Chapter 758: Just Keep Going

Summary

At the Fourth Step of the King’s Plateau, the reverted toy soldier Kyros squares off against Diamante in the flower field while Luffy, Law, Cavendish, Bartolomeo and Rebecca push for the palace; Luffy openly declares “Lucy” is in fact Luffy (p.2-3). Nami, Luffy and the wounded Law reach the palace gate, and Law swaps the pair past the enemy line into the pool courtyard with Room/Chambres — a costly operation, since he is already riddled with lead bullets (p.4-5). The crisis: Sugar has revived and means to touch Luffy and erase him from everyone’s memory, with the Birdcage-maddened citizens stampeding to seize the resistance for Doflamingo (p.6-9). Far outside the walls, Usopp resolves to snipe Sugar he cannot even see; King Riku, Kin’emon, Hack, Leo and the toy/dwarf army hold off the crowd while Princess Viola feeds Usopp exact window dimensions, bar spacing, range and wind (p.7-12). Pulling back the Great Black Kabuto, Usopp suddenly perceives his friends’ spirits through the wall — his first Observation Haki — and fires a multi-stage rocket “Bagworm” that punches through the window and unfolds into a giant terror-face engineered to re-traumatize Sugar, who faints (p.11-15). With Sugar down the threat collapses; Luffy and Law climb to the top floor and confront Doflamingo “for the final battle” (p.16-17). • Usopp’s Observation Haki awakens. Under do-or-die pressure, Usopp “sees their spirit” — perceiving the silhouettes and heartbeats (B-DUMP) of Luffy’s group through the palace wall he cannot see past (p.11, p.12).
• Usopp deliberately KOs Sugar a second time. Unlike the accidental face-faint earlier in the arc, this is an engineered long-range strike: a wrapped, two-stage rocket (“First Booster: Exploding Star” → second booster) flown through a specific window pane, NOT for a direct hit but to “reawaken trauma” via a giant grotesque face (p.13-15).
• Viola’s clairvoyance as a fire-control computer. She reads window pane size (20” × 16”), the bar count (“one vertical, three across”), the four-foot sill height, Sugar’s position/height, wind speed and direction — turning Usopp’s blind shot into a calculated one (p.10-12).
• Law’s swap is a real cost. Already shot full of lead bullets and cuffed for so long, Law’s Chambres operation that drops them in the courtyard drains his stamina (“Just did an operation…”, p.4-5).
• Luffy drops the “Lucy” disguise to his allies — “The man who will be King of the Pirates!!! I’m Luffy!!!” — and Cavendish registers that Lucy was never the real Straw Hat (p.3).
• The final confrontation is set: Luffy and Law on the top floor, Doflamingo waiting. “What a disappointment.” / “Ditto.” / “To whoop your butt!!!” (p.16-17).
