis. Cross-link Mr 3 Wax-Wax Mist Pre-Solidification Combat-Aerosol (new).
  • LOAD-BEARING — 30-second kill-clock execution-mechanism (Ch. 125 p. 12) — Mr. 3: “They’ve only got 30 seconds until their hearts stop forever!!” / “You have no chance of winning!! And no more time!!” First on-page Baroque-Works execution-with-timer set-piece. Pre-loads the villain-articulates-kill-clock-then-loses arc-grammar (Crocodile’s Alabasta-rebellion 1-hour clock; Big Mom’s Wedding-Cake time-bomb).
  • LOAD-BEARING — heat-melts-wax weakness disclosed-by-panic-reaction (Ch. 125 p. 11) — Luffy: “No matter how hard it is, it’s still wax!!! Heat can melt the wax!!!” Mr. 3 panic-reacts: “Don’t give away our secrets!!!” First on-page Doru Doru no Mi weakness-mechanic canonization — the panic-reaction itself confirms the weakness (villain-disclosure-via-panic grammar). Cross-link Mr 3 Heat Melts Wax Devil-Fruit-Mechanic Install (new — load-bearing).
  • LOAD-BEARING — they’ve already become my works of art wax-statue-trophy-gallery doctrine (Ch. 125 p. 16) — “Ha ha ha!! Give it up!! They’ve already become my works of art!!” Wax-statue-as-trophy-collection register canonized. Mr. 3 collects executed targets as art-pieces (extends Mr 3 Wax Figure Collection Doctrine from Ch. 0123). Pre-loads aestheticized-villain-grammar (Doflamingo’s string-puppet collector; Caesar Clown’s child-experiment trophies; Big Mom’s Wedding-Cake-as-execution-stage). Cross-link Mr 3 Wax-Statue-Trophy-Gallery Execution Doctrine (new — load-bearing).
  • Wax-ball rolling-form sub-deployment (Ch. 125 pp. 9-10) — Mr. 3 rolls into a Championship fight!! wax-ball-form, body-slams Luffy (BAM BAM BAM BAM), then opens detonator-candle-spheres (VOOM…). Adds a rolling-form locomotion sub-deployment to the Candle-Champion battle-form. Pre-loads forward Doflamingo Threads-bird-cage full-deployment forms.
  • Strikes Karoo repeatedly (Ch. 125 pp. 14-17) — WHAM!! / KA-BAM!! / WHAP!! — Mr. 3 swings the wax-armor at Karoo: “Impudent bird!!” / “Run around them!!” / “…to the likes of you!!!” — Mr. 3’s villain-grammar register intensifies as Karoo refuses to back down. The contempt-for-loyalty-displays register continues from Ch. 120 (mocking Brogy’s grief).
  • Cross-link Doru Doru no Mi (Ch. 125 user-tier self-augmentation form + Wax-Wax Mist + heat-weakness evidence add), Luffy (Mr. 3’s combat-foil), Karoo (Mr. 3’s beating-target), Miss Goldenweek (co-Officer + Crescendo-Stone-supporting-fire partner), Mr 3 Candle Champion Body Transformation (Ch. 0125 attack-name canonization), Mr 3 42 Million Berry Criminal Wax-Statue Trophy (new — load-bearing), Mr 3 Heat Melts Wax Devil-Fruit-Mechanic Install (new — load-bearing), Mr 3 Wax-Wax Mist Pre-Solidification Combat-Aerosol (new), Mr 3 Wax-Statue-Trophy-Gallery Execution Doctrine (new — load-bearing).

Little Garden (Ch. 124) — The Tea Is Good — cover-only appearance (Vol. 3 spinoff cover-arc debut at Tsuru Transportation); Wax-Wax House execution-chamber is on-page as the framing set-piece for the entire chapter (Mr. 3 off-frame in the interior, but his architecture is the death-clock)

