Onigashima
- Name
- 鬼ヶ島 (Onigashima)
- Region
- Wano Country (New World)
- First seen
- Ch. 920
- Name meaning
- **鬼ヶ島 (Onigashima)** = 'Island of Ogres/Demons' — 鬼 *oni* 'ogre/demon' + ヶ (connective) + 島 *shima* 'island.' Lifted straight from the **Momotarō** folktale: Onigashima is the demons' island the peach-boy hero and his animal retainers sail to and raid to free the oppressed. The parallel is deliberate — Momonosuke (← Momotarō) and his allies plan to raid this Onigashima, Kaido's base, exactly as Momotarō raided the ogres. Reinforces Wano's running Momotarō motif (Otama's kibi-dango taming power; Kibi).
