• Begs to be allowed back onto the island to break his petrified followers out of the gas-paralysis before the poison kills them, promising to “come right back and go to jail”; granted permission (pp. 2–3).

Punk Hazard (Ch. 696) — surrenders to the Navy; joins the party

• He and Caesar’s other defectors — all dosed with trace poison — choose to surrender to the Navy (“the government will treat us if we come quietly”) rather than remain Caesar’s test subjects (p. 3): “I’d rather rot in jail than be Caesar’s test subject.” Later laughs and drinks at the joint G-5/Straw-Hat party (pp. 16, 18).

• Contradicts the off-page Ch. 667 “eliminated” report: Brownbeard is alive on-page, having turned against Caesar Clown. He carries the fleeing Straw Hats and G-5 marines toward the only exit (“You mind giving us a ride… Brownbeard?” / “Hurry, Brownie!! Put on a burst!!!”, pp. 12, 15).
• Leaps the wounded through the closing gate (“And we’re through!!!”, p. 18); G-5 marines react “Did he turn traitor on the master?!” (p. 15).

Punk Hazard (Ch. 676) — sea-prism-cuffed captive, straining to warn the runners

• Held captive with Team Luffy, restrained by sea-prism stone (“Stupid… sea prism stone… ugh… can’t… yell…”); strains to warn the fleeing group about the gas — “you gotta ruuun… Watch out, guys!! That smoke is dangerous!!!” (p. 16). Reacts in alarm to Smiley’s transformation (“What happened?!! …it’s gas!!!”, p. 9).

Punk Hazard (Ch. 674) — survives the Yeti; turns on his “Master”; his pride survives

• Survived the Cool Brothers’ beating — “charred all over” but alive (p. 11). Caesar: “The Cool Brothers gave you a licking… but you kept on ticking” (p. 12). (Clarifies the off-page “eliminated” framing carried at 0667.)

Punk Hazard (Ch. 661) — the “Boss” Crocodile Centaur of the lakeside bandits

• On-page he is captioned only as the “Boss” Crocodile Centaur (Former Pirate), bounty ฿80,060,000 (p. 3) — the name “Brownbeard” is not printed here; the identification rests on the exact bounty match (his prior “over 80 million”) + former-pirate + crocodile-centaur form + his established Punk-Hazard role.
• Now a crocodile-bodied centaur and “Boss” of a band of centaur “lakeside bandits.” His men bombard Team Luffy’s boat on the central lake to rob the crew of their warm coats, deliberately aiming at the water to capsize it (“you should have aimed for the surface of the water from the start,” p. 3).

• Brownbeard’s centaur patrol sends the distress call that draws both Luffy and the Marines — “We’re being killed by a samurai!! …It’s so cold… is that you, Boss?!” (p. 10). The “Boss” the centaurs call for is Brownbeard.

Post-War (Ch. 594)

• In the New World, the imitator “great pirate Brownbeard” (bounty over 80 million) brags that his seized island “is my territory now” — only to run into Basil Hawkins, who reads death on his face (p. 18).
