Etymology

Confidence: high · フカボシ = 鱶 fuka (‘shark’) + 星 -boshi/hoshi (‘star’) = literally “shark-star,” matching his on-page species, a shark merman. All four Neptune royal children carry the 星 -hoshi/-boshi (‘star’) suffix prefixed by their fish species — Shirahoshi (“white star”), Fukaboshi (shark), Ryuboshi (oarfish), Manboshi (sunfish).
