- Zou is a land that flourished on the back of a colossal LIVING elephant which has walked the seas for roughly a millennium — the island never stays in one place.
- Zou cannot be tracked with a Log Pose (it isn't true land); heavy mist + reverse sea currents repel intruders.
- Zou is home to the Mink Tribe ('the Minks'), a people who have kept humankind away from their home for nearly a thousand years.
- A new member of the Seven Warlords is introduced: Edward Weevil, self-styled 'Whitebeard Jr.' (former bounty 480,000,000), who claims to be Whitebeard's biological son.
- Weevil and his mother Miss Buckin ('Whitebeard's lover') have been wiping out former Whitebeard-affiliated crews — the A.O. Pirates were the 18th destroyed, ~600 casualties.
- Bakkin directs Weevil to hunt Marco the Phoenix and the surviving Whitebeard Pirates for Whitebeard's 'inheritance'; Weevil wants revenge on Blackbeard, 'who killed Dada.'
- Bartolomeo's bounty has risen to 200,000,000.

Summary
Luffy’s half of the crew (Luffy, Zoro, Nico Robin, Usopp, Franky, the Wano samurai Kin’emon and Kanjuro, and Law) sail toward Zou aboard the Barto Club’s ship, the Mister Luffy Go, battling a violent hailstorm with a seasick landlubber crew. A cut to Navy HQ introduces the newest Warlord, Edward Weevil (“Whitebeard Jr.,” former bounty 480 million), who with his mother Miss Buckin has been annihilating former Whitebeard crews — the latest, the A.O. Pirates, the 18th town wiped off the map. Bakkin pushes Weevil to hunt Marco and the Whitebeard remnants for Whitebeard’s “inheritance,” and reads in the paper that “Garp’s grandson” felled Doflamingo. One week later, following Law’s vivre card through fog and reverse currents, the crew reaches Zou — only to discover the “island” is the back of a colossal living elephant that has walked the sea for nearly a thousand years, home to the secretive Mink Tribe.
New reveals
- Zou is alive. The destination is a land grown on the back of a gigantic, millennium-walking elephant (p. 14, 17). Zou (ゾウ) is literally the Japanese word for “elephant” (footnote, p. 15).
- Untrackable island: not real land, so a Log Pose can’t lock it; mist + reverse sea currents make it resist intrusion; it is always on the move (p. 13, 15).
- The Minks keep humankind away and have done so for ~1,000 years (p. 16) — first time the tribe is named to the cast (still not shown on-page).
- Edward Weevil, new Warlord, self-styled “Whitebeard Jr.,” former bounty 480,000,000; near-identical to a young Whitebeard, wields a giant bisento, wears Whitebeard’s jolly roger (p. 6–8).
- Miss Buckin, Weevil’s mother, self-styled “Whitebeard’s lover,” driving his rampage to claim Whitebeard’s “inheritance” (p. 9–11).
- Weevil/Bakkin have destroyed ~18 former-Whitebeard crews; the A.O. Pirates were the latest, ~600 casualties (p. 6–7).
- Weevil seeks revenge on Blackbeard for killing Whitebeard (“Dada”) (p. 10–11).
- Bartolomeo’s bounty is now 200,000,000 (p. 13).
- Luffy’s group rides the Mister Luffy Go (Barto Club’s ship), homing on Law’s vivre card to his Heart Pirates at Zou (p. 12–13).

Open questions raised
- Is Edward Weevil truly Whitebeard’s son, or is the claim (which even the WG calls “suspect”) a delusion shared with his mother?
- What is the “inheritance” Whitebeard supposedly left — treasure, territory, or something tied to the One Piece?
- How long has the elephant carrying Zou been walking, and why? A ~1,000-year span overlaps the Void Century — coincidence or design?
- Why have the Minks isolated themselves from humankind for a millennium?
- Has Sanji’s group (on the Thousand Sunny) already reached Zou ahead of Luffy’s party?
