Summary
At sea, Jack — bandaged but very much alive (“Do I look dead to you?!”) — addresses his fleet as it steams onward. In Kurau City, Zou, the mink “boss” reveals the Kozuki Clan crest tattooed on his back, matching one Raizo bears, and the minks rejoice. The two mink rulers — Inuarashi (“Dogstorm,” the Dog Duke / King of Day) and Nekomamushi (“Cat Viper,” the Cat / King of Night) — turn out to have known the Wano samurai all along, and immediately fall to fighting until Momonosuke stops them; both bow in shame, recognizing him as Lord Oden’s son. Kin’emon reveals the truth: he and Momonosuke are not father and son — they enacted that ruse to hide the boy’s identity. Standing before the minks is the heir to Kozuki Oden, great daimyo of Kuri in the Land of Wano: Kozuki Momonosuke. The dukes, brought together “by the power of Kozuki,” call a ceasefire. The group climbs the great whale-tree (the “Guardians’ Dwelling”) to find Raizo; Law is told his temperament resembles Oden’s, and a “voice” grows louder the closer they get to the whale. They find Raizo of the Mist chained and raging, then joyfully reunited with the Wano group — and behind the centuries-old Kozuki crest, Robin spots a red poneglyph “of a different usage.” The Straw Hats (and minks) pile ninja requests on Raizo, who finally cuts loose with smoke escapes, shadow clones, and flower shuriken that spell out “shinobi.”
