Cover-art opens the chapter (p. 1): Django’s Dance Paradise, Vol. 9: Ah! The Navy! — Django, now in Marine uniform, strolls through Mirror-Ball Island’s disco-streets holding his own WANTED — DEAD OR ALIVE — DJANGO — 9,000,000 poster.

The Lapin pack ass-up in the snowdrifts (PLOP!! PLOP!! PLOP!!, p. 2). Luffy and Sanji crest the ridge after escaping the pack from Ch. 135 and find the rabbits doing rhythmic butt-thumps into the snowpack. Luffy: “I thought they’d given up… what’re they doing?” Sanji (eyes blown wide): “They can’t be!!!”

Dalton appears and decapitates Wapol (pp. 7-8). A sword-arm reaches in (SH-EEN!! / WUK!!) and takes Wapol’s head off in one stroke. Wapol’s body topples (UGH!!); a soldier wails “He slashed me! I’m going to die!!!” — and Dalton steps forward, in full armored regalia, twin sheathed-blades crossed at his back: “Go ahead and die. I came here to kill you.”

Wapol’s head is reattached by his Twenty Doctors (pp. 9-10). Wapol’s medical retinue — “Twenty doctors, external injury squad!!” — produces a hammer, steel plate, needles, and a scalpel (TAK TAK / KRUNK / SNIK SNIK) and reattaches the head (TA-DAH!!). Cliffhanger — avalanche (pp. 18-19). High on the mountain, Luffy and Sanji feel the rumble first. Sanji finally pieces it together: “They’ve gone and done it, those darned rabbits!” — the Lapin pack’s butt-thumping has triggered an avalanche. Sanji: “Anywhere!! Open questions raised

Who was the former king of Drum — Wapol’s father — to whom Dalton was indebted? Named on p. 12 only as “the former king” — never given a name in this chapter. The former king is implied to have been a king of integrity (Dalton’s loyalty is sincere); Wapol’s tyranny is the corruption of inheritance. Forward-canon question: who was this king, and how did he die or step down?
What are Dalton’s specific weaknesses that the Three Officers know? Chess and Kuromarimo claim “We know your weaknesses” (p. 15). The on-page payoff is the can’t fight when his own people are present dynamic (the villagers’ arrival in p. 16 is the trigger for Dalton being shot). But the plural (weaknesses) hints at more — likely the Zoan-form’s specific vulnerabilities.
What does the Twenty Doctors / External Injury Squad actually do off-Wapol? The squad is named (p. 9) but introduced solely in the head-reattachment context. What’s their actual role — pure body-guarding-the-king, or the kingdom’s medical core? The flashback (p. 11) says they worked in the castle research laboratory — what research was being done?
Why is Dr. Kureha already in Drum Castle? Per Kuromarimo’s report (p. 6), Kureha “had the audacity to occupy your castle” — but Ch. 134-135 had her treating patients in Cocoaweed and reportedly heading for Gyasta. Did she change course, or was Kuromarimo’s intel based on her permanent residence (the mountain castle of Ch. 133)? The forward-canon answer is the latter — she lives there.
Will Luffy and Sanji survive the avalanche carrying the ill Nami? The cliffhanger stakes are the Ch. 135 combat-shock would kill Nami premise pushed to its limit — an avalanche is much worse than combat-shock.
How does the Vivi/Usopp/Zoro Gyasta team converge with the doctor (who is actually in Drum Castle)? The party-split assumes the doctor is in Gyasta; she’s actually in Drum Castle. The arc’s collision-geometry is now mis-aligned by one location.
Was the Drum Kingdom’s advanced medical science reputation real? The outsider reputation was “a land of advanced medical science” (p. 11) — but the on-page reveal is that the medical infrastructure was a hostage regime. Was the science real (just monopolized), or was the international reputation itself a fraud? Forward-canon: Hiriluk and Kureha’s work suggests the medical knowledge was real.
