Notable events
- Ch. 621 — Jinbei served as one of “the king’s elite soldiers” (age 30; data box p. 13), with a fresh recruit Hodolum under him. He demands Arlong free his recruit and return Queen Otohime’s stolen petitions (pp. 12-13). After Fisher Tiger’s Mariejoa raid, Jinbei resigns “as of today” to join the Sun Pirates (p. 16).
- Ch. 630 — present day: Princes Fukaboshi, Ryuboshi and Manboshi lead the army toward Conchcorde Plaza — “less than one hour” out — knowingly accepting Hody’s trap to rescue the captured King Neptune (pp. 10-11). The princes weigh Madam Sharley’s ruin-prophecy against their own read that the Straw Hats carry no malice (p. 11).
- Ch. 631 — routed at the plaza: the army is crushed and routed by the New Fish-Man Pirates’ steroid-enhanced sea beasts at Conchcorde Plaza; the Minister of the Left and Minister of the Right fall and a soldier’s suicide-dynamite attempt on Hody fails (Hody *“Water Shot”*s him clear across the island to Mermaid Inlet). The three princes then arrive and turn the sea beasts back.
- Ch. 633 — the old mascot: revealed that Megalo — Princess Shirahoshi’s pet shark — was once the Neptune Army’s mascot (p. 3); in that role he witnessed Queen Otohime’s assassination and later told Shirahoshi that Hody Jones was the killer.
- Ch. 641 — present day: Princes Fukaboshi, Manboshi and Ryuboshi engage Hody at the falling Noah; the island’s defenders man the air-regulating cannon to fire the air tank’s reserve into a giant bubble around the ark so Luffy can breathe and fight on the deck (pp. 6, 11, 14–16). - Ch. 642 — present day: King Neptune orders all soldiers to Conchcorde Plaza to support Jinbe and the Straw Hats (“Support Jimbei and the Straw Hat crew!! All soldiers to the square!!”); the army deploys against the New Fish-Man Pirates (“It’s Neptune’s army!”), pp. 9-11.
