A reader asks whether this Wano carpenter is the same Minatomo introduced back in the Vol. 7 SBS (the East-Blue carpenter who fixed the wrecked door at Foosha Village’s bar). Oda: not the same person — they share the surname because they are related by blood. Decades ago a ship from Wano reached the East Blue , and one of the descendants of someone aboard “is a person everybody is familiar with” — a (so-far unnamed) canon lineage Oda flags as a minor future story thread.
