Summary

The Holy Knights press their assault on Elbaf. Having captured Saul and part of the Straw Hat crew (Nami, Usopp, Brook, Jinbei, Franky) and kidnapped ten giant children as hostages, the Holy Knight Sommers broadcasts a message across all of Elbaf, naming himself “a dagger sent straight from sacred Marijoa” and declaring the World Government’s aim: to break Elbaf and make the giants its “slaves in battle.” A power that materializes people’s worst fears as monsters (“sleep-tids”) crashes the Giant Pirates’ ship the Svarr and shatters giant morale — the giants’ comic worst fear turning out to be their own wives. Brook refuses to become Gunko’s songwriting slave (“I would rather die than live without honor”). The force-marched children — Ylva, Karin, Olav, Skaldi, Ronja, Mag, Bjorn, Johanna, Bent, and the little hero Collun (revealed to be Ripley’s son) — cannot control their own feet. Sommers issues an ultimatum: burn down the Owl Library and school and swear fealty, or the children die one at a time. Chief Jarul, de facto leader with no king on the throne, must make the call — while Nico Robin, told to stay hidden, instead resolves to defend the library that holds Ohara’s rescued knowledge: “I won’t let them do this!!!”