  • LOAD-BEARING — Wax-Wax House execution-chamber on-page (Ch. 124 pp. 2-3) — the Wax-Wax House interior is the framing set-piece of the chapter: tall multi-tier wax-architecture, candelabra-arch canopy, X-cross-hatch wax-walls, multi-tier platform with three Strawhats (Vivi, Zoro, Nami) wax-bound in raised-arm execution positions under wax-drip tendrils. Vivi: “We’re about to become wax figures!!! Don’t you get it!?! We’re going to die!!” (p. 3). The wax-statue-execution-chamber death-clock mechanic is operationally canonized: “With the wax falling so fast, we won’t last another minute.” (Vivi, p. 9). First on-page Mr. 3 Wax-Wax House execution-chamber — Mr. 3 is off-frame in the interior pages but the chamber is his construct and the chapter’s structural set-piece. Cross-link Mr 3 Wax Statue Execution Chamber Forward-Tease (new — load-bearing), Doru Doru no Mi (Ch. 124 execution-chamber evidence add).
  • LOAD-BEARING — cover-art Vol. 3 spinoff cover-arc debut: Miss Golden Week’s Operation: Meet Baroque Works (Ch. 124 p. 1) — Mr. 3 (tall blazer, dark glasses, candle-3 topknot, smoking, holding a THE SECRET / 18
    / 2-1 CAR
suitcase with skull-and-crossbones jolly-roger) at a TSURU TRANSPORTATION transit-stop sign (stork/crane mascot atop). Karoo (Marine-hat) sits in a luggage-rickshaw beside an unnamed stork/crane in a similar hat. First on-page Vol. 3 of the Mr. 3 / Goldenweek spinoff cover-arc that runs ~30 chapters through Alabasta + Drum + Skypiea pre-arc. The Karoo-as-cover-mascot register is the cover-arc’s running visual gag. Cross-link Cover Story Vol 3 Mr 3 Spinoff Debut Tsuru Transportation (new).
  • On-frame absence is structurally significant — Mr. 3 is off-frame in the interior pages of Ch. 124 because Miss Goldenweek is the on-frame Color-Trap deployer. The Ch. 118 / 119 / 120 Mr. 3-talks-Goldenweek-observes affect-asymmetry is inverted for Ch. 124: Goldenweek talks/acts, Mr. 3 observes (off-frame). Goldenweek’s line — “No, Mr. 3 will be angry if you break it.” (p. 10) — implies Mr. 3 is on-island and would react if his wax-architecture is damaged.
  • Cross-link Miss Goldenweek (Color-Trap deployer this chapter; affect-asymmetry inverted from Ch. 118-120), Doru Doru no Mi (Wax-Wax House execution-chamber evidence add), Mr 3 Wax Statue Execution Chamber Forward-Tease (new — load-bearing), Cover Story Vol 3 Mr 3 Spinoff Debut Tsuru Transportation (new).

Little Garden (Ch. 123) — Luffy vs. Mr. 3 — Candle Lock + Candle Wall + Wax-Wax Art Harpoon named-attack debuts; wax-figure collection doctrine canonized; Officer-hierarchy-snub of Mr. 5 + Miss Valentine; chapter-title arc-villain elevation

