  • Hody Jones is the true killer of Queen Otohime — he paid a human pirate to snipe and burn the signature box, then shot Otohime himself, then murdered the human patsy and framed him as the assassin, manufacturing the anti-human hatred that radicalized the island
  • Shirahoshi already knew Hody killed her mother — 'I knew that' (the title beat)
  • Madam Sharley is Arlong's sister; her never-wrong prophecy names the man who will destroy Fish-Man Island as Straw Hat Luffy, meaning 'no future where Hody rules the island'
  • The New Fish-Man Pirates muster 100,000 from the outcast Fish-Man District: 70,000 weapons-trained fish-men plus 30,000 human slaves captured over the past month
  • The three princes were winning until the pirate officers ate something (energy steroids) that flipped the battle — Neptune calls it power 'gained through unnatural means'; the royal family, army and ministers are all captured
  • Jinbei arrives and is caught with Shirahoshi (and Megalo) in Hody's net; he quit the Seven Warlords and had left the island — Hody: 'I knew you'd come, Jimbei'
  • Noah is an ancient ship the denizens of Fish-Man Island built long ago, half the size of Fish-Man Island; Vander Decken IX marked it to Shirahoshi and hurled the whole ark at her with a tap of his right hand to crush the entire island

Summary

At Conchcorde Plaza the battle is already lost: the three princes Fukaboshi, Ryuboshi and Manboshi were winning until Hody’s officers swallowed something that flipped the fight, and now the royal family, the army and the ministers are all captured — King Neptune tells his sons not to apologize because the enemy’s power was “gained through unnatural means.” Jinbei descends on Megalo carrying Shirahoshi straight into Hody’s net trap; Hody, gloating that his “two main targets” are caught together, greets the ex-Warlord with “I knew you’d come, Jimbei.” Hody unveils his army — 100,000 strong, 70,000 weapons-trained fish-men and 30,000 human slaves seized over the past month from the outcast Fish-Man District. Madam Sharley arrives to warn him he is “in over his head” and reveals her prophecy: the man who will destroy Fish-Man Island is Straw Hat Luffy — meaning “there’s no future where Hody rules this island.” Enraged, Hody strikes the seer down, names her as Arlong’s sister, and dismisses the Arlong Pirates as “just an empty symbol” now that he has “real power.” Then he confesses the arc’s keystone: he murdered Queen Otohime — hiring a human pirate to burn the signature box, shooting the queen himself, then killing the patsy and framing a human, all because Otohime had nearly persuaded the island to make peace with humans. Shirahoshi, weeping, answers: “I knew that.” Far away beneath Noah in the Fish-Man District, Vander Decken IX taps the colossal ancient ark with his marked right hand and hurls it through the sea at Shirahoshi — “Die along with the entire island” — Noah being half the size of Fish-Man Island, “nowhere to run and no way to stop it.”
