Profile

Koala — a young human girl the Sun Pirates freed from Celestial Dragon slavery at Marijoa. Traumatized into compulsive servility (“you gotta break yourself of working when you get nervous!”), she is healed by the crew’s kindness and returned to her hometown Foolshout Island on the Grand Line, vowing to tell her village “lots of fish-men are good people.” Fisher Tiger frames her — “youngsters like Koala who know nothing of the past” — as the hope that could break the human/fish-man hatred cycle. Unknown to the crew, her rescue was the bait Foolshout’s people used to set the Navy ambush that mortally wounds Tiger.
