Structural lore — a Wano festival whose night is the set date of the Onigashima raid.
What we know
- Ch. 920: A Wano festival. The Kozuki alliance sets its raid on Kaido’s Onigashima for the night of the Fire Festival, two weeks hence (pp. 16–17) — chosen as cover to gather forces and behead the enemy leadership in secrecy.
- Ch. 936: The raid deadline is restated for the Udon side: the imprisoned Kawamatsu is told the decisive battle is “nine days from now, the night of the Fire Festival” (p. 2).
- Ch. 945: Kin’emon fixes the raid to “the night of the Fire Festival” as he rallies Ashura Doji in Kuri — the festival is now explicitly the timing key for the Onigashima assault, alongside freeing the crescent-marked prisoners (p. 12).
- Ch. 950: The Onigashima raid is set for the night of the Fire Festival, eight days away — the loyalists are called to storm Onigashima in the Kozuki name to take the heads of Kaido and Orochi (Kin’emon & Ashura Doji, pp. 12–13).
- Ch. 951 p. 6: The Flower Capital’s Fire Festival is described as “a ceremony to mourn and remember the dead… the time when our wishes and feelings reach them more than ever”; sky boats are being built for it. The Kozuki alliance has set its Onigashima raid for the night of the festival.
- Ch. 955 (Raid timing): “The day of the Fire Festival is here at last” — the Kozuki raid begins on the day of the festival, the same day the Shogun’s procession passes through the Flower Capital; the rendezvous is reached via a switched port (Habu → Tokage Port). Wano Act Two ends here (p. 17).
