Name meaning
セラフィム Serafimu = 'Seraphim,' the highest of the nine angelic orders in Christian/Jewish angelology. From Hebrew śərāp̄īm, plural of śārāf, 'a burning one' (root śārap̄, 'to burn') — the 'burning ones' gloss rhymes with the units' Lunarian-based fire abilities (King's species controls flame). Their child-with-wings design echoes the putto / Cherubim (the second order), the chubby winged-boy figures of Renaissance art. Vegapunk's per-unit naming convention is 'S-' + an animal tied to the template Warlord (S-Hawk←Mihawk, S-Shark←Jinbe, S-Bear←Kuma, S-Snake←Hancock). Continues the World Government's angelic naming of its living weapons (cf. Pacifista = 'peacemaker').

Structural lore — the World Government’s next-generation Pacifista class, first fielded on-page at Amazon Lily in Ch. 1059. Lunarian-bodied, child-shaped weapons modeled on the former Seven Warlords.
