Summary

Over Elbaf, the horned, white-haired, winged figure who speaks in archaic register and calls itself “Mu” (Imu’s true form — matches the form recorded Ch. 1179) faces the colossal black dragon Loki (Niddhoggr) and, addressing the hammer Ragnir, declares it “wert waiting… for one who could strike back against Mu” (p. 3). Loki huffs “I’ve never seen someone absorb so much damage!!”; Imu retorts “What nonsense are you talking about?!”, then pronounces sentence on “Loki… Straw Hat Luffy…”: “thou wilt not be my soldiers!!… So I shalt eliminate thee instead!!!” (p. 3). Imu seizes the strike on the haft (“Just like Douzan…”); Loki then dives with “RAGNA DUAL… …HEIM!!!,” erupting in a black geyser against Imu (p. 4). At Western Village, riders tear through and dark blobs swallow screaming giant children (“…if my son is ripped from my arms!!!”); a veiled elder giantess bellows “TAKE BACK THE CHILDREN!!!” while an eye-studded greatsword swings with the cry “BLADE OF WRATH — GRAM!!!”; a shark-toothed abductor counts his haul — “Only seven of them?! It’ll have to do… let’s go, Zaza!!” — as black-gloved hands loose ring-arrows (pp. 5–7). Elsewhere, Team Brook (Nami, Usopp) catches up to Brook, who fled toward the woman he froze solid — the Celestial-Dragon attacker (Gunko’s body) who mid-attack shouted “Run… Brook!!!” and who, Brook realizes, “was the one who undid the rope” when they were tied up (pp. 8–10). Jinbei demands a decision — “does she live or die?!” — and Brook, shaken by “people turned into demons today,” answers with his past (p. 10): seventy years ago, in the West Blue Kingdom of Esperia, “land of instrument makers,” 20-year-old human Brook — “Humming Brook,” unpopular musician but master of a quick-draw sword technique “that left its victims unaware they’d been slashed” — led the Raider Squad of the Battle Convoy, woke the city daily with his “Good Morn-Maid” song, doted on 7-year-old Princess Shuri, and openly adored Queen Candelle, to King Reuven’s fury (pp. 11–15). When the Moulon Family — a gang that has “been after Candelle for years” — rides through the city to seize the Queen at the Opera House “with permission to shoot from Don Moulon,” Brook strolls in unbothered: by the time they left the port, ”…I’d already… …cut them all,” and the whole gang falls to his “THREE-PACE HUM: NOTCH SLASH!!!” (pp. 15–18). The narration crowns Esperia’s “two great stars”: Queen Candelle, former captain of the Battle Convoy, and Humming Brook — as Candelle steps out: “Hah… what a scene out here” (p. 19).
