Summary

Page 1 is the One Piece 29th-anniversary color centerspread — the Straw Hats swimming through a sunken city led by a crowned frog-turtle. The chapter proper opens on a flashback (“Recalling a certain day”): Imu takes a Den Den Mushi call from a voice that declares “I’M… JOY BOY!!!”; Imu answers “JOY BOY IS ALREADY DEAD.” Back in the present, Gear-5 Luffy duels Imu’s black-flamed, horned descended combat form over the wilting forest of Elbaf, countering with Gum-Gum Jet Gatling while dodging Imu’s black-flame projectiles and the void-serpent’s eye-studded coils. Loki is down but alive (“I’M STILL ALIVE, JACKASS!!”); Ragnir and Ratatoskr shield him, and an elderly bearded Elbaf giant crashes in vowing “I’M NOT GONNA LET HIS DEATH… GO TO WASTE!!” and “I’LL PROTECT HIM FOR YOU!!”. Jinbe arrives to take the frozen/ice foe off Luffy’s hands (“He’s my buddy! I’ll leave him to you, Jinbe!”), letting Luffy focus on Imu. Brook and the others try to place the black-flamed sovereign — he refers to Gunko as “Princess Shuri,” and Brook reasons he must outrank even the Holy Knights (only the Five Elders sit above them) — “the World Government is always shrouded in mystery.” Imu unleashes named weapons — “Sucker Punching Bullet!!”, “Stigma!!”, the “Sword of the Wailing Void!!” (a black-flame blade) — and batters Luffy hard. In the final beat Imu recants his earlier recognition: “IT IS CLEAR… THOU ART NOT JOY BOY!! …JOY BOY WOULD NEVER BE THIS WEAK!!” — “JOY BOY…” — as the caption reads “THE MAJESTIC POWER OF THE KING OF THE WORLD…!!” and the forest of Elbaf visibly wilts.
