Summary

Open questions raised

Has Luffy actually died? (pp. 19-20) — the chapter ends on the impalement with no on-screen breath / heartbeat indicator. Forward-canon: no, Karoo rescues him — but the cliffhanger is genuine for a single-chapter read.
Where will the Sables sandstorm actually land? (pp. 15-18) — the chapter shows the wind shifting south but Rainbase market is panicking that it might still hit them. Yuba is named as the target, but the trajectory is in-motion.
Why doesn’t water just work — i.e., why doesn’t Luffy splash water in Crocodile’s face? (pp. 11-12) — Luffy uses the water on his own arm to undo the desiccation, but does not deploy it offensively against Crocodile. Forward-canon: Luffy hasn’t connected water-on-Crocodile-solidifies-the-sand yet — that mechanic is forward-canon to the arc-climax rematches.
Does Crocodile know the Yuba-water-cure trick exists? (p. 12) — his ‘You still want to fight?’ reaction reads as surprise that the mummification was reversed; he does not have a counter to it on the fly.
Is Karoo strong enough to rescue an impaled Luffy alone? (p. 19-20) — the final-panel silhouette implies a duck-vs-Warlord pickup scenario that the chapter does not resolve.
Have Sanji and Chopper just not been spotted by Smoker, or are the disguises actually working? (pp. 15-16) — Smoker is on-page in the same crowd as disguised Strawhats. The disguises (sunglasses + bandana for Sanji; sunglasses for Chopper) are visibly weak; the chapter does not show Smoker noticing them, but does not exonerate the disguises either.
How long until the Sables storm matures into cataclysmic power? (p. 18) — Crocodile’s unbounded escalation claim is not given a clock.
Why does the front-cover-page Miss Doublefinger have a turtle on a leash? (p. 1) — the Bunchi-with-Paula civilian-attire pairing implies a personal/domestic relationship between the officer and the Sand-Sand Band’s transport-turtle. Forward-canon: ambiguous.
