• In the burning castle basement, Izo makes a last stand against CP-0, telling his sister Okiku to “just survive” (pp. 8-9). A CP-0 agent curses “Damn you, Izo!!”; Izo appears to take an agent down with him (“You were determined to take us down with you, then”) — an apparent fatal sacrifice (death implied, NOT explicitly confirmed on-page).

Wano Country (Ch. 1038)

• Fights the Beasts on the First Floor / First Basement beside his sister Okiku (“I was too sloppy against a large group”), worried for Kin’emon and Kiku.

• In a connecting hallway (Treasure Repository 2F → Castle 3F), shares a tearful reunion with his sister Okiku, who weeps “Brother-errr!!”; Izo deflects with samurai humor (“It’s merely an itch until my very life is expended”).

• First SHOWN on-page (first_appearance SET 0962): debuts as a starving urchin in Ringo, captioned “Son of Hanayanagi Dance Master: IZO” (p. 5). He and his younger brother Kikunojo (Kiku) are sons of the arrested Hanayanagi Dance School master; the family was split apart and they tried to busk by dancing. Taken in by Oden, becoming one of his retainers.
