Where are the three Ancient Weapons — Pluton, Poseidon, Uranus — and what exactly are they?

Etymology — the god-named triad (earth / sea / sky)

The three weapons are a closed Greco-Roman cosmological set, each named for the god of one of the three domains:

The triad is earth(underworld) → sea → sky = death → ocean → heaven. Pluton’s selection as the death/underworld member is itself foreshadowing: it pre-keys the weapon to mass-extinction firepower and to being buried (Pluto rules what is under the earth). Crocodile’s Ch. 0193 on-page gloss — “Named for the god of death, it was the most terrible weapon of the ancient world” — is the series’ first explicit confirmation that the weapon-names are not arbitrary but encode their gods. In Kozuki Sukiyaki’s secret chamber under the Flower Capital palace, Sukiyaki tells Nico Robin and Trafalgar Law that deep beneath the Wano Road Poneglyph is “where the Ancient Weapon Pluton is said to rest” (p. 8). He frames Oden’s “open the borders” creed as also meaning tearing down Wano’s protective walls and unleashing an Ancient Weapon onto the world — “in order to retrieve Pluton… the walls will need to be torn down” (p. 9). They state it plainly: “that Princess Shirahoshi called us… We lent him our aid because you called us. At the courthouse drawbridge, Spandam seizes Robin and orders Cutty Flam (Franky) brought too, naming Franky on-page as “the one who inherited the blueprint for said weapon” (pp. 8–9) — the villains’-side restatement that the WG holds the two keys to the Ancient Weapon. Franky then reveals he carried the real Pluton blueprints hidden on his body (“It’s the real thing… Lucci, Kaku, you guys should know,” pp. 9–10) and burns them to ash (pp. 12–13), declaring the architect Tom’s logic: the plans were a hereditary “opposing force” / “counter-force,” but “the moment the blueprint becomes public, it must be destroyed” so no “idiot who would go berserk with power” can ever build the weapon. The physical Pluton plans no longer exist; the hunt that has run since @0344 is resolved. The new stakes are stated explicitly — “now the power to counter the weapon is gone… if Nico Robin falls into your hands, we’re doomed” (p. 13) — reducing the WG’s “two keys” (@0375/@0382) to one: only Robin, the lone Poneglyph-reader, could now lead anyone to the weapon. The flashback delivers the trial for the crime named Ch. 353: Tom is condemned to death “for the crime of building the Pirate King’s ship!!!” — the judge: “Death is the only fitting punishment” (pp. 2–3). “Pluton” named on-page in Water Seven (first time in arc). Iceberg names the hidden plans as “a weapon of the ancient world, the PLUTON” — “Pluton is the name of a battleship that was built on this island Water Seven] a long time ago” (pp. 13–15). The “blueprints for a certain ship” from Ch. 343 are confirmed as Pluton’s blueprints. Origin/purpose lore: the ancient shipwrighting engineers feared the weapon was “too powerful” / could “go out of control,” so they judged “an opposing force would be needed” and preserved the blueprints shipwright-to-shipwright across generations to serve as a counter-weapon (pp. 14–15) — the title concept. The plans reached Iceberg from his master Tom (p. 15). The government wants them; Iceberg argues “you can’t expect weapons to bring peace” and “the evils of the past should not be reawakened” (pp. 12–13). CP9’s true objective is named as the hidden “blueprints for a certain ship,” plans “passed down secretly from master to apprentice, from shipwright to shipwright, for generations” (pp. 9, 14). Iceberg is named as the secret keeper and Paulie as the heir he entrusted them to (p. 14); CP9 order Nico Robin to kill Iceberg once the plans are secured (p. 15). The World Government dispatching its covert CP9 to assassinate a town mayor over these ship plans signals the ship is no ordinary vessel — by inference, the Ancient Weapon Pluton. “Pluton” is NOT spoken in this chapter — file as a forward-loading inference, not a naming event (the name “Pluton,” “Tom,” and “blueprints”→Pluton binding are forward @0344–0346). Robin deciphers the Alabasta poneglyph (first poneglyph reading in the series) and recites only Alabastan dynastic history — telling Crocodile “There’s no mention at all of the Pluton.” (pp. 6-7). The Ch. 0193 poneglyph-as-Pluton-location plan fails at the read; the location stays hidden. Crocodile, however, declares “I know from Cobra’s reaction that the Pluton does indeed exist” (p. 11) and vows to find it himself once Alabasta is his. Forward-canon twist: Robin is later revealed to have lied — the poneglyph held Pluton (blueprint) data she concealed — making this the first on-page instance of Robin gatekeeping Ancient-Weapon knowledge. Cobra leads Crocodile and Robin down a hidden stairway under the Royal Mausoleum (tomb of the royal family, west of the palace) to a domed chamber holding a stone poneglyph cube. Crocodile: “Your poneglyph here reveals the location of the Pluton.” (p. 7). Cobra: “Generations of Alabastan kings have been entrusted with protecting the poneglyph. That is our only duty.” (p. 7). Crocodile, to Cobra: “One shot of it can vaporize an entire island to smithereens. …Pluton. …And it’s sleeping somewhere in this kingdom. Ch. 649 pp. 16-19 — ⭐⭐ POSEIDON NAMED ON-PAGE as Shirahoshi

In her private feast-side interrogation of the drunken King Neptune, Nico Robin reveals she read the Poneglyph in the Forest of the Sea (“I am a survivor of Ohara”) and connects it to a sky-island Poneglyph she read two years ago (Shandora/Skypiea, Ch. 301) recording an Ancient Weapon’s location — “and that location was HERE” (p. 18). Neptune confirms the Ryugu royal legend: Shirahoshi, the once-a-few-centuries mermaid who can command the Neptunians (Sea Kings), “will now inherit [the name] as her own” — her other name is, in fact… POSEIDON, the Ancient Weapon” (p. 19). Robin lands the name with him. This is the first on-page binding of “Poseidon” to a living person — resolving the Shirahoshi Poseidon Ancient-Weapon Seed Cluster and confirming the sea-domain leg of the god-named triad (a being who commands the Sea Kings). In the Otohime flashback, the six-year-old Princess Shirahoshi, in terror, unconsciously summons a host of giant Neptunians (Sea Kings) over Fish-Man Island. The fish-men name it “the legend”: “Long ago, a ‘mermaid princess’ had the uncanny ability to control Neptunians” (p. 14).
