- Name meaning
- *Uisukī Pīku* (ウイスキーピーク) = literal English 'Whisky Peak' — the town sits at the foot of the giant **cactus-mountain peaks** (Cactus Island's signature geography), and is famous for its **whisky / liquor production** (the town's cover-business — booze-and-bounty-hunter tavern register; the welcome-banquet at the town center plies all visitors with whisky). The full naming chamber is consistent: Whisky Peak is the first stop on a route called *Whisky Peak → Little Garden → Drum → Alabasta*, and several arc destinations are food/drink-themed (cf. *Spice Bean*, *Cocoaweed*). Also the bounty-hunter cover-town's drunken-celebrate-then-rob register makes 'whisky' a load-bearing pun: the visitors are **whiskied into unconsciousness** before being captured. The 'peak' is literal (cactus-rock peaks).
Grand Line — first island (Route 1) · first named: Ch. 105
Profile
A town on the Grand Line’s first island. Named on-page in Ch. 105 page 16 by Ms. Wednesday as the destination for Mr. 9 / Ms. Wednesday after their Log Pose breaks on the Twin Cape. Crocus warns the Straw Hats not to trust the pair.
Forward-canon: Whisky Peak is a Baroque Works front-town — the entire population is Baroque Works agents masquerading as welcoming townsfolk. The town operates as a bounty-hunter trap for pirates entering the Grand Line — agents pose as overly-friendly townsfolk to drug arriving pirates and harvest their bounties. The reveal lands at ~Ch. 107-109.
Etymology
Whisky Peak — the alcohol-themed-Baroque-Works-town-name convention installed in seed form. Baroque Works front-businesses recur with alcohol / cocktail names (Whisky / Rainbase / Spider’s Café / Catfish-on-the-Sea). The naming-pattern itself is a Baroque-Works tell — when a town’s name is alcohol-coded in the Alabasta-saga region, it’s likely a Baroque Works front.
The Peak suffix encodes the town’s geographic register — cactus-spired-mesa skyline.

Three named officer-tier combat-attacks canonized (Bat of Guts / Home-Run Hide-a-Bat / Igarappa / Igarap-pappa / Vertigo Dance / Peacock Slasher).
