Summary
At Shogun Orochi’s banquet in his castle in the Flower Capital, the oiran Komurasaki performs while Nico Robin — undercover as the trainee geisha “Orobi” — infiltrates the palace; cornered and interrogated by the Oniwabanshu, she claims to be the phantom thief Ushimitsu Kozo, escapes via a Hana Hana clone, and warns her teammates (Onami, Shinobu, Bonekichi) that her cover is blown and 11 ninja are loose in the palace. Orochi, flirting with Orobi and fawning over Komurasaki, talks shop with the yakuza boss Kyoshiro (who owns Komurasaki’s pleasure hall and summoned Kaido’s Tobi Roppo), then spirals into his paranoia about the Akazaya Nine and Toki’s prophecy — the 20th year since Kozuki Oden’s death, when Oden’s retainers return to remove his head, and the fear that Momonosuke still lives. Komurasaki’s little kamuro Toko can’t stop laughing at the cowardly shogun; Orochi moves to kill the child, Komurasaki shields her and refuses to grovel (“I am the daughter of a samurai!!!”), and an enraged Orochi transforms into a giant eight-headed serpent as the Oniwabanshu finally locate Robin.
New reveals
- Orochi shown on-page for the first time — and revealed to have a serpent Devil Fruit: his rage manifests as a transformation into a giant eight-headed serpent (Yamata-no-Orochi form), p.16–17. The fruit is not named on-page.
- Komurasaki came from Boss Kyoshiro’s pleasure hall; Orochi admits her “secret nature has me terrified,” and bystanders note she “always puts that mask on” / “I wonder why, whenever she plays that song…” (p.3).
- Kyoshiro “summoned Kaido’s Tobi Roppo” to do his bidding (p.9) — first on-page link between the yakuza boss and Kaido’s elite.
- Robin’s cover identity: she investigated “the flows of money through the Flower Capital” and claimed to be the legendary thief Ushimitsu Kozo (p.4); escaped with a Hana Hana clone “just in case.”
- Fukurokuju and the Oniwabanshu are named as Orochi’s ninja guard — “the best of the best” (p.6).
- Toki’s “year of vengeance” prophecy restated by Orochi: 20 years since Kozuki Oden died; “Oden’s will yet lives”; the Akazaya Nine (red-scabbard samurai, led by Kin’emon) have returned and ready themselves to take the shogun’s head (p.10). The Kozuki bloodline “has not yet died out” — Oden’s son Momonosuke still lives, his body never found (p.11).
