What we know

• Ch. 507: Rayleigh reveals that Gol D. Roger “was able to hear the voices of all things in the world” (pp. 6-7). This — not knowledge of the ancient language — is how Roger understood the Poneglyphs: “Roger didn’t actually decipher those ancient writings… That’s all.” First on-page description of the mechanic that lets a person read the ancient text-makers’ messages without knowing their script.
• Ch. 648 p. 5: The Sea Kings perceive that “the human with the hat” (Luffy) “seemed to notice our voices,” and remark “it did happen once before” — restating the rare precedent (the Roger-era hearing, @0507) and quietly showing the faculty operating around Luffy. • Ch. 817 p. 11: At Zou’s whale-tree, Momonosuke notes “the closer to the whale, the louder the ‘voice’ I hear,” and the mink dukes liken the group’s disposition to the late Oden — tying the “voice” to both the great whale-bearing elephant (Zunisha) and Oden’s bloodline. • Ch. 820 p. 17: As Zunisha trumpets and Zou shakes for the first time, Luffy alone hears a voice — “Whose voice was that?” — while no one else identifies it. • Ch. 853 pp. 4–5: ⭐ Big Mom independently names the faculty — to “hear the voice of all things and read the stone” — and confirms Roger used it to reach Raftel (“I’m not going to screw up like I did with Roger”). • Ch. 966 p. 17: ⭐ During the Roger-crew sky-island poneglyph reading (Oden-era flashback), Oden remarks the stone is “just packed full of strong voices” — a Voice-of-All-Things beat clustering the faculty around the Kozuki/Roger register as the crew reads a poneglyph naming Poseidon. Chronology / structure

A perceptive ability, presented as rare and personal to Roger in this first on-page mention. It reframes Poneglyph literacy: the corpus can be “read” by hearing, not only by deciphering. (Whether the ability is inheritable, learnable, or tied to a lineage is not stated on-page — forward.)