  • LOAD-BEARING — chapter-title arc-villain elevation (Ch. 123 p. 1) — Chapter 123: LUFFY VS. MR. 3 — first arc-villain-named-in-the-title chapter of the Alabasta saga. Mr. 3 is now narratively positioned as the Little Garden arc primary antagonist, displacing Mr. 5 / Miss Valentine to the secondary tier. The title-card grammar (Luffy vs. [Villain]) re-keys the East Blue Luffy vs. Krieg / Luffy vs. Arlong arc-climax title-template into the Alabasta saga.
  • LOAD-BEARING — CANDLE LOCK!!! first on-page named Doru Doru no Mi attack (Ch. 123 p. 6) — wax-projectile that locks Luffy’s legs to the ground in a hammer-shaped wax-block (KA-CHANK!!!). First on-page named attack of the Doru Doru no Mi against Luffy specifically — the Ch. 0121 Candle Lock!!! on Brogy was the first named-attack instance; the Ch. 0123 deployment extends the named-attack into the Luffy-confrontation register, with the hammer-shape geometry becoming the chapter’s forward-payoff target. The technique-name Candle Lock extends the Ch. 120 Imprison-Then-Execute doctrine into a named-attack-vehicle. Cross-link Mr 3 Candle Lock Wax Restraint Named Attack (Ch. 0123 evidence add — load-bearing), Doru Doru no Mi.
  • LOAD-BEARING — CANDLE WALL!!! defensive-architecture named attack (Ch. 123 pp. 15, 17) — wax-barrier instantaneously interposed between Mr. 3 and incoming Gum-Gum projectiles. First on-page Doru Doru no Mi defensive-architecture-tier technique. Sister-attack-name to Candle Lock (offensive-projectile / defensive-architecture pair). Pre-loads the Wax-Wax House (Ch. 124+) at room-scale. Cross-link Mr 3 Candle Wall Named Attack Debut (new — load-bearing).
  • LOAD-BEARING — WAX-WAX ART HARPOON!!!! first on-page Doru-Doru fruit-name component utterance (Ch. 123 p. 12) — harpoon-shaped wax-projectile at the trapped crew. First on-page utterance of the Doru-Doru / Wax-Wax fruit-name component — the attack-name partially canonizes the fruit-name via the technique-naming grammar. The Art register pre-loads Mr. 3’s wax-sculptor self-identification. Cross-link Mr 3 Wax-Wax Art Harpoon Named Attack Debut (new — load-bearing), Doru Doru no Mi (fruit-name component first utterance).
  • LOAD-BEARING — Wax-figure collection doctrine canonized (Ch. 123 p. 4) — “I’M GOING TO ADD STRAW HAT LUFFY TO MY COLLECTION OF WAX FIGURES.” Extends the Ch. 0120 Imprison-Then-Execute doctrine into its forward-canon endpoint: Mr. 3 doesn’t execute targets, he converts them into permanent wax-statue trophies for a collection. The art-collector-villain grammar pre-loads the Wax-Wax House (Ch. 124+) and forward-resonates with later art-collector-villains (Doflamingo’s tournament-fighter-collection in Dressrosa, Big Mom’s marriage-portrait collection in Whole Cake). Cross-link Mr 3 Wax Figure Collection Doctrine (new — load-bearing).
  • LOAD-BEARING — Candle-proximity hardening-speed mechanic (Ch. 123 p. 12) — “THE CANDLE IS CLOSER NOW, SO YOU’RE HARDENING MORE QUICKLY!!” The wax-area-effect-perimeter is a passive ambient mechanic; the candle radiates a hardening-field whose intensity scales with proximity. Creates a time-pressure combat dynamic — every target within the perimeter is on a per-distance risk-clock they cannot escape without external intervention. Forward-payoff: the candle-as-source is the breakable single-point-of-failure that Zoro’s swords target. Cross-link Mr 3 Candle-Proximity Hardening Speed Mechanic (new — load-bearing).
  • LOAD-BEARING — Officer-hierarchy-snub doctrine canonized (Ch. 123 p. 4) — “YOUR ATTACKS ON HIM FAILED MISERABLY. FINISH HIM OFF? DON’T BE RIDICULOUS.” / “I’M GOING TO ADD STRAW HAT LUFFY TO MY COLLECTION OF WAX FIGURES.” / “YOU TWO, CLEAN UP THAT TRASH BEHIND HIM.” Mr. 3 publicly demotes Mr. 5 + Miss Valentine to cleanup-tier and reserves the primary target Luffy for himself. Extends the Ch. 0118 rank-stratification canonization into a hierarchy-glory-strip register. Pre-loads forward-canon Mr. 1 / Mr. 2 / Mr. 0 (Crocodile) hierarchy-glory-strip beats in Alabasta. Cross-link Mr 3 Officer Hierarchy Snub Doctrine (new — load-bearing).
  • Combat-engagement with Luffy locked-in (Ch. 123 pp. 14-17) — Luffy’s Gum-Gum Bazooka (p. 15) is blocked by Candle Wall; Luffy’s Gum-Gum Hammer (p. 17) cracks the second Candle Wall. The chapter ends on the wax-wall-cracking cliffhanger — Mr. 3 has been formally promoted to the Strawhats’ direct-combat opponent.
  • Cross-link Luffy (titled-bout opponent), Mr. 5 (snubbed), Miss Valentine (snubbed), Zoro (arrives hardened — Mr. 3’s wax-perimeter trap), Doru Doru no Mi (three named attacks debut), Mr 3 Candle Lock Wax Restraint Named Attack (Ch. 0123 evidence add — load-bearing), Mr 3 Candle Wall Named Attack Debut (new — load-bearing), Mr 3 Wax-Wax Art Harpoon Named Attack Debut (new — load-bearing), Mr 3 Wax Figure Collection Doctrine (new — load-bearing), Mr 3 Candle-Proximity Hardening Speed Mechanic (new — load-bearing), Mr 3 Officer Hierarchy Snub Doctrine (new — load-bearing).

Little Garden (Ch. 122) — A Dead Body Is Useless — Wax-Wax Arts technique-family canonized (Sword); Extra Special Candelabra apparatus named; candle-jacket defensive wax-armor named; wax-petrification from the inside out combat-doctrine deployed; I can’t let you do that intervention-announcement against Zoro’s escape — Mr. 3’s Improvise and Conquer / avoid-fair-fight doctrine operationally falsified

