Summary
The chapter cross-cuts three converging plotlines against a ticking clock (10
PM → 12 AM). In a flashback to Luffy’s Rusukaina training, Rayleigh teaches him Color of Observation Haki — “there is a will to every attack,” a presence to be sensed — and reveals that among the mightiest in the world are some who “can see a little bit into the future,” sensing the actions another person will take; Luffy vows to train with everything he has and Rayleigh warns he’s setting himself up for “a world of pain” (p2-5). In the present Mirro-World, an exhausted Luffy and Katakuri trade Gear-Fourth blows as Luffy’s transformation “burns” out, both crashing through the checkered floor (p6-8). At sea, Capone Bege’s Firetank Pirates have secured the giant cake to placate Big Mom; Bege and Chiffon argue whether to dump it on Liqueur Island or lure her farther to Fluffy Island, since a sated Big Mom would resume chasing Nami’s ship (p9-10). On the Thousand Sunny, Jinbei steers as a craving-mad Big Mom and a gigantified Smoothie bear down; Nami, Brook, Chopper and Carrot scramble while wondering whether Sanji and Luffy have succeeded (p11-12). Sanji and Pudding push the cake toward the island’s edge — Pudding teasing “they’ll think we’re husband and wife” — and Sanji vows, “I’m gonna save my captain!!” (p13). On Cacao Island the Charlotte siblings gather like a festival to ambush Luffy in ~one hour: Oven directs while Snack, Yuien, Raisin, Joconde, Brownie and the Decuplets assemble, mirrors smashed so Luffy can’t escape Brulee’s world (p14-15). At 12 AM, the spent duelists square off for the finish — Katakuri “it’s time to end this,” Luffy “Yes… I accept” — and Luffy declares “Gear Fourth… Snakeman!!!” (p16-17).New reveals
- The origin of Luffy’s future-sight: the Rusukaina flashback establishes that Rayleigh explicitly told Luffy the strongest Color-of-Observation-Haki users “can see a little bit into the future” and can “sense the actions another person will take” — and that reaching “that level” is beyond two years’ training (p4). This is the seed for the very ability Luffy is now scrambling to grasp against Katakuri.
- Gear Fourth: Snakeman is named for the first time at the cliffhanger; only Luffy’s transforming legs are shown — the form itself is withheld (p17).
- Charlotte Snack appears on-page for the first time — captioned 25th son, “Former Sweet 4,” bounty 600,000,000 Berries (p15). Previously only named (Ch 0843).
- Newly-named Charlotte siblings at Cacao Island: Yuien (35th son), Raisin (33rd son), Joconde (27th daughter), Brownie (32nd son), plus the Decuplets (36th–40th sons & 30th–34th daughters) — all marshalled by Oven, an established sibling directing the operation, not a debut here (p14-15).
- The siblings destroyed the island’s mirrors to deny Luffy a Mirro-World escape onto Cacao (p15), and lament losing telepathic Den-Den-Mushi coordination.
- Bege wants to dump the cake on the closer Liqueur Island and escape fast (“we gotta think about ourselves”); Chiffon objects that Liqueur is too close — a cured Big Mom there would still have time to resume hunting the Sunny — and pushes to lure her farther out to Fluffy Island, which Bege resists (p9-10).

Open questions raised
- What is the form and power of Gear Fourth: Snakeman?
- Can Luffy actually attain the future-sight Rayleigh described in time to overcome Katakuri’s precognition?
- Will the cake reach Big Mom before she sinks the Sunny — and will a cured Big Mom simply resume the hunt?
- Can Luffy break out of the Mirro-World and survive the Charlotte ambush waiting on Cacao Island?
