Profile

A World Noble / Celestial Dragon — the first World Noble shown moving through Sabaody Archipelago’s lawless groves in person (Ch. 499 pp. 10-11; the caste was first depicted on-page Ch. 497 via his father Saint Roswald and sister Saint Shalria at the auction registration). Son of Saint Roswald; brother of Saint Shalria.

Arc-by-arc updates

Reverie flashback (Ch. 1084)

  • Captures and chains Shirahoshi as a pet, threatening her; praised by his father Roswald (“Well done, Charlos!”) (pp. 10–11).
  • Orders his slave Kuma to kill Myosgard; struck down by Sai’s “Dragon Nail” — “The murder of a Celestial Dragon!!” The on-page depiction of the “attempted murder of St. Charlos” later referenced Ch. 1054 (pp. 13–15). (last_appearance HOLD Ch. 908 — flashback.)

Reverie flashback (Ch. 1083) — flashback-shown

Reverie aftermath — attempted murder (Ch. 1054) — reported

  • Navy HQ debates whether “the attempted murder of St. Charlos” can be considered solved; “the Holy Knights have intervened” (p. 17). See Holy Knights.

Reverie (Ch. 908) — shown

  • Carried into Pangaea Castle injured (“St. Charlos has been injured!! He requires immediate medical assistance!!”); his father Saint Roswald rushes to him (pp. 5–6).

Reverie — chains Shirahoshi, struck down by Mjosgard (Ch. 907)

  • Captures and chains Shirahoshi as a “pet mermaid” at Pangaea Castle, ordering CP0 to “kill them” when the royals resist (pp. 9-14). Struck down by his fellow World Noble Saint Myosgard (pp. 14-15).

Reverie (Ch. 906)

Sabaody Archipelago — carried off unconscious (Ch. 503)

  • In the aftermath of Luffy’s punch (landed Ch. 502), he lies unconscious and is carried off by guards as his family screams that “even Father has never laid a hand on him!!” (page 7) — underscoring the unprecedented insult of a commoner striking a World Noble.

Sabaody Archipelago — the auction house & the punch (Ch. 502)

  • First named on-page (page 3, “Saint Charlos!” / “A Celestial Dragon…”; restated page 10) — arrives at the Grove 1 Human Auctioning House with his (unnamed-this-chapter) father and sister, demanding “I want a mermaid” while picking his nose (pp. 2-3).
  • Outbids the Straw Hats’ 200 million with 500 million for Camie (page 8); the hall falls “SILENCE” the instant he bids. Camie is sold to him outright (pp. 8-10).
  • Calls a free fish-man slave a “bargain”; when Hatchan is outed as a fish-man, a World Noble shoots him and Charlos shoots him repeatedly (pp. 14-17, “I killed the fish-man! Mwa ha ha ha!”). See Fish-Men, Slavery.
  • Punched in the face by Luffy (pages 18–19, “POW!! …UGHHH!!!”) — the first commoner to strike a World Noble on-page (“the punch heard round the world”). Pays into Harming A Celestial Dragon Summons An Admiral and A Straw Hat Draws On A Celestial Dragon.

Sabaody Archipelago — the parade through Grove 24 (Ch. 499)

Notes

  • Son of the World-Noble Saint Roswald and brother of Saint Shalria; the family is later canonized as Families/Roswald (wired forward @0503 — do not fork it here).
  • Named (not shown) Ch. 500: at the Human Auction Hall, attendants remark “Charlos is late… it’s because he rides that human” (he uses a human mount, judged slower than a fish-man) (p. The 0500 reader’s ## Create [[Characters/Charlos]] MERGES here .
  • Etymology resolved — see frontmatter etymology block: Ferdinand VII inspiration; Carlos/Charles royal name; 聖 male-World-Noble honorific.