  • LOAD-BEARING — first NAMED Wax-Wax Arts technique on-page (Ch. 122 p. 3) — “WAX-WAX ARTS… …SWORD!!!” — Mr. 3 generates a wax-sword construct that drives into the ground to pin Brogy’s hand in place. The Wax-Wax Arts (Doru Doru Bofū) technique-family is canonized on-page — parallel to Three-Sword Style, Black Leg, Gum-Gum. First Wax-Wax Arts sword-shaped wax-construct on-page; canonizes the technique-family-naming-grammar. Cross-link Mr 3 Wax-Wax Sword Named Technique Debut (new — load-bearing), Doru Doru no Mi (Ch. 122 Wax-Wax Arts canonization).
  • LOAD-BEARING — Extra Special Candelabra architectural wax-apparatus named (Ch. 122 p. 5) — “Speed up, my EXTRA SPECIAL CANDELABRA!!! — Mr. 3 names his multi-tiered wax-candle execution apparatus as a discrete-named-structure. First on-page named-architectural Doru Doru no Mi construct. Pre-loads the forward Wax-Wax House / Wax-Wax Mansion set-piece grammar. Cross-link Mr 3 Extra Special Candelabra Named Wax Apparatus (new), Mr 3 Quickie-Wax-House In The Jungle Architect Doctrine (Ch. 122 escalation from unnamed wax-house to named apparatus).
  • LOAD-BEARING — wax-petrification from the inside out combat-doctrine (Ch. 122 p. 6) — Mr. 3’s wax doesn’t just encase, it infiltrates lungs and progressively petrifies whole body. Vivi diagnoses: “He means to turn us into wax figures from the inside out!!!” First on-page Devil-Fruit inhalation-as-attack-vector combat-mechanic. Pre-loads forward poison-gas / Hydra-poison / Caesar-Clown-gas / Vegapunk-medical-tech inhalation-attack-vectors. Cross-link Wax-Wax Suffocation Inside-Out Petrification Doctrine (new — load-bearing), Mr 3 Wax-Wax Arts Body-Petrification Doctrine (new — load-bearing).
  • Candle-jacket defensive wax-armor named (Ch. 122 p. 3) — “I never thought he’d be able to break my candle jacket.” — first on-page Doru Doru no Mi defensive-application: Mr. 3 wears wax-armor as personal defense (broken by Brogy’s giant-tier strength). Pre-loads forward body-as-wax-shield defensive register. Cross-link Mr 3 Candle-Jacket Defensive Wax-Armor Tell (new).
  • Cruelty-as-aesthetic register canonized (Ch. 122 p. 7, p. 9) — “Agony is the look I seek!!! Let your bodies become monuments to horror!!” / “What a magnificent work of art!! What an expression!! That look of tortured bitterness!! I love it!!” — Mr. 3’s cruelty register intensifies from Ch. 120’s cruelty-as-condescension into cruelty-as-aesthetic-appreciation: he treats his victims’ suffering as art. Re-keys his Artist of Gravity (Goldenweek) partner-tagline — Mr. 3 is also an artist (of execution-via-wax-sculpture). The art-grammar register pre-loads his Marineford Candle Champion augmentation (also art-coded — his combat-form is a sculpted-wax-warrior).
  • He’s bluffing / He’s all talk contempt at Zoro’s resolve (Ch. 122 p. 11) — Mr. 3 dismisses Zoro’s cut off my legs doctrine as bluff. The mis-read confirms Mr. 3’s targets-do-not-have-resolve default-assumption — his Improvise and Conquer doctrine assumes targets will not pay extreme self-cost to escape. Forward-payoff: Zoro DOES cut, breaking Mr. 3’s psychological-warfare model.
  • LOAD-BEARING — I can’t let you do that intervention-announcement (Ch. 122 p. 19) — “Hmph! I can’t let you do that.” — Mr. 3 must leave his elevated candelabra-position to engage Zoro directly. The Improvise and Conquer / trap-craft-over-direct-combat doctrine is operationally falsified: Mr. 3’s we wouldn’t stand a chance in a fair fight (Ch. 118) doctrine is forced into combat-engagement against his own admitted-tier-mismatch. First on-page Mr. 3-acknowledges-target-strategy-as-credible-and-must-act-directly beat. Forward-payoff: Ch. 124+ Mr. 3 Candle Champion combat-augmentation form. Cross-link Mr 3 We Wouldnt Stand A Chance In A Fair Fight Doctrine (Ch. 122 operational-falsification payoff).
  • Cross-link Brogy (wax-pinned-hand victim + flashback-prayer recipient), Zoro (escape-strategist target + I can’t let you do that announcement-target), Vivi (inside-out-petrification diagnostic source), Sanji (ugly-fight parallel-register), Luffy (incoming combat-engagement), Doru Doru no Mi (Ch. 122 Wax-Wax Arts + Extra Special Candelabra + candle-jacket + petrification mechanics evidence add).

