Summary
The Nine Red Scabbards’ surprise strike sends Kaido — in dragon form — crashing down through the Skull Dome; their blades, infused with Ryuo (Armament Haki), reopen the very scar Oden once carved into him, and for the first time Kaido screams in pain (“Why do their blades pierce me?! Why does it hurt?!”). The Beasts Pirates realize the “yakuza” they imprisoned in Udon were the real vassals of Oden in disguise, and the party erupts into open war. Elsewhere on the floor Yamato repudiates Kaido outright — “let my father die,” “I’m not on your side anymore” — and trades blows with the Tobi Roppo’s Ulti while vowing this is the day Yamato becomes Kozuki Oden. Big Mom charges Luffy bellowing “Straw Hat!!!”; Nami (with the homie Zeus) zaps her with Eleclaw / Lightning Cloud Rod and flees with Carrot. Kaido lectures Luffy and Kin’emon — recapping Punk Hazard, Zou, and the twenty-year plan — and warns that pirates always betray; Kin’emon answers that Luffy will one day stand at the pinnacle of this sea and that daybreak will come to Wano even if every Scabbard dies. A report names Marco the Phoenix at the entrance with Charlotte Perospero, the former Warlord Law, and the Udon prisoners, all working together; Queen scoffs at “a few hundred men.” Luffy roars that it’s an all-out war and he came to whoop the whole lot of them; Kaido accepts the challenge and, having “sobered up,” carries the fight up to the open Dome Roof — “an open space is best, just like the last time.” There the Scabbards spring their trap: they brought Mink warriors from their kingdom, snow falls “like flower petals” beneath a full moon, and a grinning Mink purrs “the purrfect night… to watch the full moon” as Sulong is primed.
New reveals
- The Scabbards wound Kaido and reopen Oden’s scar. Kaido recognizes the injury: “The scar I got from Oden!!” Their Ryuo-infused blades pierce his hide and make him scream — Beasts crew react in disbelief (“Kaido’s… screaming?!!”). (Pages 3–7)
- Yamato openly defects from Kaido. “Let my father die!!” / “I’m not on your side anymore!!” — Yamato fights Ulti, who demands payback “for what you did to me,” while declaring “This is the day when I become Kozuki Oden at last!!” (Pages 9–10)
- A multi-faction raid is confirmed converging. A Beasts scout reports Marco the Phoenix and Charlotte Perospero at the entrance, the former Warlord Law, and the Udon prisoner-samurai — “they’re all working together… and they just keep coming!!” (Page 15)
- The Scabbards’ open-roof trap. They anticipated Kaido wouldn’t fight in dragon form inside the dome and deliberately drew him to the Dome Roof, recreating Oden’s last stand — “an open space is best.” (Pages 18–19)
- Mink warriors brought from Zou + full moon = Sulong primed. “So we brought many a warrior from our kingdom with us… the snow is light, like flower petals, to watch the full moon… the purrfect night.” (Page 19)
- Luffy declares total war: “It’s an all-out war!!! I came here to whoop the whole lot of you!!!” Kaido accepts. (Pages 14, 16)

Open questions raised
- Will the full moon trigger a controlled Sulong transformation in the Mink warriors on the Dome Roof?
- How badly is Kaido actually wounded — is the reopened Oden scar a real vulnerability or merely a shock?
- Yamato has openly broken with Kaido and beaten/fought Ulti — will Yamato now fight alongside the alliance?
- Can Marco, Perospero, Law, and the prisoner-samurai hold the entrance against the full Beasts–Big Mom force?
