Summary

In the Whale Forest on Zou, the recovering Pekoms explains to Luffy, Nami and the others why Sanji had no choice but to leave: he is the son of the Vinsmoke family, which stands atop a real killer-army — Germa 66, the “War-Mongers.” Big Mom’s tea-party invitation is an absolute summons (refuse it and a loved one’s head arrives in a box), and the wedding is a blood-binding political marriage fusing the Vinsmoke and Charlotte families — once official, Sanji ceases to be a Straw Hat. Pekoms vows to recover and return to Big Mom’s; Luffy declares “Then take me with you!!”, planning to go alone with Pekoms to sneak into the ceremony and ruin it. Nekomamushi (the Cat Viper) rouses to greet Luffy with a “Garchu,” spits blood, and calls for a feast; Trafalgar Law introduces his full crew, the Heart Pirates (“twenty strong”), and reminds everyone the alliance’s real fight is Kaido, who will come for Zou in time. Through the night the adults of the combined crews keep watch to keep the visiting samurai out of the mink Dukedom; at dawn Kin’emon and Kanjuro arrive anyway, seeking the warrior Raizo — and a monkey-mink sentry bolts off shrieking “It’s SAMURAI!!!”
