Chapter 834: My Dream

Summary

At Whole Cake Island, Sanji is told the explosive bracelets locked onto him will blow his hands off if he tries to flee the island — he is to be married off, like it or not (pp. 2-3). In Sweet City, the capital, citizens gossip that “First Son of the Sea” Jinbe boldly declared “I want out!” of Big Mom’s crew, then wilted and withdrew the request when he heard the price (p. 4); Brook, reading the news with the Straw Hat retrieval group, recognizes Jinbe and recalls his Fish-Man Island promise to one day join the crew (p. 5). The group spies on Charlotte Pudding being fitted for the wedding dress, realizing Sanji likely doesn’t even know they’ve arrived (p. 6). Baron Tamago is briefed that the enemy “knows everything” — the Straw Hats’ ship landed at Chocolat Town, Pekoms has vanished, and four Straw Hats have wandered into the Seducing Woods; Pedro (a jaguar, not a leopard) is someone Tamago “has a past” with, and Tamago orders a search for Pekoms before he can go plead with Mama (pp. 7-8). On the north-east coast, Capone Bege and his wife Charlotte Chiffon (Big Mom’s 22nd daughter) dote on their baby son Pez (p. 9) before Bege confronts the wounded Pekoms — calling compassion worthless — and shoots him into the sea (pp. 10-11). In the Whole Cake Chateau’s Queen’s Chamber, Big Mom reveals her dream: a world where every race sits at one table as a family, and she has funded Caesar Clown to gigantify her children with science (pp. 12-13). Caesar privately admits the drug is a scam, but Big Mom reveals she has already rebuilt a Punk-Hazard-style lab out of candy and offers unlimited funds; her Minister of Candy, eldest son Charlotte Perospero, gives Caesar a two-week ultimatum (pp. 14-16). That night on the south-west coast, the retrieval group finds the Seducing Woods crawling with multiplying Luffy duplicates (p. 17).
