Summary
Determined to storm Ryugu Castle and clobber Hody to save his captured friends, Luffy is physically blocked by the former Warlord Jinbei, who spars him down with Fish-Man Karate (p. 3-5) and argues that beating Hody on Fish-Man Island would turn him into a martyr and replay the Arlong tragedy — “history repeating itself” (p. 9-10). Robin emerges from the forest and ends the brawl; Sanji, thinking she is in danger, collides with Jinbei (p. 6-8). When it comes out that Hody’s crew beat the bandaged Hachi for befriending humans, Sanji insists they now have a reason to fight (p. 11-12), and Luffy refuses to stand down. Meanwhile the New Fish-Man Pirates prepare to abandon Ryugu Castle and march on Conchcorde Plaza: the officer Daruma gnaws through Candy Factory Town, Hody — low on energy steroids — demands more (p. 13-17). At Ryugu Castle’s indoor pool, the imprisoned Zoro, Usopp and Brook plot their escape after Brook reveals he can send his soul out of his body and through walls, terrifying the left-behind Pappag (p. 18-19).
