Summary

Two weeks after the Paramount War, its shockwaves ripple across the world — pirates flood toward the Grand Line and the Marines scramble reinforcements. On Amazon Lily, deep in the Calm Belt, the recovering Luffy is being treated by Trafalgar Law’s Heart Pirates, who were granted a rare exception to the island’s men-ban to anchor in Rocky Bay. Emporio Ivankov and the Impel Down escapees sail off thanking “Straw Hat” for their freedom, while Jinbei stays to see Luffy recover — honoring Ace’s dying plea to look after his little brother. Hancock, lovesick and overruled by her sisters and the Kuja elders, resolves to bring Luffy a mountain of food. Luffy wakes, rampages in grief, and finally forces Jinbei to confirm aloud that Ace is dead and the war is over. His agony triggers the start of the childhood flashback: ten years ago, Garp hauls young Luffy — already a rubber-man — to the Dadan Family, the mountain bandits of Mt. Corvo, demanding they raise him into “the strongest Navy man ever.” Curly Dadan makes her first on-page appearance, already overwhelmed by her other ward — the freckled, glaring ten-year-old “Portgaz D. Ace.”
