• **Chapter 158: Landing in Alabasta** — title-splash + cover-story (p. 1). The Straw Hats are finally in Alabasta — Vivi's homeland, the Crocodile-targeted desert kingdom — after the Whisky-Peak → Little-Garden → Drum voyage. The title is the literal arc-transition marker.
• **Nanohana** — the Alabasta port-of-entry — named and shown on-page for the first time (pp. 2, 3, 14). Coastal desert city with white-stone domed architecture, minaret-style spires, palm trees, camels. The first on-page Alabasta-mainland location.
• **Spice Bean restaurant** — named-and-shown set-piece (p. 7) where the Strawhats split off to eat and the Smoker/Ace collision occurs.
• **Yuba** — oasis town named on-page as the rebel base (p. 16). Vivi: *'It's an oasis known as Yuba.'* The rebel leader is the mission-target: *'So, we're going to their base and find their leader. ...First of all, we have to stop the rebels... before they bathe this land in blood!!'* First on-page Yuba canonization as the arc's first sub-destination.
• **ACE — first on-page appearance** (pp. 4-20). Black hat with two smiling/frowning visor-badges, orange shorts, no shirt, bead necklace, dagger, freckled face. Eating non-stop at the Spice Bean. Looking for *another pirate* (pp. 5-6). Reveals himself to be a **Logia fire-user** in the chapter's climax (pp. 18-19, *Sun Flare!!! / FWOO~O*); the *Mera Mera no Mi* is not yet named on-page. **Named at the chapter-close by Luffy** (p. 19, *'ACE!?'*) — first on-page utterance of the name *Ace*. Luffy's wide-eyed cold-sweat recognition + Ace's deadpan *'Eh, Luffy?'* + Nami's chorus *'Who is that!?'* sets up the **brother/family reveal** for the next chapter.
• **Smoker has landed in Alabasta** (pp. 4-12). Smoker is in Nanohana, in Marine fatigues with Justice coat, two cigars, two jitte. He arrived ahead of the Strawhats — pays off the Ch. 128 *Set a course for Alabasta* pursuit-lock declaration. He's tracking another pirate (Ace) when Luffy crashes into him. *'STRAW HAT!!!'* (p. 9). Smoker activates Moku-Moku (*White Snake!!!*, p. 13; *White Fist!!!*, p. 18) against the fleeing Luffy.
• **Ace is hunting another pirate at the start of the chapter** (pp. 5-6) — Smoker tries to arrest him; Ace deflects with *'I'm looking for another pirate right now. I'm not interested in your head.'* — Ace is in Nanohana on a **target-hunt** of his own, NOT to confront Smoker. Frames Ace as a Logia-tier free-agent pirate-hunting another pirate; the target is Blackbeard (forward-canon; not yet named).
• **Tashigi is here too** (pp. 11-12). Reports to Smoker in the restaurant aftermath: *'Y-yes, sir, Captain Smoker!! Need a towel!? It's very hot here.'* Smoker orders her: *'Tashigi!! Assemble the troops immediately!!! Search every corner of the city!!'* (p. 13) — Marine ground operation underway in Nanohana.
• **Mr. 3's wax-ship spotted off the Alabasta coast** (p. 3) — *'WAIT, THAT'S...!!! ...MR. 3'S SHIP!!!'* / *'That ship runs on Mr. 3's wax-wax powers.'* / Nami: *'You mean that jerk is still alive!?'* / Vivi: *'He's somewhere in this kingdom.'* — confirms Mr. 3 survived the Little-Garden Wax-Wax-House defeat (Ch. 0126) and has reached Alabasta independently. Pre-loads a Mr. 3 forward-encounter.
• **Logia-vs-Logia first stalemate** (p. 19) — Ace: *'You may be smoke, but I'm fire.'* / *'We're too evenly matched to settle this now.'* — first on-page articulation of the Logia-class-elemental-stalemate doctrine (smoke vs. fire = neutralizing match). Pre-loads forward Logia-pairing combat-mechanics (Ace vs. Aokiji, Crocodile vs. Magellan, etc.).
• **Vivi's dancer-disguise — Egyptian-coded civilian-blend** (pp. 14-15). Sanji has shopped Egyptian-style dancer outfits for Vivi and Nami: bandeau-top + low-slung wraparound skirt + jeweled belt + barefoot/sandals. Vivi: *'No one will ever dream you're a princess and a pirate dressed like that.'* The princess hides in plain sight as a dancer — fully Egyptian-encoded wardrobe register canonized for the Alabasta arc.
• **Chopper has joined the Strawhats fully and is in Alabasta** (pp. 8, 14, 15) — small reindeer form, present with the crew. His scent-sensitivity is canonized: *'Chopper's nose is very sensitive.'* / *'And Nanohana is famous for its perfumes. It's no wonder.'* (p. 15) — Nanohana-as-perfume-trade-city worldbuilding tell.
