Summary
A two-page One Piece Film Gold color spread opens the chapter. The Sanji-retrieval team — Luffy, Nami, Chopper, Brook, Pedro, and stowaway Carrot — has left Cacao Island following Pudding’s instructions and sails for Big Mom’s lair, Whole Cake Island, without their captured guide Pekoms. They thread Totto Land’s food-island waters (Jam, Cacao, a grape-juice sea), Nami reading the “weird map” and Pedro — who has been here before — steering, while keeping their distance to avoid Big Mom’s detection. Meanwhile, in the capital Sweet City, Emperor Charlotte Linlin (Big Mom) is in the grip of an uncontrollable craving “fit,” rampaging through her own city, eating buildings and subjects while screaming for a croquembouche. Her ministers and son Charlotte Moscato (16th son, Minister of Gelato) try to stall her; when Moscato gets between Big Mom and her craving she rips 40 years of lifespan out of him — “your treat… or life” — and kills him. The fit only ends when Jinbei arrives up the juice river bearing a croquembouche assembled from the captured living cream-puff homies. Sated, Big Mom thanks her “faithful warrior of the sea,” noting she was impressed by the poneglyph Jinbei brought her even though she can’t read it. Jinbei has come to tell her something very important; Big Mom, sensing it, warns: “You’d better not be trying to leave me.”
New reveals
- Big Mom’s full title-card reveal: EMPEROR · Captain of the Big Mom Pirates · Queen of Totto Land — Charlotte Linlin (p. 17).
- Big Mom’s signature weakness: uncontrollable craving fits / “hunger pangs.” When she suddenly craves a specific sweet, she destroys everything — including her own capital and subjects — until that exact treat reaches her mouth (pp. 7–16).
- Big Mom can extract a person’s lifespan as payment (“Don’t get between me… and my treat… your treat… or life”); she tears 40 years from her own son Moscato, killing him (pp. 12–14).
- Charlotte Moscato — 16th son of Charlotte, Minister of Gelato — introduced and killed in this chapter (pp. 11–14).
- Big Mom collects poneglyphs she cannot read; Jinbei brought her one as tribute (p. 17).
- Jinbei is operating inside Totto Land under Big Mom and has come on “something very important” — Big Mom reads it as Jinbei trying to leave her (pp. 17–18).
- Totto Land geography: islands made of food (Jam, Cacao), a sea of grape juice, the capital Sweet City with Big Mom’s castle; Pedro has been here before (pp. 3–6).
- The homies: living, sapient cream puffs that talk and want to be eaten (“All we ever wanted… was to be yummy!!”) (pp. 7, 16).
- Sanji-retrieval roster confirmed in transit: Luffy, Nami, Chopper, Brook, Pedro, + stowaway Carrot; Pekoms is missing/captured (p. 3).

Open questions raised
- What devil fruit lets Big Mom seize lifespan and craft living homies? (Power shown, fruit unnamed.)
- How many craved-sweet “fits” has Big Mom inflicted on her own people, and is the weakness exploitable by enemies?
- What is Jinbei’s “very important” business — and can he actually break free of an Emperor?
- Why does Big Mom collect poneglyphs she cannot read, and what is she ultimately after?
- Where is Pekoms? (Last seen shot by Bege’s faction.)
