Summary
On the Live Floor of the Skull Dome, Nico Robin — backed by Brook — finishes her duel with the Tobi Roppo Black Maria. Black Maria torments Robin with thread techniques (Sea Serpent Snap-Dragon, Marionette, poison feet, flammable webs) and tries to break her mind, jeering that the world only wants Robin’s brain, not her, and that she is dead weight — “what are you even good for, Demon Child?!” A flashback shows Robin’s crewmates (Usopp, Nami, Sanji, Jinbe and others) teaching her to actually fight — palm strikes, joint locks, Jinbei’s Fish-Man Karate. Robin answers the taunt by literally becoming the demon she’s named for: she puts out Black Maria’s flames with a Fish-Man Karate “Giganteum,” then forms Demonio Fleur — a giant horned, winged demon of bloomed arms — declaring she’ll do it “for the people who truly need me,” and slams Black Maria into the floor with a Grand Jacuzzi Clutch. Brook, who had frozen the hall in ice, cuts down Black Maria’s stunned subordinates with “Orchestra.” Robin’s giant form disperses and she slumps, spent. The scene cuts to Tokage Port in Udon, where Caribou is hoarding food in his bottomless swamp body amid a comedic exchange, and a Heart Pirates ally asks a Straw Hat for news of Onigashima, Law and Bepo. There, Momonosuke — who escaped the castle with Shinobu — begs her to use her Ripe-Ripe Jutsu to turn him into an adult so he can become a giant dragon and stop Onigashima from crushing the Flower Capital. Shinobu protests it can’t be undone and his mind will still be a child’s, but Momonosuke insists.
New reveals
- Robin defeats Black Maria. After a full back-and-forth, Robin’s giant demon body crushes Black Maria into the Live Floor (pp. 12-13). Black Maria is downed; her subordinates are cut down by Brook (pp. 14-15).
- Robin’s combat repertoire is borrowed from her crew. A flashback montage shows Usopp insisting she learn to throw a punch, Nami warning her people will try to kill her, and crewmates teaching her palm strikes and joint locks; Jinbei offers his “Dragon Claw Fist” and teaches her Fish-Man Karate (pp. 9-11).
- “Demonio Fleur.” Robin blooms a colossal horned, winged demon made of arms — a new, far larger application of her Gigante-Fleur line — and embraces the “Demon Child” epithet on her own terms: “I can be a demon if I have to.” (p. 12).
- Caribou is at Tokage Port, Udon (first reappearance in a long while), using his swamp-swamp power to store a vast amount of food; “kee hee hee hee” (p. 16).
- Momonosuke’s plan: he asks Shinobu to use her Ripe-Ripe (Juku-Juku) power to age him into an adult, believing it may let him become a giant dragon and prevent the Flower Capital / all of Wano from being destroyed (pp. 16-17).

Open questions raised
- Will Shinobu agree to age Momonosuke, and what are the costs (his mind staying a child’s; irreversibility)?
- Can an aged-up Momonosuke actually become a controllable giant dragon — and is that what stops Onigashima from dropping on the Flower Capital?
- Caribou is loose at Tokage Port hoarding food and people — what is he planning behind the lines?
