Jinbei

Jinbei is the longest-deferred Straw Hat recruitment seed in the series. He eventually joins the crew in Ch. 1058 (Wano arc), ~989 chapters after his Ch. 69 name-install. The Ch. 69 named-as-Warlord-and-Arlong-releaser register pre-loads the moral-arc of his character: he is a fish-man who chose to deal with the World Government to mitigate fish-man oppression, and the Arlong-release is the morally-compromised price he paid.

Fish-Man Island — the road toward the sun (Ch. 648)
