Summary
In the Flower Capital, an enraged Orochi learns the Straw Hats slipped his net but gloats that capturing “this Trafalgar man” still nets two ringleaders; he puts the capital on high alert, papers the nation with wanted likenesses, and threatens any citizen who shelters the intruders with the crime of conspiracy. North of Ebisu Town, Nami and Shinobu’s group meets escaped prisoners — three of Law’s Heart Pirates — who carry crucial intel: Yasuie’s dying message altered the allies’ secret code (“two more lines on the snake”), a change the Wano people understood and that must reach Kin’emon. Law, himself captured, sends word through the freed three to keep his capture secret from the Straw Hats — “our captain’s life comes before the plan” — leaving his crew anguished. The Ebisu townsfolk, who can only laugh, mourn-cackle as Yasuie’s remains are taken to Kuri for burial; Nami and Kanjuro move out. Brook (“Bonekichi”) spooks a checkpoint as a ghost so the disguised crew passes; Robin (“Orobi”) cradles the orphaned, sleeping Toko. At the ruined south-west port of Kuri, Ashura Doji presents Kin’emon with a fleet of ships salvaged from the ports Kaido razed — enough, once Franky repairs them, to ferry thousands of soldiers to Onigashima. And on Onigashima itself, Queen has hauled the (now-lucid) Big Mom in, having survived King knocking her ship off the falls; King — whom Big Mom covets for his rare, near-extinct race — refuses her offer to join her. Then Kaido descends: “So you’ve shown your face here at last, Linlin.” A Beasts Pirate reveals the two were once crewmates long ago. Kaido orders Big Mom’s cuffs struck off; her sword-homie Napoleon returns and her memory snaps fully back — and the two Emperors immediately collide in a world-shaking clash as the crew scrambles to evacuate Onigashima.
New reveals
- Kaido and Big Mom were once in the SAME pirate crew. A Beasts Pirate, watching Kaido order Big Mom freed: “Did you know that long ago, Big Mom and Master Kaido were in the same pirate crew?!” (page 16). Kaido’s greeting confirms a deep shared past: “So you’ve shown your face here at last, Linlin… How many decades has it been?!” (page 17). First on-page seed in-arc of the Rocks Pirates backstory.
- Big Mom is a race-collector who covets King. “There are still three races I don’t have in my country yet” and “One of them might have been lost in the mists of time… but you’re still alive!!!” (page 15) — she wants King for his rare, near-extinct species and offers to forget “what you did yesterday” if he joins her. King refuses (page 15). (His species itself is not shown — forward reveal; do not name it.)
- Big Mom’s amnesia is over. She is “back to normal,” lucid, and her special sword-homie Napoleon pops back out (page 18) — the Udon “Olin” amnesia state has ended.
- King knocked Big Mom’s ship off the falls (callback to ch 930) — “I could have sworn I knocked their ship off the falls…” (page 14) — yet she survived and Queen brought her to Onigashima.
- Law has been captured. Three of his Heart Pirates are released as “bargaining chips,” and Law’s relayed order is to keep his capture secret from Straw Hat — “our captain’s life comes before the plan” (pages 8–9).
- Yasuie’s final message re-keyed the allies’ secret code — “They added two more lines on the snake” — a change the Wano people decoded; it must be passed to Kin’emon (pages 7–8).
- The raid fleet is assembling at ruined Kuri. Ashura Doji collected ships from every port Kaido destroyed; once Franky repairs them they can “ferry thousands of soldiers to Onigashima” (pages 12–13).
- The capital is locked down. Orochi orders the city on high alert with samurai and ninja in every quarter and nationwide wanted likenesses; sheltering the intruders is now “the crime of conspiracy” (pages 3–6).

Open questions raised
- What crew did Kaido and Big Mom serve in together “decades” ago, and why did they part?
- What is King’s rare, near-extinct race that Big Mom covets — and which “three races” does she still lack?
- Will the Kaido–Big Mom collision end in an alliance or a war — and what does Kaido want from her now?
- What exactly does the re-keyed snake code instruct, and will it reach Kin’emon in time for the raid?
- How will Law’s crew respond to his order to stay quiet about his capture?
