Six Powers (Rokushiki)

What we know

• Ch. 1101 (p. 16): Six Powers wielded by a CP8 agent in the Kuma flashback. The World-Government agent Alpha (Cipher Pol No. 8) attacks Bonney’s escaping ship with “the government fighting style, the Six Powers,” flying at the ship (Moon Walk/Geppo + Tempest Kick/Rankyaku-style). Extends the on-page Six Powers user base to CP8. RE-deployment of existing forms — do NOT re-first.
• Ch. 427 (pp. 9–11): Rokuogan is DODGED for the first time. Lucci charges a second Rokuogan (“Six King Pistol”) but Luffy reads it and EVADES the two-palm point-blank strike (“I won’t take that again…”, p. 10) — establishing that the capstone finisher, though decisive @0425, can be slipped once telegraphed. Separately, Lucci declares “LIFE RETURN RELEASE!!” (p. 9) — a CP9 body-control discipline that is NOT one of the Six Powers (a separate hermit body-control art, see Life Return (Seimei Kikan)); recorded as adjacent context only, NOT a new Rokushiki form. • Ch. 425 (pp. 15–17): Rokuogan (“Six King Pistol”, VIZ) — the SEVENTH named Six Powers technique and the first Rokushiki finisher shown on-page. Lucci frames it as the capstone of the system: “Six Powers Supreme… our strongest technique… what happens when the Six Powers are taken to their extreme” (pp. 15–16). It is a two-palm point-blank strike that sends a shockwave through the target’s body and detonates internally rather than on the surface, dropping Gear-Second/Third-tier Luffy (in his leopard-hybrid form). Luffy diagnoses the mechanic: “It’s like the impact dials… on Sky Island, but WAY more powerful!!” (p. 17), tying it to Impact Dial absorbed-impact physics. First named + first shown @0425. • Ch. 417 (pp. 13, 16–17): The strongest Tempest Kick (Rankyaku) variant shown to date — “Sky Slicer.” Kaku, in his giraffe-Zoan form, names his strongest Tempest Kick (Rankyaku) “Sky Slicer” — a wide slicing air-blade he claims can “cut through the tower.” He also chains a “Tempest Kick Shuriken” (multiple small slicing blades, p. 13), and layers Iron Body (Tekkai) and Moon Walk (Geppo) (“jumped to a higher floor”) onto his transformed body. • Ch. 416 (pp. 12, 14/18): Rokushiki blended with a TRANSFORMED Zoan body. Kaku, in his giraffe-man form, layers Rokushiki onto the Zoan: Tempest Kick (Rankyaku, pp. 12/16), Iron Body (“perfect cube” hardening, p. 12), and a Finger-Pistol-class Nose Pistol delivered down his elongated giraffe neck (pp. 14/18). First on-page demonstration of the Six Powers fused with a transformed Zoan body (Jabra @0415 layered them onto his hybrid form; Kaku does it in full-animal/man-beast giraffe form). • Ch. 415 (p. 15): Iron Body (Tekkai)‘s blunt-force immunity does NOT extend to heat. Jabra fights Sanji in his wolf-Zoan hybrid form, layering canine attacks onto his Six Powers base (Iron Body, a “Moonlight Ten Finger Pistol” Shigan-variant) — reinforcing the Ch. 349 doctrine that Rokushiki and a Zoan transformation are independent, stackable systems. New limit established: Sanji’s superheated Diable Jambe burns straight through Iron Body (“Iron Body doesn’t work at all!!”, “Even my bones are hot!”). • Ch. 414 (pp. 12, 17): Tekkai (Iron Body) normally cannot be maintained while moving — Jabra claims to be “the only user of the Six Powers who can move with Iron Body applied to his whole being.” His “Iron Body Kung Fu / Wolf Fang Stance” is the personal exception, letting him attack while hardened. (He also re-deploys Ten Finger Pistol (Shigan variant) and Tempest Kick Lone Wolf (Rankyaku) vs Sanji.) No new base technique named — MERGE evidence; all first named Ch. 347/Ch. 348.
• Ch. 413: Jabra uses Ten Finger Pistol (a multi-finger Shigan variant) against Usopp/Sogeking (p. 13), flooring him. Re-deployment of the Finger-Pistol (Shigan) technique family first NAMED Ch. 347 — MERGE evidence; no new first.
• Ch. 408: Kalifa uses Shave (Soru) and Moon Walk (Geppo) against Nami (p. 9); Kumadori uses Iron Body (Tekkai) against the Chopper-monster (p. 12). No new technique named — MERGE evidence; all first named Ch. 347/Ch. 348.
• Ch. 347 (p. 9): Six Powers / Rokushiki is “a martial art which, at the culmination of training, makes the human body equal to a weapon.” A master of the art is “as strong as 100 men.”
• Ch. 347 (p. 9): It is the source of CP9’s superhuman strength — “we’re trained in an art that goes beyond anything you can imagine.” This recasts the long-running “Galley-La shipwrights too strong for carpenters” tell (Galley-La Company) as Rokushiki training, not shipwrighting.
• Ch. 347: Three named techniques are demonstrated on-page (by Rob Lucci against Paulie and Luffy):
  • Finger Pistol (“Shigan”) — a jabbing fingertip thrust that pierces flesh like a bullet (“if you were normal, you’d have a hole in your neck”; pp. 7, 12–13). Named @0347.
  • Iron Body (“Tekkai”) — full-body hardening that negates blunt-force attacks; no-sells Luffy’s Gum-Gum Gatling (“it’s not affecting him at all!!”, p. 11). Named @0347 (the same body-hardening was shown unnamed Ch. 344 when a masked agent shattered Tilestone’s steel hammer).

• A fourth technique, Tempest Kick (“Rankyaku”) — a slashing kick that sends a blade of compressed air — was shown Ch. 345 (a “Tempest Kick” slices a mansion wall, p. 6) and is NAMED on-page for the first time Ch. 348 (pp. 7–8): “With a swift enough kick, it’s possible to create a devastating ‘scythe wind.’ That is the Tempest Kick.” — Lucci slices the mansion wall in two.

• Ch. 348: CP9 state the system outright — “we gained six superhuman fighting skills through that training,” trained “for as long as we can remember,” and “the full extent of our powers is classified” (pp. 17–18).
• Ch. 373 (pp. 9–12): CP9 membership requires mastery of the entire Six Powers repertoire. The trainee Nero has mastered only four (“a four powers fighter”); Lucci kills him, declaring “You’re only superhuman… if you have the entire Six Powers repertoire down” and “Everything about you is a work in progress. CP9 doesn’t need you.” First on-page statement that partial Rokushiki mastery is disqualifying for CP9 — completing the @0372 graded-mastery reveal (Nero’s incomplete Finger Pistol) with the institutional consequence (the bar is all six, and failing it is fatal).

Chronology / structure

The system itself is named/defined Ch. 347; the full enumeration of how many techniques comprise the Six Powers is not yet stated on-page. Rokuogan / Six King Pistol (Ch. 425) is the first named finisher — a “strongest” capstone above the six demonstrated forms; whether it is itself counted among the “six” or a higher synthesis of them is still open.
