  • Despite Squard's stab wound, Whitebeard unleashes his tremor power and shakes Marineford's entire island AND ocean ('DOOM!!') — the literal embodiment of the chapter title 'The Man Who Shook the World'
  • The three Admirals (Sakazuki/Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru) together deflect Whitebeard's quake away from the execution platform
  • The Navy raises a massive steel 'Encirclement Wall' around the whole bay to trap the pirates — but Little Oars Jr.'s fallen giant body and spilled blood jam the wall mechanism, leaving the wall incomplete/gapped
  • Akainu (addressed on-page as both 'Sakazuki' and 'Akainu') launches a magma barrage, 'Meteor Volcano,' to take away the trapped pirates' footing
  • Marine giant John Giant blocks the Whitebeard Pirates' path to the execution plaza
  • Squard, realizing he was deceived into stabbing Whitebeard, breaks down in remorse ('Pops!! I'm sorry!! Ace!! I'm sorry!! What have I done?!')

Summary

Word that “Whitebeard is finally going to fight!!” sweeps the battlefield as the strongest man in the world, fresh from being run through by his own allied captain, makes his move. His allies rage at the deceived Squard — “that fool fell for the navy’s trick” — while Squard himself collapses in tears, begging Whitebeard’s and Ace’s forgiveness. Luffy and Jinbei push to reach the platform but the giant Marine John Giant bars the way into the plaza (“You shall not pass!!”). Whitebeard answers with raw tremor power: the ground tilts, then the whole island and even the ocean heave and crack (“SWAY… SHAKE… DOOM!!”), splashing warships and collapsing the town — “that old geezer is unstoppable.” A quake-fist hurtles at the execution platform but the three Admirals (Sakazuki, Aokiji, Kizaru) deflect it together, bickering over whose ice and whose wall let it through. As Luffy climbs the clearing rubble, a colossal steel Encirclement Wall grinds up around the entire bay — the trap the Marines had been preparing — sealing the pirates in. It fails to fully close: Little Oars Jr.’s fallen giant body weighs it down and his spilled blood has knocked out the power, leaving a gap (Ace: “Oars…”). With the pirates boxed in and the cannons trained on them, a Marine commander gives the order — “begin the attack, Akainu!!” — and Akainu melts the ice and rains down magma fists, “Meteor Volcano,” to take away the pirates’ footing, the eruption falling toward Ace and a horrified Luffy.
