Chapter 1018: Jimbei vs. Who's-Who

On the Live Floor of Onigashima, Otama’s cheek-dango command has flipped roughly 300 Headliners and Gifters to the samurai side; she escapes the targeting enemy aboard her tamed Gifters (a scorpion ally, “Daifugo,” and “Horselina”) after Komachiyo is knocked out, reuniting with Nami and Usopp (p. 2-4). Two unnamed CP-0 agents observe the raid like a game of Reversi, reciting the casualty math (30,000 → 20,000; 16,000 vs 9,000) and noting there is “one death we must confirm” before it ends (p. 5-6). The rest of the chapter is the Jimbei vs. Who’s-Who duel on the Fourth Floor: Who’s-Who deploys the full Six Powers (Rokushiki) and reveals his grudge — twelve years ago Red-Haired Shanks’s crew stole the Gum-Gum Fruit he was guarding, and Luffy inherited both the fruit and the straw hat from Shanks (p. 7). Mid-fight, Who’s-Who recounts the legend he clung to during his imprisonment: the Sun God, Nika (silhouette, p. 12) — a warrior slaves once prayed to who would free them and bring them smiles — and demands Jimbe tell him everything, since Jimbe led the Sun Pirates (p. 11-14). Jimbe refuses (“I have nothing to say to the likes of you!!”) and counters with Fish-Man Karate, the chapter closing on his Secret Art: Demon Brick Fist landing as Who’s-Who’s beast form looms (p. 15-17).

• The Sun God, Nika is named on-page (Who’s-Who, p. 11-12): a figure slaves “in the long-distant past” prayed to — a legendary warrior they believed would one day free them, bring smiles to their faces, and deliver them from suffering. Shown only as a dynamic black silhouette (p. 12).