Little Garden (Ch. 121) — I Knew — first Mr. 3 cover-splash (handstand in hammock-camp); Candle Lock!!! first named Doru Doru no Mi attack; extra special Candelabra body-transformation; wax figures with real souls execution-doctrine articulated; plastic arts self-coding; ale-sabotage confessed directly to Brogy via mock-imitation of Dorry’s voice; area-effect wax-rain immobilizes Vivi, Nami, Zoro, Brogy; cruelty-as-condescension register sustained through Brogy’s I knew reveal

  • LOAD-BEARING — first on-page named Doru Doru no Mi attack: CANDLE LOCK!!! (Ch. 121 p. 11) — KA-CHAK!! — wax-restraints snap shut on Brogy in discrete candle-shaped lock forms. Combat-grammar: discrete wax-restraint attack-name distinct from the Ch. 0120 amorphous wax-engulfment. The candle-as-aesthetic-unit design-language is now installed as a named-attack vocabulary — pre-loads the Candle Wall, Candle Service Set, Candle Lock Special attack-naming family. Cross-link Doru Doru no Mi (Ch. 121 first-named-attack evidence add), Mr 3 Candle Lock Wax Restraint Named Attack (new — load-bearing).
  • LOAD-BEARING — first on-page Mr. 3 body-transformation: extra special Candelabra / Candle Champion (Ch. 121 pp. 11-12) — GLURP!! GA-GUUUP!! WOOOOOOO!! — Mr. 3’s hair-candles expand into a massive multi-tier candelabra that replaces or supplements his upper body, with multiple lit candles atop a tiered ornate wax sculpture. First on-page Mr. 3 body-transformation via his Doru Doru no Mi. Re-keys the Ch. 0118 architectural-Paramecia register as a body-as-architecture Paramecia — Mr. 3 doesn’t just make wax architecture, he can become it. Forward-canon: this is the Candle Champion mode (named in later chapters). Pre-loads the Paramecia body-shape-shift category. Cross-link Doru Doru no Mi (Ch. 121 body-transformation evidence add), Mr 3 Candle Champion Body Transformation (new — load-bearing).
  • LOAD-BEARING — wax figures with real souls execution-doctrine on-page (Ch. 121 pp. 14-15) — ‘The waxy mist raining down on your heads will soon turn you into wax figures!!! You’ll be wax figures with real souls!!’ / ‘Die in the name of art!!!’ / ‘Not even my skill in the plastic arts could create such perfect human figures!!’ First on-page articulation of Mr. 3’s preferred execution-mode: encase living victims in wax so that they become living statues / wax figures with real souls. Pays off Mr 3 Imprison-Then-Execute Doctrine (Ch. 0120 seed — status promotes from pending to confirmed). Pre-loads the wax-execution-chamber set-piece in Ch. 122-124. The living-statue / preserved-suffering register is also a forward-pattern install for Caesar’s gassified-statue victims (Punk Hazard) and Doflamingo’s toy-victims (Dressrosa). Cross-link Mr 3 Wax Figures With Real Souls Execution Doctrine (new — load-bearing).
  • LOAD-BEARING — plastic arts self-coding (Ch. 121 p. 15) — Mr. 3 self-identifies as a plastic-arts (sculptural/three-dimensional art) practitioner. Re-keys the Ch. 0117 brain-tier-officer self-coding from intellectual-superior to artist-superior. Mr. 3 is the artisan-officer, not the smart-guy-officer. Pre-loads his post-Baroque-Works re-emergence in Impel Down (wax-key forgery for prison-break) and Marineford (wax-cast for Luffy’s broken arm) — both craft applications of the wax-art register, not combat applications. The doctrine that Mr. 3 sees his fruit as a medium, not a weapon, is the load-bearing through-line for his entire long-arc character role. Cross-link Mr 3 Plastic Arts Self-Coding (new — load-bearing).
