Summary

Two threads converge on the coming war. At Impel Down’s Level 4, the Blackbeard Pirates have survived Magellan’s poison — an antidote reached them just in time — and the freed Head-Jailer Shiryu of the Rain formally throws in with Teach, who welcomes him as “a great ally.” Out on the World Government’s private Tub Current, the commandeered Marine battleship carries Luffy’s 200+ Impel Down escapees toward the Gates of Justice. Ivankov reveals he burned Inazuma’s poison out with his healing and energy hormones — at the cost of years off Inazuma’s life — and benches him because “Inazuma is needed in the Revolutionary Army.” Jinbei, mistaken by the escapees for a barbaric fish-man, formally introduces himself to Luffy as one of the Seven Warlords (“Just call me Jimbei”) and explains the route can only end at Marineford or Enies Lobby. When Luffy answers the ship’s transponder snail, Navy HQ names the two “ringleaders” — Straw Hat Luffy and, to everyone’s shock, Buggy the Clown — and broadcasts that Buggy sailed with Gold Roger and is “Red-Haired” Shanks’s blood brother. The Marines’ threat (no Gate, no escape) only inflates Buggy’s myth: he commandeers the panicking prisoners’ adoration, declares he’ll take Whitebeard’s head and rule the world, and leads the whole mob, cheering, into the war.
