Wano Country (Ch. 926)

• Partners with Onami to spy out a Beasts-Pirates arms shipment; comically loud despite being a kunoichi, with a confessed terror of pointed objects (pp. 6-8).
• Uses Ninpo: Great Kite to fly them both clear of the guards; quips “there is no weapon deadlier than a mature woman” — a self-tell tying to her ripening/maturing power (p. 8).

Wano Country (Ch. 932) — named, not shown

• Name-called by Nico Robin as a member of the castle-infiltration team when Robin’s cover is blown (p. 6). Not depicted this chapter.

Wano Country (Ch. 933) — flees Orochi’s banquet; “Rot Garden”

• Teamed with Onami, she helps the disguised Straw Hats escape Orochi’s collapsing banquet. The ninja Hanzo recognizes her from the past — “Is that… Hanzo?! … So you’re still alive?!”
• Wields a string of ninpo: “Ninpo: Ball-Crusher,” “Ninpo: Paralysis Jutsu,” and her Ripe-Ripe / “Rot Garden” power (Ripe-Ripe Fruit) that rots/over-matures whatever she touches — used to collapse the banquet roof (pp. 6–10).

Wano Country (Ch. 935) — Flower Capital bathhouse; her Oniwabanshu past

• Bathes at a Flower Capital bathhouse with the disguised Robin (“Orobi”) and Nami (“Onami”); uses “Ninpo: Ball-Crusher” against peeping men (p. 13).
• Reveals her past: she formerly served the Oniwabanshu under its leader Fukurokuju, and fled “for my life” when he abandoned the Kozuki to serve Orochi — after Orochi killed a Kozuki supporter who refused the Kurozumi clan’s employ (p. 15). Helps the group gather the legend of Hyogoro the Flower and the resistance’s stalled samurai recruitment (pp. 12–15).

Wano Country (Ch. 936) — Flower Capital bathhouse raid

• In the Flower Capital bathhouse during the X Drake / Hawkins raid with Nami (“Onami”) and Robin (“Orobi”); Nami turns to her for a plan (“What should we do, Shinobu?!”, p. 11). Extracted with the others via Sanji’s Germa raid suit Stealth Black (pp. 11-15).

Wano Country — Ebisu Town hideout (Ch. 938)

• At the Ebisu Town hideout during the post-leak infighting; cites “the common way of things in the ninja world” and urges they silence/eliminate the captured allies for good (“If we fail this time we’ll never have another chance!! We’ve been waiting for this moment for 20 years!!”) to fulfill Lord Oden’s hopes — until Kanjuro tells her to stop (pp. 8–9).

Wano Country — Flower Capital safehouse (Ch. 940)

• Her loyalty doubted by Law (who had earlier doubted her), leaving her frustrated after waiting 20 years for the plan to come together (p. 2).

Wano Country (Ch. 951)

• Acting as the alliance’s intel runner: receives the freed prisoners’ report that Yasuie’s dying message changed the secret code (“two more lines on the snake”) and resolves to relay it to Kin’emon (p.6–8).

Wano — Oden flashback (Ch. 970) — flashback (youth; defects to Oden’s side)

• As a young kunoichi she leaps into the battle on Oden’s side (“I hope you don’t mind that I’m joining your side!!”), revealing she served at the Kozuki castle in Shogun Sukiyaki’s day and can no longer stay in a palace that defected to Orochi: “I WILL JOIN YOU!!!” (pp. 9–10).
• One of the eleven loyalist samurai; apparently escapes the capture that takes Oden and the nine retainers (only “ten wicked samurai” are sentenced, p. 17).

Wano — Oden flashback “Sentenced to Boil” (Ch. 971) — flashback (youth; the “fool of a lord” reveal)

• In the execution crowd she draws her blade and confronts the jeering onlookers — “Say it one more time, and I’ll end your life!!!” / “YOU ARE THE FOOLS!!!” (p. 13). Recognized: “That’s Shinobu, Captain!”
• Delivers the chapter’s central reveal: Oden was no fool — he danced naked weekly for five years to ransom Wano’s kidnapped people under Orochi’s deal, “ensuring that you all live in peace.” “Lord Oden has been protecting this land!!! …So tell me again, who are you calling a fool of a lord?!!” (pp. 14, 16–17). Wano — Oden’s execution (Ch. 972) — flashback (youth)

• Among Oden’s loyalists at the execution; refuses Fukurokuju’s threat (“I will not follow you!! …I am Lord Oden’s vassal!! …then I will die along with Kozuki!!”, p. 3) and begs Orochi to stop (p. 4). Oden hurls the retainers — Shinobu among them — clear toward Kuri (“SHINOBU!!! / TO KURI!!!”, p. 12).

Wano Country — Oden flashback (Ch. 973) — flashback (youth)

• Supplies the Scabbards with weapons during the defense of the castle — “I appreciate the weapons, Shinobu!!” (p. 4).

Wano Country — Onigashima Raid (Ch. 988)

• On the Live Floor, her attempt to shield Momonosuke goes wrong (“That was clumsy work…”) and she is struck; after Sanji intercepts the flying Gifter, she is handed Momo to protect (“Take Momo, Shinobu!!”) (pp. 6–11).

Notes

• Etymology done : shinobu (忍ぶ, “to endure / to conceal oneself”) — the plain form of shinobi (ninja), with the 偲ぶ “to recall/long for” homophone fitting her nostalgia. See frontmatter etymology.
