Summary
In the Whale Forest on Zou, the recovering Pekoms explains to Luffy, Nami and the others why Sanji had no choice but to leave: he is the son of the Vinsmoke family, which stands atop a real killer-army — Germa 66, the “War-Mongers.” Big Mom’s tea-party invitation is an absolute summons (refuse it and a loved one’s head arrives in a box), and the wedding is a blood-binding political marriage fusing the Vinsmoke and Charlotte families — once official, Sanji ceases to be a Straw Hat. Pekoms vows to recover and return to Big Mom’s; Luffy declares “Then take me with you!!”, planning to go alone with Pekoms to sneak into the ceremony and ruin it. Nekomamushi (the Cat Viper) rouses to greet Luffy with a “Garchu,” spits blood, and calls for a feast; Trafalgar Law introduces his full crew, the Heart Pirates (“twenty strong”), and reminds everyone the alliance’s real fight is Kaido, who will come for Zou in time. Through the night the adults of the combined crews keep watch to keep the visiting samurai out of the mink Dukedom; at dawn Kin’emon and Kanjuro arrive anyway, seeking the warrior Raizo — and a monkey-mink sentry bolts off shrieking “It’s SAMURAI!!!”
New reveals
- Germa 66 is real. Pekoms names it: also called “the War-Mongers,” nicknamed “Double-Six” (66). A “family of killers” Luffy and Nami had dismissed as an imaginary evil army. (p. 2)
- The Vinsmoke family stands atop Germa 66, and its boss is “Black-Leg’s old man” — i.e. Sanji’s father. (p. 2)
- Big Mom’s tea-party invitation is an absolute summons. Refuse her and within days you are delivered as a “present” — a box containing the head of a Straw Hat, of someone from the Baratie in the East Blue, of someone from the Kamabakka Queendom, or of someone close to the recipient. (p. 4)
- The wedding is a blood-binding political marriage. Big Mom seals deals with new followers “through blood”; the ritual binds the Vinsmoke and Charlotte families. The moment it is official, Sanji will cease to be Luffy’s crewmate. (p. 5–6)
- Luffy will crash the wedding. He resolves to travel alone with the recovering Pekoms — going as a group would be “like declaring war” — to sneak into the tea party and ruin the ceremony. (p. 8)
- The Heart Pirates, “twenty strong.” Law formally introduces his full crew to Luffy; the alliance’s target is the Emperor Kaido, who will inevitably invade Zou. (p. 12–13)
- Kanjuro’s painting-manifestation power is shown again: he dismisses a living drawn tiger, “Torasaburo” — “Return to a painting!” (p. 17)

Open questions raised
- Will Sanji refuse the wedding — and survive Big Mom and the Vinsmokes if he does?
- What exactly is Germa 66, and who are the Vinsmokes Sanji fled?
- Can Luffy and the wounded Pekoms reach Big Mom’s territory and stop the ceremony before it is made official?
- How will the friendly minks react when they learn the Straw Hats travel with samurai (Kin’emon and Kanjuro)?
- Is Raizo really not on Zou — or are the minks hiding more than they admit?
- When will Kaido come for the alliance and for Zou?