  • First Mr. 3 cover-splash (Ch. 121 p. 1) — Mr. 3 executing a handstand in a personal jungle hammock-camp (top hat hanging on tree, sword propped against palm, drink on stand, banana plant, songbird). First Mr. 3 cover-splash in the series. The leisure-camp framing extends the Ch. 0118 power-as-domesticity register from architectural wax-house to personal-leisure-camp. The handstand is the idle-theatricality / arts-aesthetic register that the chapter-body itself canonizes via the plastic arts self-coding. Pre-loads the Volume-14 cover-arc Mr-3-character-spotlight register. Cross-link Cover Story Mr 3 Hammock-Camp Vol 14 Part 1 (new).
  • Direct confession of the ale-sabotage to Brogy via mock-imitation of Dorry’s voice (Ch. 121 p. 10) — Mr. 3 mockingly imitates Dorry’s voice over the ale-cup: ‘Aye!! Like the nectar of the gods!’ / ‘Ho, Dorry!! After all these years, wasn’t that ale refreshing?’ Brogy: ‘Planting a bomb in Mr. Dorry’s ale!!! What a cowardly trick!!!’ First on-page direct confession of the ale-sabotage to Brogy himself — closes the asymmetric-information gap from Ch. 0119-0120. The mock-imitation register is the theatrical-cruelty axis of Mr. 3’s character. Cross-link Baroque Works Bomb-In-Ale Trick-The-Giants-Into-Killing-Each-Other Plot (Ch. 121 final-payoff confessor evidence add).
  • Bounty-collection rationale articulated on-page (Ch. 121 p. 9) — ‘Did you know that the bounty on your heads from long ago… is still collectable… that colossal sum of money…’first on-page combined-objective rationale for the Mr. 3-led Officer-Agent operation: kill-the-princess (Vivi) + collect-the-giant-bounty (Dorry + Brogy = 200M). The mission is dual-prong, not single-target. Cross-link Dorry Brogy Giant Pirate Warrior Band 100-Year-Old Bounty (Ch. 121 operational rationale evidence add).
  • Area-effect waxy mist wax-rain (Ch. 121 pp. 13-15) — FWIP FWIP FWIP — Mr. 3’s spinning candelabra-head rains a fine waxy mist down onto victims below, who progressively harden into wax-statues from the legs up. First on-page combat application of Mr. 3’s area-effect wax-rain against multiple immobilized targets. The fruit’s deployment-modes are now three-tiered: single-strike (Ch. 119 Nami abduction) → single-engulfment (Ch. 120 Brogy) → area-mist (Ch. 121). Cross-link Doru Doru no Mi (Ch. 121 area-effect deployment evidence add).
  • Cruelty-as-condescension register sustained through Brogy’s I knew reveal (Ch. 121 pp. 8-9, 16) — ‘Red Ogre’ (mocking address); ‘Were you weeping for your friend, or at your own stupidity?’; ‘It doesn’t matter! What’s done is done, you great fool!!’ Re-keys the Ch. 120 cruelty-as-condescension register. Mr. 3 mis-reads Brogy’s grief throughout — he assumes Brogy is grieving being deceived, not the loss of the friend who chose to fight despite injury. The mis-reading is the forward-payoff target — when Mr. 3 understands the I knew doctrine, the condescension fails.
  • Dispatches Brogy’s first vengeance-strike with a cannon-attack (Ch. 121 p. 18) — KA-BOOM!! / ‘Noisy monster!!’ — Mr. 3 fires a cannon (or candelabra-projectile) at the struggling Brogy. Pre-loads the candelabra’s offensive arsenal.
  • Cross-link Brogy (the I knew doctrine articulator; Mr. 3’s mock-target), Dorry (the saboteur-victim Mr. 3 mock-imitates), Mr. 5 (delivers Zoro + Nami), Miss Valentine (accompanies Mr. 5), Vivi (immobilized by wax-mist), Nami (delivered unconscious), Zoro (delivered unconscious), Karoo (battered, peripheral), Doru Doru no Mi (Candle Lock named-attack + Candelabra body-transformation + area-mist), Mr 3 Imprison-Then-Execute Doctrine (Ch. 121 payoff — wax-figures-with-real-souls articulation).

