- Admiral = JP 大将 *taishō* ('great general'), the top combat rank of the Marines. Oda's three founding Admirals are named on a unified scheme: PRIMARY COLOR + one of folk-hero Momotarō's three animal companions — Akainu 赤犬 'red dog,' Aokiji 青雉 'blue pheasant,' Kizaru 黄猿 'yellow monkey' (the editor's note at 0319 p. 4 prints all three glosses).

First on-page canonization of the Marine top-tier command structure (Ch. 319 p. 4, via Nico Robin’s exposition):
- There are only THREE Admirals — Aokiji, plus Kizaru and Akainu — collectively called by the World Government the “ultimate military force.”
- The only rank above the three Admirals is Fleet Admiral Sengoku, the commander of the Navy.
- An editor’s footnote canonizes the naming scheme: Akainu = red dog, Aokiji = blue pheasant, Kizaru = yellow monkey (primary color + a Momotarō animal companion).

- The post-war Akainu–Aokiji duel is placed on the map. Admirals Akainu and Aokiji “chose Punk Hazard to be their dueling ground,” and their clash was “a battle fierce enough to change the entire climate of the island” — the on-page cause of the island’s permanent fire/ice split (p. 19). First on-page evidence of where the succession-era duel between two of the three founding Admirals was fought.
