Why this family matters (plot weight)

The Neptune family rules the Ryugu Kingdom, the monarchy at the heart of the Fish-Man Island arc. The three princes (“the three greats of the Neptune Army”) lead the kingdom’s military and carry Jimbei’s message for Luffy (Ch. 609 pp. 18–19) — the plot hook that draws the Straw Hats into the island’s coming conflict. See The Neptune Princes Carry Jinbeis Message For Luffy.

  • Seat: Ryugu Kingdom
  • Crews/military containing members: the Neptune Army (the royal guard)
  • Jinbei — entrusted the princes with his message for Luffy