Little Garden (Ch. 120) — The Red Ogre Weeps — first on-page self-introduction (my codename is Mr. 3, I work with wax); first on-page giant-tier wax-engulfment (Brogy); mocks Brogy’s grief in cruelty-as-condescension register; imprison-then-execute doctrine debuts at giant-tier

  • LOAD-BEARING — first on-page self-introduction with codename + Doru Doru no Mi power-doctrine (Ch. 120 p. 10) — “My codename is Mr. 3. I work with wax. And this is my assistant Ms. Golden Week, an artist of gravity. …You’re my prisoner. And now…” The Ch. 117 self-introduction was off-stage (to Goldenweek); the Ch. 118 wax-house demo was non-verbalized; Ch. 120 is the first on-page in-character self-introduction to a target. The doctrine-articulation grammar (“I work with wax” — power-noun declarative) is the structural template every BW Officer-Agent uses when self-revealing to a target (cf. Mr. 5’s “I’m human dynamite” Ch. 111; Miss V’s “I have the power to change my weight at will” Ch. 112).
  • LOAD-BEARING — first on-page giant-tier wax-engulfment (Ch. 120 p. 10) — GLUP — Mr. 3’s wax engulfs Brogy’s head and arms. Brogy: “What!? What is this!?” First on-page Doru Doru no Mi demonstration against a giant-tier target (the Ch. 118 demo was against a jungle-lizard for show; the Ch. 119 wax-strike was against Nami for abduction). The combat-tier escalation: lizard → human Strawhat (Nami) → giant warrior (Brogy). Pre-loads the Wax-Wax House execution-chamber set-piece (Ch. 122-124). Cross-link Doru Doru no Mi (Ch. 120 giant-tier-engulfment evidence add).
  • LOAD-BEARING — imprison-then-execute doctrine articulated (Ch. 120 p. 10) — “You’re my prisoner. And now…” Mr. 3’s wax-power is deployed as imprisonment, not as a kill-strike. The wax engulfs Brogy to capture him for a forward-staged execution — contrasts pointedly with Mr. 5’s snap-detonate-the-target register. This is the villain-grammar marker that tells the reader Mr. 3 wants his victims to suffer narratively, not just die. Pre-loads the Wax-Wax House (Ch. 122-124) — a wax sculpture-execution-chamber that turns the target into a wax statue. Cross-link Mr 3 Imprison-Then-Execute Doctrine (new — load-bearing).
  • Mocks Brogy’s grief in cruelty-as-condescension register (Ch. 120 p. 9) — “You weep with joy because you won, eh? The simple-minded are so easily delighted.” — laughs at Brogy’s grief over Dorry. Re-keys his Ch. 117 brain-tier-officer / superior criminal’s greatest weapon is his brain self-coding into a theatrical-villain affect: Mr. 3 doesn’t just out-think his targets, he enjoys their misreading of their own emotions. The mock-register is the forward-payoff target for Mr. 3’s recurring antagonist-to-occasional-ally role: when Mr. 3 later drops the mock-register (Impel Down breakout, Marineford), the change-of-register signals his structural-pivot.
  • Was a spectator of the giants’ duel (Ch. 120 p. 7) — set up the wax-execution as soon as the duel’s outcome was known. His mission is forward-canon: execute Vivi after the giants distract her — the giants are bonus collateral. The Ch. 119 photograph-dossier hit-list (Vivi-centered) and the Ch. 120 wax-execution of the giants are the two operational arms of the same plan: capture-the-giants-for-bounty + kill-the-princess.
  • Cross-link Brogy (wax-engulfment victim), Miss Goldenweek (introduced alongside as the artist of gravity), Luffy (the YOUR whose grief-rage scream summons the Mr. 3 self-introduction), Doru Doru no Mi (Ch. 120 giant-tier-engulfment), Mr 3 Imprison-Then-Execute Doctrine (new — load-bearing), Miss Goldenweek Artist of Gravity Self-Tagline (new).

Little Garden (Ch. 119) — Improvise and Conquer motto canonized on-page; photograph-dossier hit-list of all five primary targets (Vivi-centered) revealed; Doru Doru no Mi first operationalized for combat-tier abduction (wax-strike removes Nami from play); boss’s secret register articulated; psychological warfare victory celebrated as Dorry is felled

