Summary
With the stolen Bakura Town treasure barge delivered, the people of Okobore Town feast in celebration while the freshly-tamed Animal Kingdom headliner Speed (“Horselina”) carries Otama home to the swordsmith’s village, vowing as a loyal servant to protect her master. Luffy, Zoro, Law, Komachiyo and a quietly distrusted kimono-clad Robin set out for the ruins of Oden Castle in Kuri. Intercut in the Flower Capital, a schoolteacher feeds children Wano’s official history — that the heroic Shogun Kurozumi Orochi vanquished “Oden and the Akazaya Nine” twenty years ago — and the drunken Kurozumi-clan money changer Napping Kyoshiro mockingly recounts Oden’s wife’s dying prophecy: nine shadows cast across a night woven of twenty years. At the castle ruins the group find only Kozuki gravestones bearing the names of the living (Kin’emon, Kanjuro, Momo, Raizo). The Straw Hats reunite there — Sanji returned to the crew — and Kin’emon appears alive. He confesses his greatest secret: he, Kiku, Momonosuke, Kanjuro and Raizo are people of the past who crossed through time to arrive here from the Wano of twenty years ago.

- The Kozuki time-leap. Kin’emon reveals that five of them — himself, Okiku, Momonosuke, plus Kanjuro and Raizo — “belong to the past” and crossed through time to reach the present from the Wano of 20 years ago (p. 17).
- Shogun Orochi’s surname is Kurozumi. The schoolteacher names “Shogun Kurozumi Orochi” on-page (p. 7), and Kyoshiro is captioned as the Kurozumi clan’s money changer (p. 8) — the antagonist clan name now printed in-story.
- The fall of the Kozuki, 20 years ago. Orochi drove all the Kozuki samurai into Oden Castle and burned them alive; he installed himself as Shogun. Wano’s official propaganda recasts this as Orochi heroically “vanquishing the bad samurai” Oden and the Akazaya Nine (pp. 6–9).
- Oden’s wife’s dying prophecy (unnamed, in silhouette): “cast nine shadows on the night woven of 20 years… and you shall know the brilliance of the dawn… you are the moon unaware of the dawn… may your purpose be fulfilled” (p. 8). Orochi reads it as nine samurai ghosts returning on a moonlit night exactly 20 years later to take vengeance — and it has now been exactly 20 years.

- Sanji has returned to the crew at Wano; the Sunny contingent reunites with Luffy after tracking a vivre card and searching the seafloor (pp. 15–16).
