Profile

A samurai of the Land of Wano, first shown on Punk Hazard as the living bisected samurai — a still-alive pair of legs recovered from the dragon Ch. 656, whose severed, still-talking head is later found in the lab (Ch. 657, IDed as a Wano samurai by his topknot). Trafalgar Law cut him into three living pieces; he hunts the island for his missing son Momonosuke (Ch. 663). Flagged for etymology.

Wano Country — the decoy plan revealed (Ch. 977)

• Reveals that the raid plan he announced — split forces, climb both mountain paths, infiltrate the rear gate, ambush the drunk Kaido — was a decoy fed in the traitor Kanjuro’s presence to deceive the enemy (p. 5). The real plan ferries the core fighters by sea on Law’s submarine. The other captains rib him for being characteristically over-thorough.

Wano Country — sea-approach: the fleet sails (Ch. 976)

• Leads the Akazaya alliance fleet toward Onigashima through a storm; ribbed by the scabbards for nearly mustering at the wrong port (Tokage Port) (p. 3).

Wano Country — “Kin’emon’s clever trick” (Ch. 975)

• Denjiro credits him with the decisive ruse: Kin’emon openly read Yasuie’s Habu-viper riddle as Tokage Port in the spy’s presence, feeding Orochi a decoy while the true muster was the Wharf at Habu Port (pp. 14-16). The 4,200-strong force and its ships were safe all along.

Wano Act Three — the empty rally point (Ch. 958)

Wano Country (Ch. 954) — Yasuie’s altered message; the strategy meeting

• Relays Yasuie’s dying alteration to the rally-message: add two lines (legs) to the viper (Habu) to make a lizard (Tokage), redirecting the secret meeting place to Tokage Port in Udon and foiling Orochi’s spies — “this Yasuie… was an incredible man” (pp. 8-10).
• Convenes the strategy meeting; goal of 5,000 men, seven Kozuki vassals gathered, still no word on Denjiro; lays out the two routes into Wano (pp. 11-12).

Wano Country — Ringo (Ch. 953)

Wano Country (Ch. 952)

• Hears Raizo’s report of the Udon takeover; resolves to make Amigasa Village the alliance’s base (p. 13). Stresses the weapons shortage — Orochi criminalized owning weapons, so katanas are urgently needed: “If we do not have a blade for every warrior who wishes to fight… it will not be much of a battle!!” (pp. 12–13). Wano Country (Ch. 951)

• At ruined Kuri, marvels at the fleet Ashura Doji assembled for the raid; the re-keyed snake code from Yasuie’s dying message is to be passed up to him (“I’ll have to pass this on to Kin’emon!!”) (p.8, 13).

Wano Country — Kuri (Ch. 950)

• At Bakura Town in Kuri with Inuarashi (Dogstorm), receives an elder’s account of the SMILE truth and the origin of Ebisu Town — the failed artificial fruits that leave their eaters able only to laugh (pp. 8, 12).

Wano Country — Rasetsu Town (Ch. 942)

• In the execution crowd, receives Yasuie’s coded message: the plan is “once again a blank sheet of paper,” there is “a new gathering place,” and the alliance must go to Onigashima and “avenge your fallen liege” (pp. 13–14). Shown with Momonosuke and the Akazaya.

Wano Country — Kuri (Ch. 941)

• His alliance plan “has gone off the rails”; he scrambles to recruit the furious Ashura Doji after Holdem’s men torch Atamayama — “we NEED Ashura working with us” — pitting him against the Animal Kingdom Pirates (pp. 8-9). Inuarashi races alongside him.

Wano Country (Ch. 932) — referenced (Orochi fears the Akazaya’s return)

• Named by Orochi as the “most brilliant” leader of the Akazaya Nine (red-scabbard samurai), whose return after 20 years Orochi fears; recent attacks (the soba cook, the inn ronin) “might all have been under Kin’emon’s orders” (pp. 10–11). Wano, Act Two — Atamayama (Ch. 925)

• Warns the Sunny crew via transponder snail about Wano’s perilous entrance: “Foul weather ceaselessly swirls about the nation… entrance will be perilous… the waves churn, and the tides come and go rapidly!!” (p.7).

• Declares his name and that he is a servant of the Kozuki Clan, here in search of his compatriot Raizo; vows to cut his belly if Raizo is found (p. 13–14).

• The Wano samurai whom Jack’s crew hunted on Zou — and whom the minks let their homeland be razed to protect — is the quarry of Kin’emon’s “find the samurai” quest (Raizo not yet named on-page here). Zou arc (Ch. 804)

• He and Kanjuro tumble off the elephant’s leg near the bottom; survives (“I am well…!”) and tells the others to go ahead — “We shall catch up before long” (p. 5-6).

Zou arc (Ch. 803)

• Climbing the elephant’s leg with Luffy’s group; reveals Zou was the Wano samurai’s destination “from the start,” that their lost-at-sea companion is the ninja Raizo, and that they must confirm Momonosuke is safe before they can explain everything (p. 13).