  • LOAD-BEARING — Improvise and Conquer motto canonized on-page (p. 11) — “My motto is ‘improvise and conquer’!!! Heh heh heh… there are countless ways to defeat an enemy without fighting!!!” / “Victory can be achieved through psychological warfare.” Installs Mr. 3’s defining combat-doctrine in his first on-page-active-combat chapter. The motto operationalizes the Ch. 0117 brain-tier-officer / superior criminal’s greatest weapon is his brain self-coding into a field-deployment doctrinetrap-design and psychological-warfare over direct combat. Forward-payoff: the wax-prison set-piece in Ch. 120+ executes the motto literally; the Impel Down cover-arc reuses the motto as Mr. 3’s identity-anchor when he forges escape-keys for Luffy’s prison-break crew. Cross-link Mr 3 Improvise And Conquer Motto (new — load-bearing).
  • LOAD-BEARING — photograph-dossier hit-list revealed (p. 11) — Mr. 3 + Miss Goldenweek lay out a tile-floor portrait-dossier of five primary targets: Vivi at center, Luffy / Zoro / Nami / Usopp arrayed around her. First on-page external (antagonist-perspective) confirmation that Vivi is the primary target with the Strawhats compositionally as her escort. Goldenweek’s service set (her paintbrush-rendered portraits) is the dossier-vehicle. The photograph-as-dossier grammar pre-loads the Imu-defaces-Vivi’s-bounty-poster beat (~Ch. 906) — Imu later uses the same photograph-as-identity-vehicle for the same target. Cross-link Baroque Works Photograph-Dossier Targeting Methodology (new — load-bearing), Vivi (Ch. 0119 antagonist-confirmed-primacy evidence add).
  • Psychological warfare victory celebrated (pp. 10-11) — Mr. 3 gloats over the duel-result (Brogy unwittingly strikes down Dorry) and credits it as a psychological warfare win, not a combat win. The Ch. 0118-confirmed bomb-in-the-ale plot’s first operational victim is realized on-screen. Confirms Mr. 3’s trap-design has worked as designed: Dorry is felled without Mr. 3’s pair entering direct combat.
  • Boss’s secret register articulated (p. 11) — “As for the small fry who’ve learned our boss’s secret, well… with my service set, we can lure them into the jungle and pick them off one at a time.” The boss-identity-mystery deepens into a boss-has-a-specific-secret register at the Officer-Agent tier — Mr. 3 knows there is a secret but does not name the boss. Forward-payoff: the secret is Crocodile-as-Mr.-0-as-Warlord-planning-coup-against-Alabasta. Cross-link Baroque Works Boss Identity Mystery (Ch. 0119 Officer-tier evidence add), Baroque Works The Boss Off-Page Reference (Ch. 0119 Officer-tier evidence add).
  • LOAD-BEARING — Doru Doru no Mi first operationalized for combat-tier abduction (p. 14) — Nami is pulled off-panel by an unseen WIP!! wax-strike. First on-page combat-tier use of Mr. 3’s wax-Paramecia against a Strawhat target (the Ch. 0118 demo was against a jungle-lizard for show). The wax-illusion construct on p. 12 (Nami greets an apparent Sanji-decoy that is actually a wax construct) implies Mr. 3 also deployed his fruit for decoy-construction as the disorientation-vector before the abduction-strike. Cross-link Doru Doru no Mi (Ch. 0119 first-combat-use evidence add), Doru Doru no Mi First On-Page Operation Nami Abduction (new).
  • Targets Nami first — operational sequencing reveals Nami as the easiest dossier-pickoff target (geographic separation from the rest of the crew + jungle-disorientation). The dossier-pickoff sequence (Nami → others) is operationally instantiated.
  • Cross-link Miss Goldenweek (co-Officer + dossier-paintbrush vehicle), Nami (first wax-strike abduction target), Vivi (dossier-centered primary target), Doru Doru no Mi (Ch. 0119 first-combat-use), Mr 3 Improvise And Conquer Motto (new — load-bearing), Baroque Works Photograph-Dossier Targeting Methodology (new — load-bearing), Doru Doru no Mi First On-Page Operation Nami Abduction (new).

Little Garden (Ch. 118) — Doru Doru no Mi powers demonstrated on-page (architectural wax-house + 10,000 Kill-O-Press); rank-stratification within Officer Agents canonized (Mr. 3 commands Mr. 5); reveals the bomb-in-the-ale plot retroactively; 30% reward bargained; we-wouldn’t-stand-a-chance-in-a-fair-fight doctrine; Vivi-Princess identity confirmed known to Mr. 3

Little Garden (Ch. 117) — first on-page appearance; rank-card debut on Cukor Island; brain-tier-officer doctrine articulated; Mr. 2 contempt-line; receives paper directive from the boss; implied saboteur of Dorry’s ale

Post-War — with the Buggy Pirates (Ch. 593)

  • Galdino is among Buggy’s reunited crew on the isolated island (pp. 18–19).

New Era — Cross Guild (Ch. 1058)

  • Resurfaces as Galdino, “Former Baroque Works, Crocodile’s henchman,” now part of the Cross Guild (p.8). Frets over the guild’s overhead and Buggy’s debts; “the giants who were our biggest earners just left.” (p.11)

SBS reveals

Notes

  • Forward-canon name reveal: Galdino is Mr. 3’s real name, revealed much later in the series. At Ch. 117, the code-name is the only name on-page.
  • Devil Fruit deferred: Mr. 3 holds the Doru Doru no Mi (Wax-Wax Fruit) — a Paramecia producing manipulable hardened wax. The fruit is not named or demonstrated in Ch. 117; it debuts on-page in subsequent Little Garden chapters as the wax-prison combat-trap.
  • Forward-arc role: Mr. 3 leads the Little Garden arc-villain operation, deploying his Doru Doru no Mi wax-prison trap against the Strawhats in Ch. 118+. The chapter-ending ale-sabotage in Ch. 117 is his opening move; the wax-prison trap is the arc-climax payoff.
  • Number-3-shaped topknot: the digit 3 literally forms the shape of his hairstyle — Oda’s visual-design-encodes-code-name register applied at the Officer-Agent tier (compare Mr. 5’s prominent 5 logos on his zipper-coat).
